Products are highly chemical and they don't intend to honor refunds

UPDATE: The response to this review is in line with the experience I have had throughout this process and since May 21. That is, almost two months in which the company has evaded taking any action or responsibility. Mayraki aka Conebee has all documentation and photos of the damage done by their products to my hair. We all should want businesses to be successful but we should also expect them to conduct business in a transparent manner. It's not ethical to use misleading advertising, selling products that can cause damage and not listing all the ingredients so clients can decide if they are willing to use them or not. At this point the charges are being disputed through the bank.

Original review:
If I could give Mayraki, aka Conebee, 0 stars I would. Found them as a Google recommendation while looking for organic and natural hair products. However, their products are not natural nor are as advertised on their website and by several social media influencers. Beyond this, beware that in spite of their website saying they have a 30-day return policy, they only allow for returns and refunds if the product is unopened and unused. This was later relayed to me by the company's rep on an email. Obviously, this is highly questionable. How would you know the product is not as expected unless you open and try it? Unfortunately, unaware of all this, I purchased two orders (May 19 and 20) to take advantage of a 15% discount code they offered me after my first purchase. The issues soon started. They shipped the first order after 10 days in spite of charging expedited shipping (3-5 day delivery), and only after I involved PayPal. There was no refund for that extra cost. But, even worst, their product for gray hair that was advertised as natural and without dyes, created to enhance the customer's original and natural hair color, contains a chemical dye that is not listed in the ingredients. This stained my brown and gray hair with a very unnatural looking orange. My hairdresser is still trying to fix this. After contacting them about this issue and placing a dispute with PayPal, Mayraki finally advised to try hydrogen peroxide, which is no longer recommended for human use given its toxicity. Each and every single one of the products I received has a pungent chemical smell. Obviously I'm not using any of them and will find a way to dispose in an environmentally friendly manner. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to get a refund. Throughout this process they have been very evasive. Although they list a business address in California, they show no place of manufacture on their products. Looking into this company, it seems they are based in Singapore. I am truly amazed they are able to sell their products in the US. My recommendation is to avoid them.

Scam company

Scam company. I placed an order for them four months ago. Not only they haven't posted my order, they don't respond to my emails and they refuse to refund me. Avoid buying anything from them.

I actually like the product

I actually like the product, although it’s a total scam! Is a dye; looks, smells and acts like one. Smells like ammonia. It doesn’t reverse greys. For me it works well to cover my greys conveniently in a couple of minutes. I only use it once or twice a week and the colour works ok with my natural brown. I hated having to dye my hair so this is much easier. It’s expensive for a dye though. It has stained towels but later washed out. For some reason you purchase what you believe to be one item, but get two bottles. I didn’t believe it would work but thought I would give it a go—I’m glad I did. I’ve been using it for 3 months and still on the first bottle. I wish there were similar products on the market that are applied in the same way, at a lower cost and that are honest about how they work.

Cogeco staff are knowledgeable and trustworthy

Cogeco staff are knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy. We don’t have internet early this morning. Paul with employee number 593 help me for 1/2 hour to get it fixed. Then he referred my to Irma Loyalty client manager to give me as loyal client an extra pod with no activation fees. My wife and I were very pleased and happy. Their honesty and professionalism will always be appreciated.
I will always refer Cogeco to our neighbours and friends.Way to go Cogeco!!!

i wouldnt recommend purchasing from…

i wouldnt recommend purchasing from this company. their customer service sucks and any attempt for a refund is useless. I accidentally ordered 2 items from this company and it took a month before it was delivered and the sad thing is i was out of the country and so the item was sent back and now they wont resend it back, i ask for a refund but their customer service is not helpful. for customers planning on a purchase please read the reviews first before attempting to order. this bad reviews are legit.

My sight test was completed by Haydn in an understanding and diligent manner who was being overseen by an advanced member of the company. The Anti-grey Treatment will not stain after it dries out. You may also use a towel to wrap up your hair before going to bed since the natural anti-grey hair treatment has its original color from herbal extract instead of transparent form so you may notice a dark color when applied to your hair. Please be advised that you need to use the anti-gray hair treatment daily morning and night for around 3-4 weeks to see the results.

We process refunds for circumstances that are out of our hands such as allergic reactions prompted by pollen allergic skins or received damaged packages and other considerations our Subject Matter Expert sees fit.
We will do our best to make it up to you the best way our policy can accommodate. If you have unused and unopened remaining products, we would love to walk you through how to process a RETURN for a REFUND.

