Avoid this company at all costs, I've been messed around by this company of tricksters. I recently purchased Etnies skate shoes, Joslin & on receipt/inspection they have minor defects. I've asked to return for refund or exchange, however they are reluctant to honer my consumer rights, and have spun the whole process around. 1st asked for photos, I sent. Then the labels inside Shoes, for Etnies, I sent. Now after several emails of me asking to return the trainers they have insisted that Etnies must credit them, before Hardcloud refund me. Normally most company like Rollersnakes or supereight, would agree the return , based on photo or physical inspection, & consumer rights and then refund or exchange. So the Hardcloud is basically saying you will have to wait for a refund, if Etnies credit hardcloud, you can keep the trainers and get a refund, because I wouldn't spend another penny with them. Here are some of the reply from the Laura or Hardcloud. Also, I have sent this to Etnies HQ, and consumer, ombudsman. Also social media links to warn other buyers.
1.We are sorry to read that there is a fault with the trainers. Are you able to send a photo please to show the issue?
2.Surf Street Limited owns three websites - Hardcloud, Minimodelshop and Lowlife - this explains why we have different "names" under one company umbrella.To get back to the subject of discount for the trainers - we'd like to offer you a discount of £16 (25%). Please advise whether you would like to accept this.
3.I'm just making enquiries with Etnies as to whether they need the faulty pair back. I will let you know about this
4.Etnies have asked for a picture of the label inside the tongue of the shoes - allegedly they need this when processing faulty items.
5.If Etnies give us a credit for the faulty trainers based on the photos, you will not need to return them.
It's great I would get to keep trainers with defects, however as a collector item, they don't cut it. I'm still in limbo, I did ask for exchange and money their way, even said no to £16 discount. I never come across this company before, I m beginning to regret buying from them now.the money for the trainers were paid for by my wife, from our little one for father's day
