We had a wonderful trip with the Toyota Hiace. Plenty of space and well equipped. The only thing that nobody told us in advance is that the power outlets in the van only work when an outside cable is connected to power. Nevertheless we enjoyed it very much!

The car was very old and the construktion of the bed frame was awful. One Board was higher in the area where the hips lay. The pads didn't made that eval. I had every morning pain because of the differnce in hight. The towels began to smell as soon as they get a little bit wet. I think the are washed by a temperature which is not hot enough. It was not easy to find a filler for the campinggas the last morning. We searched with campermate but the Info to the first station was wrong. It would be a good improve if you would make a balance about the differnce of the gas weight and you fill it after give back.

Friendly helpful team, car and service as per description. Only positive experience.

A very comfortable and functionnal van for a 30 days trip for 2 people. A good compromise between size (easy to park) and comfort (hot shower...). Good experience for the check-in (Christchurch airport) and the drop-off (Auckland airport).

We had a great time with our little camper! 5 weeks driving around in NZ without any problem.
But: we had to replace the battery of the car key by our own. And email communication is really annoying! For most of my emails - and I wrote a lot! - I never got an answer! Btw: you need knowledge of Japanese language or you must have a lot of patience to be able to use the car audio system!

We had a very newly fitted out camper. (We noticed some we older of course)
The service was friendly and good.
Everything was as expected.

An indispensable tool. Great for finding public restrooms. Great for finding camp sites and even indicating where unlisted camp sites might be found.

Van was comfortable and well stocked.

A well structured and informative application allowing ease of access and easy to use booking in and checking in services.

Vehicle rented are old, more than 400 000 km, with warning on the monitor... We had to change our campervan after 1 week because it didn't start anymore...
Nevertheless the customer service for emergency is good, but I recommend to use another rental company even if you have to pay more... the losting time is too high with a bad vehicle

Easy pick up and drop off.The mattress could have been a bit thicker/softer but otherwise a good little van.

Easy and efficient check in. Van was clean and very well maintained. Couldn’t think of a better way to travel around new zealand

Happy campers is now part of Lucky rentals. Everything went well with the booking and deposit. The campervan was very old and run-down. The windows were leaking so that it dripped into the bed when it rained heavily. One window was screwed shut and another was fixed with gaffer tape so that it could not be opened. The car radio and the electric window lifter were not working and a car key broke off when we unlocked the passenger door. Only the on-board battery for the fridge did a good job over several days without driving. Overall, unfortunately, unsatisfactory quality/price ratio.

Friendly, helpful customer service. Being located close to the airport was very helpful.

Camper was very small.
mattresses were thin and you could feel join on bottom bed.
Pillow, sheets and duvet weren't of a very good quality for what you paid for overall.
Van was easy to drive and park - had pretty good power.
We couldn't use fridge as didn't go to camp ground - needs adaptor in van so you can plug into normal power outlets

The overall process was easy with a booking made on internet months prior, ou Van was handed to us new so the condition was pristine.
Had the Van for two weeks, from Christchurch to Christchurch (did a loop of the south island)
We had some issues with the drainage system in the Van but happy campers were really nice about it, helpful on the phone and gave us a small compensation for the inconvenience 👍🏼

Had an easy time with them, will rent a camper with them again.

We were transferred last minute from another hire company so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The check in system was straightforward, having done this online the night before, they were ready for us at collection time so we could make a quick getaway. Our van was basic but drove well and was well equipped. We were welcomed back by friendly staff for a quick and easy return. Would happily hire again!