Agree with the reviews

Reading through some of the other feedback, I need to agree. This is not a product worth investing. I have been using it for nearly 3 months and I have not seen any changes at all except mismatched hair color.

It does not work as described and stains everything.

I used the anti grey formula several years ago, but it was different, more liquid and very messy. I stopped using it after it stained my furniture.
This new formula is more like a lotion, easy and quick to use. I’ve been using the product for only a week or so and the difference is clear to see.
The company say it’s not a dye, but my palms have darkened slightly, despite ensuring I wash them immediately after use.

So I’ve been using this product for a few weeks now and initially thought it was working. However, on reading other reviews, where other users reported the product coloured the grey hairs brown, which makes the grey look less obvious. On closer inspection, I agree, my grey hairs look gingery and not my natural black colour.

Aside from this, everything it touches becomes stained. My silk pillowcases are ruined and I came home from work, took my light blue shirt off to see the collar was brown.

The product is heavy and weighs the hair down my hair feels dirty and tacky and my scalp itches. The palms of my hands are also stained. Unfortunately I purchased two bottles and they weren’t cheap. I will try to finish them, but won’t purchase again.

As for the smell, well it smells like old fashioned perming lotion, you can smell the ammonia, so as far as the supplier claiming the product is all natural, I really do not believe this.

Save your money, you will only really ever colour grey hair with dyes.

Don't trust all the 5* ratings on Mayraki website

I agree with other reviewers on trustpilot.
I persistently tried Mayraki Anti Grey Restoring Treatment until I nearly finished 2 bottles. I also came to the conclusion that it's just a gradual hair dye (dye applied daily to your hair !). Slowly it stains the hair a greenish-brownish color (not the original hair color, mine is black) so looking overall gives the impression of less white, but the new roots are always very white ie no melanin pigments are taken up into the roots ! And because of the daily application / massage in (very fiddly and time consuming) my hair is dry, brittle, shedding! On top of that my scalp itches like hell ! And more, it stains everything, bathroom surface, vanity, comb, etc... also my pillow (which has a protector, then a pillowcase, then another black pillowcase to prevent staining, and Mayraki colour managed to go thru all the 3 layers !).
Mayraki asked me to review the product, which I did with a 1* rating, and of course it was never posted !

Hi placed an order on 30/3/2024 and it’s 24/04/2024 today. I haven’t received my package yet and I have emailed them so many times and they are not sure to let me know when I will be receiving my package. Terrible customer service and I don’t trust this website. It’s not cheap product and for the price of product and shipping charges you are getting a crap respond.

They stole my money and never shipped…

They stole my money and never shipped the product. I have sent them many emails and they refuse to reply. I have called there number and no one picks up and they want you to send them an email which they never reply. I hope my credit card company can reverse the charge.
DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY!

They did eventually ship the product, only after I had to post reviews and threaten reversing the credit card charges. They didn't even apologize in an email. All they did was just send a tracking number. Very unprofessional. Lastly, I realize that they are based in China and all orders are shipped from there and not North America as described on the website. Very shady.

Anti-Grey Hair Color Restoration

I ordered 2 bottles of the Anti-Grey Hair Color Restoration, which came in a new glass bottle versus the plastic bottle shown on the website, and the color of the liquid in each of the new glass bottles is a see-through light tan color and not black like their website shows us. When comparing the color within the new glass bottles to the free product sample they sent of the Anti-Grey Hair Color Restoration it is clear the product is way off. The free sample product has a dark black color exactly like the website shows and the two bottles they sent me the product inside is a see-through light tan color like it's missing ingredients.

Something is definitely wrong with the two products I received, as the liquid inside looks nothing like their website shows. The free sample product that came looks like thick black motor oil, which I expected to be in the two bottles I paid for and it's more like petroleum jelly with some faint yellow and light brown mixed in. Wish I could upload pictures. Quality control should be better because I'm sure I'm not the only one that received a bad batch of products. I sent the company a message on replacement, so I'm hoping they respond.

Regarding your concern about the color difference, it is related to the duration of air contact, the dark color is due to oxidation reaction. In other words, after the anti-gray is produced, the gel is light brown at first, but as time goes on, the color of the gel gets darker and darker.
You can apply a proper amount of gel on the clean paper, and observe whether the color of the gel is consistent after the oxidation reaction 2-3 hours later.
