It’s six months since my transplant, and I’m delighted to report that my transplanted hair is thicker than my natural hair ever was, which my surgeon, Dr. T, assured me it would be. I was also assured that the full effect would probably take twelve months or so, and going by current results, I’m right on track to hit the target, so my warmest thanks to Harley Street.

Here’s a summary of my experience:

Pros:

Dr. T. Was the consummate professional with a wonderful bedside manner. As a nervous patient, all my concerns pre-op were addressed, and a wealth of advice re aftercare duly given, with the invitation to make contact at any time if I needed further reassurance ;

For instance, a minor query made via the help line was answered by Dr. T the same day;

The operation was a protracted affair, but regular breaks were frequent. I’ve been asked if it was painful, which it really wasn’t. In fact, the only abiding memory was of an increased heart rate, a consequence of local anaesthesia to help with optimum blood pressure;

Resultant and expected swelling within a few days around the face soon subsided and well within the two week window of ‘abstinence’ following the op, and here the medical pack came in handy. After a brief consultation with Dr. T, I purchased some E45 shampoo which helped with some minor itching to the donation area of my scalp, which soon subsided;

Sleeping with a neck pillow (part of the medical pack with which each patient is issued) for the first few days isn’t as bad as I thought, and I soon adapted to it;

Although I was expecting the prescribed 2,500 grafts, Dr. T and her assistant were willing to harvest nearer 3000 to create a new hairline, for which I was most grateful;

The harvested areas ( donor grafts) are invisible now that my hair has grown;

Regular video consultations with Sarah, the medical clinician, were of great use and provided extra reassurance;

Great communication with Harley Street, and nothing is a problem;

I found the cost of my transplant most reasonable.

Cons:

I don’t really have any, apart from some itching and dry skin where the new hair is implanted, but this is only of minor concern. I expect it’s due to the nerves in my scalp recovering. I treat this with E45 shampoo and plenty of conditioner.

So, would I recommend Harley Street and their team? Absolutely, and the builder whose firm carried out extensive renovations to my home about the time of my op is a prospective customer!

I had very awesome experience here. There was first video conference consultation and then I booked on available slot. I was kept updated via WhatsApp. On the day of surgery I was very well looked after by Doctor M Ditta and his staff from morning until evening. Each step was planned and performed meticulously. You can ask any questions on WhatsApp after surgery and you get immediate response. Extremely friendly and compassionate team.

My experience with Harley Street Hair Transplant has been fantastic straight from my first communication on 27/04/24 which was about my eyebrow hair transplant with the amazingly lovely Sara (Lead Patient Advisor). Was only 3 days later my free consultation via video call with the amazing Doctor Mohammed Ditta. Dr Ditta has a great energy and shows his compassion and confidence on helping me to get the confidence back from total eyebrow hair loss, which I never deemed possible. He was very informative of the procedure that was being held in Manchester clinic and putting me at ease by answering all my questions. So as of 20/06/24 I am now on day 5 post op and it has been a journey. Sara has been with me every step of the way answering all questions, checking in on me regularly and supporting me through this process.

Day of procedure was so settling that I didn’t have time to be over thinking. The very cheerful warm welcoming lady at the front of house on entry to then being greeted by harley street hair transplant director Yannis who is great, he was funny, welcoming and just so caring, being supportive throughout the whole procedure popping in checking on me and even helping me exit building after procedure which to me is a company of kindness. Dr Ditta in person was fantastic with warm energy and patience he explained everything in detail ensuring my comfort throughout the procedure and his two lovely girls on his team were amazing. He ensured I had an understanding of the after care process to ensure best results and ensuring support from the company if anything is needed. Still having regular communication ensuring my recovery is still going well, which is it!! Confident in my eyebrow hair transplant journey!

If anyone is thinking big having this procedure done I would highly recommend it to be done here. I’m so excited to see the new hair growth starting and it’s only 3 mths since the procedure. The surgeon was absolutely first class and the after care is amazing. Regular check ups and in between checks you can pick the phone up and speak to them even if it’s just for reassurance.

My experience overall was very good. From the initial contact and communication I had with Sara to the day of surgery. I am past the 12 month mark (Trustpilot doesn't let me put in my date of experience before a year ago today for some reason) and I'm very happy with the results of my hair transplant. My first point of contact was Sara. She was informative and explained the procedure, pre and post, and answered all questions. There were and have been since, constant contact, which has been appreaciated.
On the day of the procedure, Mohammed introduced me to the team assisting him, and explained everything that would take place that day. He was friendly, and made sure I understood everything that was explained. It is a long day, patience is required but the team made sure I was comfortable throughout. Recovery post procedure takes time (which I am currently half way through) and I am looking forward to its completion and the seeing the results.

I was a bit apprehensive going through with the hair transplant, but I was made to feel really comfortable during the procedure. The whole thing took one day to finish and the results now are definitely worth it!

I have had a really great experience with HSHTC. All of my worries and doubts were put to ease, I had help with travel and accommodation and the procedure itself was a really enjoyable experience for me. Everyone from the team that I have met or dealt with has been so friendly, helpful and reassuring, I can't thank them enough. It's been about 6 weeks since my procedure and I'm really happy with how everything has went, I just have to be patient now and wait for the results.

From start to end, Harley Street gave me a comfortable and relaxing experience. From the initial consultation with Sara, who gave me a great understanding of the procedure, to Dr. Tetiana who performed the procedure itself, i was made to feel at ease and my needs completely understood.

The clinic was very comfortable and relaxing and very accessible from Manchester, which was important to me as i wanted to be at home in the coming hours and days, rather than traveling through airports and flying on planes should I have opted for a procedure abroad. Being in comfort immediately afterwards was the most important thing for me and i was home within 30 mins.

The two support clinicians who aided with my procedure were brilliant and conversation with them made the time fly by.

Lunch was provided at 12pm, although i opted to bring my own, but i was taken care of throughout the day and couldn't have wished for more.

The aftercare instructions and guidance were easy to understand, down to small details such as using antihistamines to stop the itching (which was really useful to know!). I returned to work 2.5 weeks after the surgery, with no visible signs of surgery. I was extremely pleased with how quickly my healing process was (approximately 10-12 days).

Sara has followed up once to see how I am doing, and we have a 2nd call planned soon.

Initially, I had some apprehensions about getting my Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) procedure done, as I was unsure about how it would turn out.
