As we discussed via email, you did not actually buy this item from us.
Yes it is possible that moisture can remain on the steel prior to coating and this can cause rusting of the legs over the course of a few weeks to a few months, at most. In the rare instances this does happen, we would replace the items without any issues for our customers.
Your purchase was made almost 5 years ago now and the photos you sent us did show signs of chips and scratches to the paint which would allow moisture to get to the steel and would not be classed as a manufacturing defect.
We suggest that you contact the company who you purchased the legs/furniture from and see if they are able to offer you any kind of resolution.
As mentioned, we are happy to give you a 50% discount code to order some new leg with us, but we cannot replace a set of 5 year old legs for free, that were not purchased from us in the first place.
