Extremely disappointed I'm no longer able to order the checks I've been ordering for a long time from my bank. Harland Clarke is now only offering one style check and charging more for less. I don't know if other financial institutions are in the same boat, only being offered one style, but ready to bank elsewhere because of it!
Banks and credit unions should stop using them!
This company has the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with! They don’t respond to your emails and the phone is set up where no one answers and they keep referring you to your bank. But, the bank keeps referring you back to them! They stay in business because there’s no competition and all the credit unions and banks use them. I hope my checks last for the next twenty years, because I’ll never order checks from them again! -J.R
What a RIP OFF!!
What a RIP OFF!!! Charging $19.98 to ship 20 checks! How can this company get away with this? A few stamps would do the job! Is this "shipping" a cost center?? Insane.
Terrible customer service
I would give less than one star. customer service does not exist after ordering. they lose shipments no phone number can be found to speak to a human this has happened to me more than once only phone numbers are for automated ordering or tracking orders
Absolutely horrible customer service
Absolutely horrible customer service! Mostly because it’s impossible to get anyone on the phone! I waited 3 times, sometimes over an hour and no answer. I finally emailed someone and a few days later they responded that they due to the personal nature of the checks, they can’t connect by email. I asked them to call me, but they just send the same reply again by email. I think of this like a scam where they don’t have any way to get ahold of them. Wish I would have looked at these reviews before I ordered.

Terrible customer service. Almost a month and no checks. They claim they were returned after I contacted them almost a month later looking for them, but the address is correct. Same address as previous checks delivered.

I am writing this review while I am currently "on hold" with Harland Clarke for 42 minutes. I am attempting why the checks I ordered three weeks ago have not yet arrived. According to my order status, they should have arrived on 12/16/24, however they are still not here and there is no way to track them. They apparently have no interest in customer service (their "Trust Pilot" rating is only 1.4). I'm actually surprised it's that high. Worst customer service I have ever seen in my 75 years.....Update: my hold time is now
at 46 minutes!!!!
Time sensitive issue
Time sensitive issue. Needed access to personal check. Called to see if we can expedite. Told me for 47.99 I can have an overnight delivery. Otherwise the normal delivery would be roughly in 7 days. Tracking shows the delivery to be on day 10 which is worse than the normal delivery. I am so glad I paid unreasonable amount so get the checks early. This company absolute does not care about you or your needs

Awful business. Null customer service. No check register. No cover to put in the checks. No one to call for help. I have no idea how much they’re paying the banks to work with them.
Harland Clarke company is a lousy company with very, very poor customer service.
Harland Clarke company is a jerk. They made a mistake on my checks. First they said the checks were good. And then said I could get a refund. And then they changed their mind again & said they wouldn’t refund my money for their mistake & said if I did want new checks I would have to paid $25. It’s their mistake not mind. I will never use this lousy company again. And I will put the word out to my family & friends about what had happened. Harland Clarke this all happened because of your lousy customer service.
Terrible experience twice
Twice in the space of several months Harland Clarke claimed they'd shipped my checks, and twice in a row they failed to arrive. I have no confidence they actually shipped these checks. USPS is not this bad. And the option Harland Clarke offers for tracking is both overpriced and no guarantee of delivery. Banks please take note and find a better alternative!
Garbage
Garbage, should have know better after reading the reviews. Payed extra to have them delivered fast. Here I sit. No checks, past the promised date ..THEY HAVENT EVEN SHIPPED YET
How are they in business?
Unlike many reviewers, I had only paid for the slowest, untrackable shipping method for my checks, BUT THEY ARRIVED anyway :-)
My problem was the checks themselves. Basically everything that could have an error (except for my account and routing number), DID. I called my bank. That poor customer service person spent 40 minutes, going back and forth, putting me on hold, trying to make my replacement order right with Harland-Clarke (on her other line). BUT SHE COULDN’T!! She told me I had to CALL THEM MYSELF to fix one last thing! BUT the phone number she gave me for Harland-Clarke, WAS THE BANK’S PHONE NUMBER. Eventually she just gave me a refund.
Avoid this company
Avoid this company, if possible. I placed and order and it was delivered to the wrong house. They USE DHL for delivery however took no responsibility on tracking or finding where my order was delivered. With such important information you would think they would be more proactive. Spoke to customer service and they offer ZERO support and frankly could careless about helping me. Simply pass the blame on to the post office. So frustrating and scary that customers security of information is not a priority.

I placed my reordered on 6 June for business checks. Simple nothing but basic business checks. They don't offer free tracking and after 17 days they say they were shipped with a delivery of 21 June. That was 3 days ago and no checks. Support is automated and tells you the same thing and then hangs up. No contact, no checks and the update on line states maybe July they may arrive? No tracking, no info, no CHECKS.
Absolutely horrible, how can Banks use this Company
If I could given them zero stars I would, they are that bad. I ordered checks on June 2nd 2024 through my financial institution. On June 10th I received an email the order has shipped. We have now June 19th and I still don’t have the checks. Estimated delivery date passed as of yesterday the 18th.
I ordered standard shipping because the checks are already overpriced with $26.69 with Tax for 40 checks.
I have ordered checks through my bank numerous times before and never had a problem. I did use shipping without tracking back then as well and checks arrived within 10 days max.
I have learned my lesson and will never order checks from Harland Clark through my bank ever again.
Horrible customer service
I placed my order for my clients checks three times. This was to have been a courtesy order for my client and he was not to have been charged. On the third attempt, the Harland Rep said that he would pick up the cost due to the inconvenience and delay. He also sent them over night, which worked. Unfortunately, my client was then billed for the order! In calling in to Harland, which is a horrible experience all on it's own due to their poor quality phone tree, I received poor quality and rude service. When I asked for a supervisor, to which I was told that there wasn't one. I asked to be placed on hold until one was available. At last count, I was on hold for 17 minutes and waiting.....
