I've heard a lot about headspace and it sponsoring certain youtubers etc, so when my work offered a free membership, I signed up. The meditations were all very strange, not particularly relaxing or me... See more

Chrged 2 days early and no refund despite cancelling subscription
I had a note on my calendar to cancel my subscription on 6th August as my original one started on 8th. I went on the app and cancelled but it said i could use the app until August 2025. When i checked, my credit card had been debited 2 days earlier than expected. I have requested a refund but they refused, saying i had not cancelled before renewal date. I again explained that they charged me and renewed 2 days early but they still refuse a refund. It's not like i will be using it or costing them any money if a did. For a company that claims to look after people's mental health, this is absolutely disgraceful.
Absolutely awful customer service
Absolutely awful customer service. No warning that the annual subscription would be taken from your account and, even though I contacted them on the same day asking for it to be refunded, they would not return my money. Very unprincipled organisation.
Absolutely horrendous customer service
Absolutely horrendous customer service. U can't cancel subscriptions from within the app, only thru google play. In my case it doesn't appear on google play so it can't be cancelled. It's driven me insane trying to cancel it. They r charging me 99 a yr and there's nothing I can do about it. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE!
I canceled my subscription
I canceled my subscription. I can't even see it in my subscription list on my phone. The company renewed my subscription, I emailed same day and they refused to refund my money. UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FOR A TWO YEAR SUBSCRIPTION DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THIS COMPANY!
Sub auto-rolled over (unwantedly
Sub auto-rolled over (unwantedly, as my daughter's sub covers me). I contacted them the next day but they declined to refund it.
"Headspace has one mission: to improve the health and happiness of the world." Yeah, right! Considering it's an app promoted for people under mental stress (and often associated financial stress), and that I'm still a customer of theirs that they are not helping at zero cost to themselves, I'd rate them 0 if I could.
Now I'm in a worse Headspace
Unwanted annual subscription kept rolling over. Few business days over the renewal and they won't refund. No reminders or acknowledgements they have taken your money. Now I'm in a worse Headspace.
My daughter recommended this app to me
My daughter recommended this app to me. I tried it and spent less than 10 minutes on it. Now my daughter pays $13/month and I missed the deadline for my trial so they took $70 from my account and they won’t give any of it back. I spent $70 for nothing. They pretend to be a caring company but they are thieves. Stay away from them
They are teaming up with the Obamas so…
They are teaming up with the Obamas so I cancelled. Do I really want a company that pretends to help me sooth my mind teaming up with political operatives? No thanks!
I had a really bad experience
I had a really bad experience with Headspace automatically charging my card without my permission.
I'm sure that I set my subscription to not renew.
When renewal time came around, there was no warning that my subscription would renew. The first sign I saw was a notification from my bank. Within 5 minutes of this I contacted Headspace support to cancel the charge.
However they were very unhelpful and refused to refund the charge saying the cancelation period was over. (Apparently there is no cancelation period).
I absolutely would not purchase Headspace again. Their business practices are unethical for any kind of business, let alone a business that claims to want to help people with their mental health.
Rubbish customer service support...
Rubbish customer service support from Headspace with no telephone number or email address on their website where you can speak or correspond with an actual HUMAN customer service agent. Instead you get a cheap ass and rubbish "virtual assistant" because this so called "wellness" company that flogs mindfulness products doesn't want to hire human employees to deal with its paying customers. That pretty much says it all folks - goodbye Headspace!
Beware of yearly subscription after your free trial ends
Used to be good and moral in ca. 2018. After a long time I came back with the 14 day free trial. I opted to be reminded when my trial ends. 1 month costs about 5 euros, a year ca. 56 euros. Normally companies will begin with a monthly subscription but no, headspace without warning took 56 euros after the 14 days. Shame on you.
The meditations are also all the same mostly. Go somewhere else. Something changed with headspace in those last 6 years.
They illegally charged an old credit…
They illegally charged an old credit card number for a subscription. I have never used their app and they won’t refund my money.
Had paid for the first year and never used the app. Cc was a stolen cc. They still illegally charged the cc and refuse to refund my money. Even though the proof is all there. Stay away from this bad company.
Avoid Avoid
Find anything else to use. You really don't receive much from the app in the first place. I tried to cancel after using the free trial and not liking the service but it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a refund. Don't even waste your time with customer service, all they offered me was a 2 month extension to a service I don't even use. Extremely patronizing. Not worth it.
Beware of the Subscription Scam 14-day free trial
I recently encountered a troubling issue with Headspace. Despite a promised 14-day free trial, I was immediately charged $100 + $3.10 VAT. Attempts to get a refund were futile as both Headspace and Google Play passed the responsibility back and forth.
Additionally, the app's content is extremely disappointing—nothing more than videos you could easily find on YouTube for free. Headspace's rigid refund policy has left me frustrated and out of pocket. Beware: the trial offer isn't as risk-free as it appears, and the content isn't worth the cost.
Scam - Avoid this company.
Like many others, this company charged me despite cancelling my subscription renewal. Seems like they are using the reputation of older headspace content to scam customers (I tried them because I liked their older guided meditation videos). I understand that it is now the norm to have auto-renewal turned on in hopes that users will forget to cancel, but this is the first time I have cancelled in advance and still been charged. If it was just a technical issue, the company should give a refund when immediately contacted about what happened. Customer support will not do anything to try and address this issue or acknowledge the problem. They do also automatically opt you in to selling your personal data, and make the settings around that difficult to find. I would suggest not giving them your personal or payment information under any circumstances.
Impossible to unsubscribe from payments—scam!
Two years in a row we've tried cancelling our family subscription. It wasn't cancelled. As soon as I saw the email telling me they'd charged us AGAIN, we wrote AGAIN and tried to get the money refunded. They claim the auto-renew is now turned off, but it's "against policy" to return the money because we're "outside the renewal window." Headspace is basically a scam at this point. If they take our money again next year, I'll actually get a lawyer to write to them.

They cashed 2 automatic payments via PayPal although I didn't have a paid subscription! I filed a complaint!
I’m disappointed to be honest.
I’m disappointed to be honest.
I searched on ‘FREE’ mindfulness apps and Mindspace and Calm came up as free.
I have just wasted 40 mins of realising that both apps are not free but they push for payment as soon as an account is set!
They are all about the money and nothing else.
Why would I join anything concerning mindfulness if i get stressed about joining.
This apps is total ripoff hiding behind meditation and wellness course
If there’s lower than 1 star I will give 0 star or minus star! This Headspace Apps is total ripoff and a scam! I cancelled my subscription and it’s expired on March 2024, then I removed my credit card info from my iphone, as I read many bad reviews about this apps, but then I added my credit card info in May for purchasing other things, and apparently the apps is tracking you! The moment they saw credit card in iphone the next day they charging me annual subscription without approval and said they cannot refund those even after I wrote email and complained about it. Be ware! This apps is a total ripoff hiding behind meditation and wellness course!
