Really informative. Amazing insight as to how gatekeeping by the local council can be challenged for a positive end result!

I had the privilege of attending the Homelessness Law training, led by Mike and Shannon from Homelessness Best Practice . Their expertise and dedication were exceptional. They made complex legal concepts accessible and left me feeling more capable in my role as a family support practitioner. Highly recommend the training thanks to Mike and Shannon's excellent delivery.

I was a little apprehensive about attending a full day online course and the potential for it to be gruelling. It was the total opposite. Mike and Shannon were extremely professional, knowledgeable and clearly knew a great deal about the subject.
It was well paced with the two of them working really well together. We were given the opportunity to work on tasks in small groups which was very useful.
I intend to add the training to our induction programme for new workers.

This training had the potential to be dry and tricky, It was anything but. The trainers made the training material really live, relevant and interesting. I have been in my homelessness support role for 2.5 years and this feels like it has been the missing link to my training. I now feel far more equipped to knowing what their rights are. I find illustrating points with examples really helps me understand this complicated material.

Very impressed. I came to the training more as a concerned citizen than a professional careworker, but I feel like I've had an upgrade! I feel empowered to help deal with people's issues and will be able to challenge councils head on to make sure vulnerable applicants get the service and support they are legally allowed. Thank you Mike and Shannon!

Fantastic presenter of information, knows his subject inside and out, knows how long to keep talking, knows how to keep anecdotes relevant, knows practically everything about how to educate inspire and inform in his field of homelessness law and case work.

Just finished this course, so much we really don't know when it comes to housing law. Everyone working in housing and homelessness needs this knowledge.

As a local news journalist I found the Introduction to Homelessness Law training extremely interesting, and eye opening.

Some of us who work outside of this sector think we know what's what when it comes to homelessness.

After today, I know that I didn't. And sometimes council officers don't either. Which is scary.

After a day on Zoom with Homelessness Best Practice CIC I'm now equipped to better understand council reports on homelessness and I'm better able to spot things that need further investigation.

Really excellent training by Shannon and Mike. Their depth of knowledge is evident from the amount of legislation and caselaw they are able to talk about freely without notes. Their understanding of real world situations is evident from the amount of practical strategies and tips they are able to offer to actually affect change. Really appreciated the physical resources they gave us too. Critical training for our team.

Mike gave some fantastic training on Homeless Law, it was very informative, engaging and tailored to the needs of our service users. I would really recommend if you support anyone who is homeless.

This was one of the best laid out training courses I've done in quite some time. No filler, all killer. All the information given was both relevant and the course leaders (Mark and Shannon) avoided going off on pointless tangents. Thank you, this information is worth its weight in gold!
