The last time I ordered checks was 2018. I got 100 checks for $6.15. I misplaced 2 books so went to the bank to place an order because some information had changed. I ordered on 5/17/2024 and received on 6/7/2024. I received 80 checks and was charged $27.60. I was expecting an increased in price but not a $21.00 increase. This will be my last order from them. I can order checks from other companies and get more checks for less money. This is a rip-off.

unrequested Harland sent me an order of checks for a closed account. I had already opened a new Money Market account and requested checks per my bank(Synchrony) instructions. Received them .
A week later, whole new set of checks received with the closed account #. Wasted hours dealing with customer service at Harland. NO LIVE AGENTS. Put in all my acct. and routing #'s and line goes dead, no agent , were told very busy for two days.

Shame on the banks and credit unions for using such a terrible service for their checks. You pay extra for tracking and all you get is "en route". The tracking is useless. My tracking has been showing Salt Lake City to Bountiful for a week with no estimated date of delivery. These cities are not that far apart. They use DHL which hands it off to USPS and DHL tracking is terrible. They should refund customers who paid for tracking that they are not getting.
Phone Tree is a Joke
Their phone tree is ridiculous and hangs up on and doesn't understand what you submit if you interrupt the IVR. I called back 4 times and got disconnected each time. I need my shipping information since I never got an email with it and can't access their "portal" for some reason.

We needed checks quickly and had run out, we ordered new checks & had to rush them . We ordered the checks on 05-05-2024 & had them today 05-10-2024 this quick turnaround saved our butt!! We have used Harland Clarke before for our needs & will be using them again.

Don't order from these clowns . Ordered checks supposedly shipped on the 15th it's may 8th no checks super difficult to get someone on the phone just terrible customer service. Save your sanity and leave These clowns alone

Lost checks
My chewcks neer arrived Ordered 11/15/2023, supposedly mailed 11/17/2023 with DHL but the tracking number was for USPS. They are marked as delivered but they never arrived. This happened with an order 2 years ago. Then I could fincd a human to fix it. This time I have only gotten software on the phone telling me how I can pay for another order but not how to find out waht happened to my chescks and get them sent in a way that they will arrive

Zero stars. They took money from my bank account and never sent the checks I ordered. I contacted their “customer service”. They just send me the same automated email telling to call an automated number which tells me to call my bank which makes NO SENSE. I will get my money back from these thieves. Horrible experience :-( I accessed H-C via an email from Quicken, since I occasionally print business-size paper checks using Quicken. The checks were given an estimated delivery of two weeks. One month later no word, no delivery, nothing, nada. I went to the site to contact customer service, there's no phone number or on-line chat, only a form buried on some support page. I sent a message requesting the status of my order and never received a response. A week later, though, I went back to the Orders page on my account page and found the order status was "Cancelled" - with no explanation (grrr!) The only positive outcome of my experience was that they didn't charge my card for the submitted order (whew!) OK, I'm done! I'll look for a different supplier who actually wants my business and can actually deliver an order!

This review is done by a gurlfriend thts tired of seeing my boyfriend stress out(he's got high bp btw)evry single time he orders checks! Wish I read the reviews to start with. I ordered checks through them as my bank recommended. I even paid extra for the tracking. USPS said they were delivered but they were not. Absolutely can not talk with a live person at Harland Clarke. Get caught up in their automated system and when you think you are being connected to a live person, the system tells you to go to their website and hangs up. No luck with USPS either. Can not get a response there. Best if you do not order from this site.
Customer disservice
My initial order was not delivered because of an incomplete address. I called them to re-order and was told I would have new checks in a week.
After two weeks I tried to call and just selected anything in the menu to be able to talk to a human being. I was told that my order was on hold because my bank needed to verify my address. If I hadn’t called, I don’t think I ever would have known this and my checking account was already debited for the checks that I had ordered. Their website is pointless and their phone system is absolutely awful. Many times they just disconnect you, so you have to try and choose some thing like “cancel my order” so that you get to talk to a real person. I will never order from them again and I also told my bank that they are horrible to deal with.
They took my money and ran!
I ordered some checks from Harland through my bank around the end of December, 2022. Harland withdrew the money for my order on January 11th, 2023. It's now August 2023 and I've still never gotten my checks! I had to put a stop payment on the order, close my account down and open a new one because my checks are out there somewhere with all my financial info on them! My bank won't give me a refund either. They only offered my next order of checks for free. First, it's not FREE, I already paid for them! Second, I'm not about to make another order of checks from Harland to get lost out there somewhere again! I would give them a NEGATIVE 5 stars if I could! I will NEVER EVER order from Harland Checks again!
Where is customer service?
There are layers and layers before getting to customer service. There is no way to "search" the site for a return. The company sent an "accessory" I did not purchase and makes it as hard as possible to send it back. I have always hated this company, but since so many have chosen not to use checks, they're even worse.

When I received my checks, they now come in stacks of 40 not 20 and they do not tear off properly at all. Do not recommend. I will never purchase again.
Before Harland Clarke makes a change like this, try tearing your checks off first.
