This is my experience with the hayter 48 pro 479A manufactured 2019 when this mower came out i really couldn't wait to buy it being a self employed gardener its really important to equip myself with the best most reliable tools but it wasn't long before my hopes for it was dashed the collection of damp or slightly wet grass is terrible having to stop sooper regularly to clear the clog then not long into owning the machine there was the issue with the plastic chain cover it wears a hole in it the water gets in and caused the drive to fail luckily still under warranty the dealer repaired the machine and replaced the chain cover with one that's reinforced with a metal strip that covers the main wear points now due to the damp grass collection performance this mower is hardly ever used although stored and transported around in my van I quite like stripes that's why I bought this machine so this year I thought I'd put it back to work well that idea was short lived the roller had worn out at the weld points I've replaced the roller with a new one and adjoining parts but for a so called professional mower I'm left highly disappointed now looking to return my custom back to honda

Bought the mower brand new but seemed to have been used by the time it was delivered to me. Had residue of grass in the bag. Not in the packaging. Am not sure if I am not allowed the privilege and pleasure to unpack my own mower I bought with my own money. Disappointed for a product that's so highly rated. Hayter sent our £1000 mower to RVH Pugh at Holmes Chapel who they thought were their agents. Pugh ceased to be their agents/dealers some time ago but Hater were unaware of this. There was no paperwork with the mower so Pugh did not know where it was being delivered. It never occurred to Pugh to call Hayter, they were happy to let the mower sit in their store until I called them asking if they knew anything about it. We experience situations like this on a regular basis, fifth rate British industry, both these companies need their lazy fat fundaments kicking and a management clearout.

I ordered a Toro Hedge Trimmer, Battery and Charger. I received a message from Fedex the Courier to say that they tried to deliver but no one was at home. I was in and no note was left to say that they could not deliver. I reported this to Hayter and then got a message from Fedex which said that I requested a Tracking update, which I did not, so I phoned Hayter and was told that I would have to call Fedex which is a waste of time as you are not able to speak to a human. The Tracking then said that it would be delivered the following day. Later that day I went to my Garden Shed was gone for no more than 5mins and on my return my Hedge Trimmer had been left just inside my open Garage door, so if they were able to just leave it without a Signature why had they not left it earlier. The reason is they never tried to deliver.

Ordered my Mower one day and it arrived the following day. Courier great as he came back after we had been out when he first called. Mower arrived in excellent condition and used the following day and cut the grass perfectly.

The battery and charger were faulty, meaning I had to take it to a dealer. This has delayed me cutting the lawn. Also, the instructions regards setting the cutting height are woeful: no mention of lifting the mower as you depress the button. Very dissatisfied, especially after having paid £499.
