Excellent service can not fault

We both hadn’t been to Haskins for years until this year and have now been to Haskins three times in the last few months for purchases from both the bedding section for a new mattress for us , and armchairs and new bedroom furniture for my parents in law .
We have been back for other purchases simply because we were so impressed and have never received any where else such a personal service .
When we purchased our mattress a Hypnos mattress the staff were so knowledgeable on all their mattresses in store and went through all of them and let us try them . We wanted to think about as such a big investment and went back a week later and again the staff were wonderful . We never felt under any pressure . The mattress was delivered perfectly by their wonderful delivery team . We were going to sort our old mattress ourselves but we would not have minded at all being charged to take away as I note the previous review about this . This is standard practice for all shops as businesses simply can not afford to dispose of without charging customers for this additional service as they have to pay as a business for disposal . My parents in law were thrilled with their bedroom furniture and again the staff could not have been more helpful . My mother in law was in a wheelchair and they moved some furniture so she could get closer to look at it . Lastly the fireside chairs they ordered the staff again were so helpful spending time going through all the options with sizes , chair leg and material options . Please look at other reviews on google and feefo for Haskins as they are exemplary and we can not praise enough and will be back . Finally we have never slept so well since our Hypnos mattress has arrived and we regret not investing in a better mattress before . We thought nothing of spending more on a sofa but you are in bed far more hours a day ! Thank you Haskins for a wonderful personalised service you are a credit to retail !

Very disappointing experience

Everything went wrong!! I have spent £1000s over the years but this time Haskins really disappointed from ordering through to delivery - not even the whole delivery!! I ordered a reclining settee as a gift for a family member. Well, we waited and waited and waited then decided to call them and ask when we could expect to receive it, only to be told they'd been waiting for us to give them a date for delivery even though they hadn't informed us it was in their warehouse!! So delivery day arrives 8.30 - 12.30 time scale - dream on - 2.30 eventually it arrives ( without the scatter cushions), everyone was a bit uptight having waited for many hours for this delivery. Sadly as soon as the men had left, a hole was noticed in the vinyl flooring in front of the new settee. No one saw how it occurred but after discussion the manager (Steve Driscoll) offered a paltry £50 or a "repair" - the "repair" has been attempted ( still very apparent). Scatter cushions were offered as a replacement for the missing ones but were dreary compared to the ones ordered - they did offer other ones but as it wasn't up to me to choose I took photographs ro show but they delivered the dreary ones anyway!

Dreadful delivery

Dreadful delivery. Currently waiting 2 months for a nest of tables. Couldn’t care less staff. Will never ever order anything from them again. Need to up their game.

Poor service and little customer care

Despite spending £1,700 on a new Hypnos mattress, Haskins refused to take the old mattress away unless we paid them a further £50 - we're both disabled and have been left to struggle. They forgot to include the mattress protector we had bought and I had to phone them up to get it, and they didn't include the Hypnos instructions or guarantee - essential parts of the purchase - and I shall have to visit the shop again to get this. I won't shop there again.

We purchased Cane furniture for a…

We purchased Cane furniture for a conservatory served by Hazel who was very helpful. Told it could take up to 8 weeks to come but what a nice surprise when it arrived in early. It was delivered in less than 5 weeks. Two polite friendly delivery men came it wasn’t an easy job getting the 3 seater sofa in but they managed it without damage and left us feeling very pleased and satisfied.

Avoid - their delivery service is seriously under resourced and you will wait forever!

Took advantage of a customer invitation advanced sale day. Bought a chair on 9th August 2023. Haskins took my money immediately and in full!
18th October, received phone call. Apparently, Haskins are "a victim of their own success"! Heard that one before? They are unable to handle their deliveries promptly and whilst my chair is sitting in their warehouse, the earliest they can deliver to an address 6 miles from their store is 28th November.
Result - this review and another one time repeat customer who is now unlikely to return!

So my wife visits the store spends…

So my wife visits the store spends money and then visits the coffee shop. Meets a friend and spends 3 hours 14 seconds in the shop. Later she gets a parking fine for the 14 seconds, delayed as it went to our neighbours who were on holiday its over £100. She's pays it, we are then relentlessly hounded by the parking company as they believe payment is still due.
So Haskins, well done you've just lost a loyal customer of over 20 years and hopefully any friends we tell about your diabolical ways of dealing with your customer base. Enjoy the parking fine it's the last money you'll see from us.
