The entire Healthcare abroad team were incredible from before I flew to Madrid for surgery i was contacted many times by all the different team members & a few days before by siorcha who talked me through my entire surgical plan & all appointments she really eased my fears & worries she is amazing, the day of my departure I was met at Dublin airport by the lovely David who helped me find where I needed to go & reassured me it was all going to be okay , I flew to Madrid & was met by the incredible Javier who drove me to the apartments that had been arranged for me & it was a very short walk to the hospital & everything i could need was very close by ,javier continued to drive me to & from appointments & he was an absolute gentleman , the day before my surgery i attended my appointment at the hospital which was a beautiful hospital & i was met by the lovely tania & amazing Laura who brought the 5 of us women around to every appointment that day advocating for us , Laura also stayed with us all for our consultation with the incredible dr lucas minig , the day of my surgery again Laura was waiting to meet me & never left my side she was in recovery after the surgery & phined my husband to let him know i was out & she stayed until very late that night , Laura & dr minig gave us their direct phone numbers & stayed in constant contact with me throughout the next 11 days & nothing was ever to much trouble to either of them, I felt so supported & really couldn't have asked for more from them , I recieved a last check up a few days before I went home in the hospital & was given the all clear to fly home ,I had spent the last 9 years in constant pain with crippling endometriosis symptoms & nerve pain in my leg ,i was taking 24 tablets a day just to get through my daily life ,I am now pain free & couldn't be happier about my decision to go to have my hysterectomy done with dr minig & the healthcare abroad team they really have given me my life back & im so greatful & thankful to each & every one of the amazing team & hospital

5☆ service from start to finish every thing was perfect a well oiled machine. Only thing I would change is sorting out with the credit union was very last minute for me I felt is should be done sooner

I travelled from Ireland to Benidorm in January 2026 to have spinal surgery. I suffered constant back, leg & neck pain for several years. From the moment I made contact with Chris from HEALTHCARE ABROAD everything was put in place and 4weeks later my Airport pickup, hotel & hospital appointments had been arranged for me by the Exceptional HEALTHCARE ABROAD Team. Special thanks to Scott & Sean who showed both myself & my husband unlimited care and attention.
My surgery was performed by Dr Karim Ben Ghazala and his Team. The care and treatment I received before and after my surgery was Phenomenal.

Every thing about it,the staff and the hospital were amazing,I’d definitely recommend it!

From the time i booked my flights, Healthcare Abroad have been nothing but helpful. When i arrived at the airport a driver picked me up and dropped me to my hotel. The following day i was sent a text about my pre-op appointments in the hospital. I was collected for these in the lobby of my hotel and brought to hospital. Following appointment i was again collected by a driver and dropped back to the hotel. Following my operation if i needed any groceries or medication a driver ensured that they obtained these for me. Driven over and back to the hospital twice a day for 5 days for my physio sessions. These guys go above and beyond the call of duty. Excellect professional service

I had a 2 Level ACF (spinal fusion) surgery. The Care from start to finish was exceptional. I was under the care of Dr Saab and a team of physiotherapists who were fantastic as well as group of very kind a diligent nurses. Outside the Hospital Care were Drivers Joe, Tony, Kevin who were absolutely brilliant and supported all patients with transport to and from appointments and airports. Overall it was a very good experience and i would have no hesitation recommending the service Health Care Abroad Provides. Thank you.

Just had a full hysterectomy a week in Madrid preformed by Dr Lucas Minig. From the minute I met him the day before surgery I felt at ease. He talked me through his surgical plan and even gave me his personal number to keep in touch. Had surgery following day and he came to theatre beforehand to reassure me. He came up to see first thing following morning and has texted and rang to check in. My driver Javier was just absolutely amazing and was telling me all about the area while he was driving around. And lastly Laura, what an absolute angel. I was blubbery mess being away from home but she was always there to give a hug or just have a chat day r night. Anyone who us considering ringing Healthcare Abroad my advice is DO IT. I am finally living a pain free life

I just had Gynecology surgery performed by Dr Lucas Minig in Madrid. My whole experience was very good. The pain relief..nursing care and surgeon follow up was excellent. In particular to mention my liason person Laura who was there for me all along the way. It was a pleasure to meet her. Also Javier..a gentleman ... who drove me to and from the hospital , accommodation and airport. Thank you for making the whole experience so much better.

From first contact to being dropped back to airport after hip replacement. I couldn't have asked for better care by healthcare abroad, the doctors, nurses, surgeons and last but not least the drivers. Nothing was too much trouble just ask and it was done. A big plus was the 8 days of physio that is included in overall costs.The hotel was also very good with plenty of places to eat nearby. I'm hoping to go back end of May/ June for other hip operation. Will
only be going back with Healthcare Abroad. See you all soon. Regards Pat.

