Weird stuff going on here. Look into current and previous management firms that represent them. All disbanded, owned by Brotherton. Look into the Chinese companies registered to their addresses

Rude, Ignorant and Unsafe

Having dealt with them for many years I can safely say they're all talk and no substance. The people who work there as employees are often nice on the phone and promise to get issues sorted out but a few weeks later they'll have a change in office staff.
After so many changes in staffing the issue has to be with the management of the company.

I also think people should be aware that the primary 'customer' of Harper Stone is actually the owners father. The freeholder for a number of properties is a family member. This seems like a massive conflict of interest to me and might be something others want to consider.

Avoid at all costs.

This is one of the most horrendous companies I have ever had to deal with.
Firstly, trying to get hold of them to do anything is like getting blood out of a stone. When anything is done the pricing leaves a LOT to be desired. They inflate prices hugely (there is no doubt there are many kickbacks via their contractors).
The staff are utterly rude and change quicker than a than you could say the words 'your sacked'!
Further, there is a suspicious link where many of the properties are owed by one Freeholder. His son is the manager of Harper Stone. This causes a whole array of further issues and lack of oversight and independence.

'Managing to make money by doing nothing'

These 'managing' agents couldn't manage to organise a drink-up in a brewery. Over the last several years, we have had countless incidents including unauthorised access to our property, removal of items which were then lost/stolen and never fully reimbursed, external works that took over 8 months to complete with one lonely (rude and obnoxious) workman doing the job by himself - including early in the morning on weekends. Whenever there is an issue, large or small - their response/call out time is abysmal. They do bodge jobs and opt for cheap, slow solutions rather than spending time and money on repairs that will last. Their customer service is awful, and they literally do not care about maintaining properties - their only concern is grabbing your money and lining their own pockets. This company is a SCAM. Check their google reviews too and the story in The Argus about their unsafe and illegal safety precautions. If I could give zero stars, I would.

If I could give them 0 stars

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. This is the most unprofessional and incompetent company I have ever come across. I am in disbelief about their appalling conduct. Multiple issues I have had with them, haven't been resolved for months and the company continuously fails to communicate or address. Their actions are in fact illegal, considering they are failing to run serious matters such as Section 20 major works in any professional or LEGAL way. Stay away, if you ever considered working with them. Terrible.

Junk Mail. Update

Junk Mail. Despite returning all the rubbish they post to my address (have been in property for 2 years), they continue. Don't appear to have any environmental awareness.

Update: still receiving junk mail from them: Awful company with no environmental awareness.

Absolute joke of a company

Absolute joke of a company. Staff were nasty, intimidating and didn’t understand the laws around block management, which they consistently breached. Many repairs were needed and they did not even attempt to make one. Barely answer phone calls and you are consistently told someone’s in a meeting and will call you back. Seems like a scam set up to do nothing but take your money. Run for the hills! I wish my freeholders had read their negative google reviews before hiring this joke of a company, they took their money and did absolutely nothing, then blamed them for it! I asked to go through their complaints procedure and low and behold THEN they replied immediately... to swiftly resign. A clever avoidance of any comeuppance. Staff were sarcy, nasty, completely incompetent and attempted to do things that are against the law, exploitative and could have resulted in further issues for my freeholders; tenants, landlords, freeholders and leaseholders everywhere beware!
