Do NOT buy Featured option... it is a total scam. They only just put a featured banner over the corner of your ad... but NON-featured listings still get placed above yours as they are listed, which still pushes your "featured" listing to the bottom! Also.... my listing has been up for over 5 weeks now and supposedly has had 668 views, yet I have not been contacted with an offer not once! I have repeatedly asked for a refund.... only to be told to wait it out and be given a boost back to the top and told how surprised they are that I haven't had an offer. What a joke! The only hair I saw marked as sold since I've been on was in Brazil .... I'm in the USA and I am certain this is not the best place for a US listing. I feel totally scammed! $25 straight down the toilet. Oh... ALSO - they vet their reviews/feedback so that on their site you can only see the good reviews. I learned that when I tried to post my negative review! It did not go to the site.... just to the moderators and I got an email thanking me for my feedback. HA! SCAMMERS! IMMORAL! HIDING TRUTH! THIS IS WRONG!!! THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!!

I was first skeptical in joining this site, as they ask for upfront fee to sell your hair.. but I gave it a try anyways, read some comments and took pictures and posted it up.. I was very surprised, I got an interested buyer within a few hours and the hair was sold within 24 hours. My first experience was consider great, as the buyer was easy to work with. I do believe there are high demands for certain types of hair, and with good clear pictures and description the hair can be sold. The only down side (which has nothing to do with this site) is the PAYPAL fee that is charged when accepting buyers money.. which i thought was a bit much.. but what can you do, can't trust any other payment app... so OVERALL this site is great for what it is meant to do (platform to sell hair online).. looks cheesy for my taste.. but it works, so no complain.

I recently purchased a buyers membership. I have been a member before but stopped when I didn’t get any responses. I posted an add to sell hair, then decided to join the buyer pool again. And again not get responses.
Then I had the idea to respond to my own ad. The message didn’t go to the email or junk folder. My messages were not being sent.
Considering over various projects have been buying and sell hair on this site for years this is troubling. I can provide references of the people who made good deals with me. So why are my messages not being sent?

I read the reviews here and visited the site. It talked a good game. Sell your hair through the hairsellon website (good name) and get your hair's worth, maybe get a small bid war going on. But, first, put a sale package to do that. To do that, register with the site. Once you do that, "oh, now we want money to post your ad!"
Not impressed with this rip-off tactic. No idea of what my overlong shaggy mane might draw and they want $ up front.

Only here to warn people about Jim Jones. Yesterday he also tried to scam me to shave my head but I didn't fall for it. Thankfully I trusted my gut. He found my ad on another hair ad but didn't contact me on there but found me through my Instagram. He dmed me through a profile with no followers or following with no post or profile picture but the ig names was jdjones121213 but recently changed it as buyinghair1. I read someone talk about how he shared videos and pictures through drop box trying to show proof he's the real deal. He did the exact same thing to me as well and as well as unsend it afterwards. Thankfully never cared to pay attention to that. Never trusted the situation at all Thankfully!

I appreciate Hairsellon for providing an atmosphere & site for people to purchase & sell hair and for a fair price of the ad. Thank You!

Excellent!! Got quite a few inquiries which even started a mini bidding war. The winning bid price was received within 30 hours of posting the ad which is amazing. I sold my hair for over double the asking price, though I was swayed to chop off a bit more than I originally agreed to, but no regrets! Never thought I could sell my hair from $960 CAD! Only slight disappointment is that about $70 CAD was taken off the price sent due to Pay Pal conversion fees from USD to CAD. It would be nice to have another secure way to send cash that avoids conversion fees. Also, may be worth it to include the country of dollars in the price (e.g. $500 - is it USD or CAD or GBP, etc) on the website. Overall, great experience and I'd definitely use this website again in the future if I need to!

I listed my hair this spring. After dealing with many scammers (countless individuals who just wanted more pictures/videos of my hair, who would waste time discussing a transaction/negotiating before ultimately refusing to pay up front, etc), the listing eventually expired. I literally spent a month negotiating with one buyer only to have them stop responding (I guess they just wanted to talk to me about cutting my hair...?). Obviously in retrospect I should have realized they were not legitimately interested and cut off communication, but it was not easy to tell in the moment and I wasted a ton of time responding to them.
I had bought the lifetime listing, so once I emailed, HairSellon relisted the ad. Within a few days, a legitimate buyer contacted me and I was able to sell my hair for $650. The buyer was very professional. In the future, I would sell my hair directly to this buyer rather than listing another ad.

HairSellon has the potential to be a useful website, but in the current set up you have to wade through the sea of scammers and just totally bizarre requests you will get. DO NOT cut your hair before you receive payment. DO NOT provide additional photos/videos beyond a reasonable amount (eg what you are able to share on the ad).