Collected from the airport by warm,friendly staff. I met Joe and Suzanne. Brought to the hotel and again met more staff where we were given an itinerary for the following day and what would happen and what we needed ourselves. There was staff on hand to bring us to hospital etc. They could not have been more accommodating. In the hospital I was looked after and was made comfortable after my procedure.
I would certainly recommend anyone thinking of doing this as you're very well looked after.

I had my knee replacement through Healthcare Abroad at Vithas Hospital Valencia, and I honestly could not have had a better experience.

From start to finish, everything was organised seamlessly and professionally, taking all the stress and worry out of travelling abroad for surgery. The hospital itself is outstanding — modern, spotlessly clean, and staffed by highly skilled, compassionate professionals who made me feel safe and cared for at every stage.

A special mention must go to Sergio, the physiotherapist, who was absolutely exceptional. His knowledge, patience, encouragement and expertise made such a difference to my recovery. He motivated me, reassured me, and always took the time to ensure I was progressing confidently and safely.

I also want to thank all the drivers, who were punctual, kind and incredibly helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their friendliness and care made every transfer comfortable and stress-free.

This experience has exceeded all my expectations. I felt supported not just medically, but personally, throughout my journey. I am so grateful to everyone involved and would wholeheartedly recommend Healthcare Abroad and Vithas Valencia to anyone considering a knee replacement or treatment abroad.

It was amazing from my First call to Debbie to the end it was a perfect experience. I was more proud to be a European citizen than an Irish one. The waiting list here is shocking so Spain is the answer to everything. All the team were supportive and welcoming I couldn’t praise them high

My name is Derek and I was waiting on hernia operation at home but was getting bit disillusioned with the hole situation and constant nagging pain withe hernia.So I found out about healthcare abroad online actually so I decided to ring up there before Christmas.Chap called Chris answered who I now know is the main man and he couldn't have been any nicer and explained the whole process to me and he actually got me over to spain 6days later which was fantastic I couldn't believe it I could have operation done within 10 days of making a phonecall to Chris.So from all the different steps I had to make between sending referral letter to sorting out the cost of it there was someone on to me every step of the way I always knew what was happening and when.I just had to book flights is all ,everything else was done by healthcare abroad team .Got collected at airport by one of the teams drivers they gave me his name and where he would be in the airport all easy process.I got driven to hotel in Denia then by Sean a lovely guy we had a nice chat on the trip in.Got booked into hotel then Chris came into hotel that evening and ran through the process for Monday in the hospital,with regards bloods,ecg,X-ray and consultation with surgeon all seamless process I remember saying to myself this is brilliant the team make it so easy for you.And for all the drivers that bring you to the hospital and back ,they would actually bring you wherever you would want to go they were that accommodating and good laugh also.Got operation and everything went well but there was always someone from the team checking in on you which was nice.Cant thank Chris and all his team in healthcare abroad enough I would recommend anybody to use there service and not to be apprehensive they will cover every area for you.Why would you wait on a waiting list over here don't make sense and the team could have you done over in spain within 2weeks.Thanks a million healthcare abroad.

To those of you who are on a long waiting list and in constant pain, make that call straight away to Healthcare Abroad. You will be amazed how quickly you will have a date for surgery.
From your first phonecall you will receive 5 star treatment. All you have to do is book your flights.
Taxis to and from Airport to Hotel, and from Hotel to all your appointments at Hospital are all taken care of from arrival in Valencia to Departure.
Professor Juan Carlos Ferragut will allay any fears you may have regarding you surgery.
Also, all the nurses, Physio, Sergio, Receptionists, cant remember all names (sorry).
Taxi drivers Frankie , John and Adam, will all make sure you are well looked after. Even down to your cup of Barry's Tea.
Cleanliness in Vithas is second to none.
There is a serenity in the hospital from the time you enter. No rushing around and no noise. This adds to you feeling relaxed.

As a footnote; you would be very comfortable and well looked after, to travel out on your own and then have someone come out to you when you are being discharged from hospital.

From the first call to the end, it was an experience for royalty. I had a date almost immediately and was in Delia a month later for my knee replacement. From leaving Cork airport and picked up in Alicante, I was collected, driven by the drivers/carers and they are all fabulous I was transported to the hospital and back to the hotel for all appointments. Dr. Sendro was a very nice man as well the hospital staff and the physios, all outstanding. Thank you all for making me so relaxed for my procedure.