In my opinion HairSellon should add a feature to allow buyers/sellers to review one another. This would allow future buyers/sellers to identify trusted parties. For instance, after 2 seconds on trust pilot, I found a review where a woman was scammed by 'Jim Jones'. I was actually also contacted repeatedly by this individual, who claimed to want to buy my hair for $4000. At the time, I didn't know trust pilot existed, so I tried googling 'Jim Jones' and 'hair' to see if I could find out about him, but nothing came up. While of course it was silly of me to waste time on this inquiry, I can also see why he is so successful in scamming people via this site (because anyone selling their hair is probably strapped for cash, and wants to believe their hair is worth that much. On top of which he has several convincing videos to share).
Having reviews on specific buyers could help reduce the abuse of this website.
As an aside, why has 'Jim Jones' not been banned from HairSellon? They are using your website to harass and scam people.

I only had my listing up for two days!
I sold it for slightly cheaper than what I was asking for but it was a reliable person and they were so easy to communicate with!
With Currency exchange rates I ended up making about $730 AUD on my hair
I'm so happy with this whole experience!

This website should not be used! Ladies, so I got scammed into shaving off all my hair by a man called Jim Jones. He sent me about 10 sets of other women doing the same thing. He sent it via dropbox, but he has since removed the links. He asks you to do 3 videos: 1. Saying that I am shaving my head for Jim Jones, 2. A video where you shave your hair without touching it, and it must fall on the ground, not tied up and not braided.3. then put it in two bags, and take another video, saying I have shaved my hair for Jim Jones. Then he said, he will release first half of payment. The second half of payment will be once he received a tracking number after the hair is weighed. His e-mail is: and his number is: +1 (321) 355 4410. I notified the website and they did nothing about this guy.I have images of this guy's videos and our whole chat thread. I think he gets off on this sort of thing. Having you shave your head for nothing. At the end he said he can't pay me because I had a clipper guard, which is something that was not in his : "terms" sheet, as I took a screenshot of that. So, I shaved using a clipper guard. He added that requirement of no guard plus shave with cream and razor after I already shave all my hair using a size 6 clipper. He also said he waited up the whole night for me to decide on shaving it and kept pushing for me to do it. Ladies this guy is a pedophile and obviously gets off on trying to humiliate women. Please please be careful of this website, it is a scam. Imagine this was a 16-year-old girl or some sex trafficked victim, who has no say in whether her hair gets sold or not. The site does not verify users or PayPal accounts.

I absolutely love this website! Thank you to your support team, especially Luke! At first I had some trouble uploading my ad, but I received so much help from Luke through the whole process, that really made all the difference in this experience! I was able to speak to a great buyer through the website and my hair was sold for my asking price on the second day. Wow! This is the second time I have used Hairsellon and it won't be the last! I definitely recomend your website to anyone who will listen!

I recognize that many people have successfully sold their hair on this site, but my listing expired with only two people contacting me: one asking if I was ok with their 'fetish' for silky hair, and another claiming to want to do a makeover video. It would be better if there were not a listing fee and if buyer messages were filtered for inappropriateness. Also, it would be much better if all messaging was through the site and not through email: I was very uncomfortable with those people having my email address.

Hairsellon is the best website to sell yout hair.. it is 100% guaranteed to sell your hair because this os a world wide website from people all around the world willing to buy all kinds of hair ... i sold my hair in under 48 hours from america to europe.. money tramsaccion was done easily thru paypal .. the buyer was HAPPY with my hair and i was happy with the purchase amount.. i alreasy recommended this website to all my friends

I've read the other reviews and dont understand how anyone sold their hair on this site. I paid $15 for the 60 day listing and the only people who have contacted me are scammers and people with hair fetishes. $15 isn't a ton of money so I can say it was worth a shot to try and sell my hair but would I list on this site again? No I won't. They really shouldnt charge you to list on this site. Would have Achieved the same result if I listed on Craigslist or eBay for free.

On the up side, HairSellon creates a space that seems reasonably safe to sell in. On the other hand, I did receive a lot of fraudulent offers.

Also, a couple of times I purchased a "lifetime" ad. The "lifetime" ad will still expire and there is no way to relist it without paying unless you contact the site administrators. They are not responsive and this takes several attempts before the "lifetime" ad will be relisted. That process uses a couple of months time.

I have used a free website in the past to sell my hair, and I was bombarded with scam attempts and e-mails from people who had no intention of purchasing from me. So this time, using HairSellon, the whole process was extremely quick and easy. Buyer was great to work with. Overall, a great experience and I'm sure I will be using them again!

Great experience!
Had an offer within 5 min of posting advert.
After several buyers and offers, came to an agreement within 48 hours to sell 16” of hair.
Process was smooth.
I felt safe to use website and use PayPal to receive payment for hair.
If God allows Would be willing to sell hair again on hairsellon site.
My daughters are now considering selling their hair on the hairsellon themselves.

I had a ponytail that was cut and stored about 4 or 5 years ago along with the 25 inches yet to be cut. Thanks to Hairsellon I sold both. They sold separately as it was two different buyers. I received $1000. The process was very easy. I would definitely use Hairsellon again.

I sold my hair in less a week! I had a good overall experience. I did get several emails from scammers, but hairsellon was able to give me great advice—they have excellent customer service!
