You need to be helpful to your students. And when they decide they want a refund within the 3 days. You need to give them there money back. Maybe answer sooner so it dony takes forever to get a answer. Oh but I'm sure thats part of the plan to no refund anyone.. and miss Maria that claimed she with look right into things and call the next day.. wow never did hear back from you!!

Absolute scam. They have made multiple (about 5) unauthorized charges on my bank account. I paid a day early in February and they took out more money THE NEXT DAY. As if I didn’t pay literally the day before. I immediately emailed them, got NO RESPONSE. I gave it a few weeks and emailed them again. They then refunded me 1 payment. Then did it AGAIN in March back to back. But this time I didn’t pay a day early. They tried to charge my account 3 TIMES in March. I sent more emails asking why they are charging me multiple times. It’s a monthly payment. There is no reason for them to be charging me multiple times when the first payment goes through. So I asked for a refund and to be unenrolled from the surgical tech program. I get an email saying the subscription has been canceled and I won’t be charged. I wanted all the money I have spent on their “program” and of course I’m told they can’t do a refund. But then guess what. I get an email saying they took money out in April. So I immediately send another email because I’m so angry. Why did they take money out when I got that email that im unsubscribed. After that, they gave me a refund for April and another email saying I am unsubscribed. But tell me why that following Monday I get a voicemail saying “let me know when you can pay your outstanding bill for April.” So I have gone through my bank trying to dispute all charges because this place is an absolute scam. They try to take your money and refuse to give it back. There is no reason for them to try to take out money multiple times. I read the reviews and still did it, do not do it. I really hope I get my money back because this place is terrible.

Such a scam and after reading some of these other comments I’m so glad I’m not alone but we ALL deserve our money back from these horrible scammers who are taking ADVANTAGE of people who WANT to further their education. I was in the surgical technology program and the exact thing had happened to me; when it comes to clinical placement they make continuous broken promises, take a very long time to reply and they even BLOCK ur phone number….. I was in utter shock and disgusted when I learned my phone number had been blocked. Who the hell does that?!? They tell you their going to find you placement but never TRULY find you a place to do ur clinical externship… don’t trust a word these people say, save ur money, and it’s such an atrocious way to operate a company. Needs to be shut down, investigated, and give all the people they wronged and LIED too their money back ASAP.

I just recently graduated high school and needed to find a place that could help me get my fresh start into working into the medical field. This program is very easy to work through, and the people always help you when needed.

I decided to use Health Tech Academy after reading someone else’s review. I have had an amazing experience throughout my time at health HTA. I had a very easy time with the way my course work was assigned. My coach was available anytime I needed her. My coach is Lakesha Palmer. I would also like to mention my career services advisor Alisha Obaid. She helped me navigate in order to find a location to do my clinicals. She was not only able to help find me a spot but also in adding this facility to the list of partners with HTA. My overall experience has been amazing and I would highly recommend HTA to anyone seeking a career in the health care field

I am filing a complaint against Health Tech Academy for deceptive practices, failure to provide promised services, and refusal to issue a refund.
I enrolled in their program using a financing/loan option for $3,588, which has now increased to $4,135 with interest. I stopped payments after the company failed to deliver the services they advertised.
A key requirement for certification through NCCT is completion of an externship prior to taking the certification exam. Health Tech Academy failed to provide this required externship placement. Based on reviews and my own experience, the company stops responding when students reach the externship phase.
When I requested a refund due to their failure to provide externship placement, I was initially told they were "working on it." After continued follow-up, I was then told refunds are not provided for students who used financing/loans. This policy is not clearly disclosed on their website or at the time of enrollment.
Shortly after, the representative blocked me and all communication stopped. I was told to contact the loan company for a refund, even though Health Tech Academy is responsible for delivering the services.
Additionally, another student | personally know is experiencing the same issue-no externship placement and lack of communication.
Health Tech Academy advertises externship placement and career support but is not fulfilling these obligations. This is a clear misrepresentation of services and has caused financial harm.
Resolution Requested:
- Full discharge of the loan balance ($4,135
reduced to $0 through American education services
- Confirmation that I am no longer financially responsible for this debt
- Investigation into Health Tech Academy's business practices

The company's actions show a pattern of misleading students and failing to deliver required program components while still enforcing financial obligations.

The platform will not load the material even though I changed browsers it still doesn't run. And I'm behind on starting the courses.

I'm very disappointed. I paid over $3000 for medical assistant program. I finished and applied for the hands on training... I was never called to start. I kept calling and emailing and NOTHING... I took the test once and didn't pass because I was so frustrated. I forgot how to schedule for another test... if I can still take it. I also asked about the paper for me to file on my tax... NOTHING... wasted my time and money... also I can't find the emails from them.

Slides held very valuable information. Materials, such as study guides and quizzes helped along the way. Very self Explanatory. Easy navigation throughout the program.

I began the Surgical Technology program at the beginning of 2025 and completed the coursework around August–September 2025. It is now March 2026, and I still have not received a clinical placement. Since completing the program, I have repeatedly reached out to the school regarding my clinical assignment. Unfortunately, responses have been very delayed, and I have been given several explanations such as holidays, hospitals being busy, or hospitals already being full with students.

The school informed me that they are affiliated with many hospitals in California and provided me with a list of affiliated facilities. However, when I personally contacted the hospitals on that list, many of them stated that they are not affiliated with the program. I reported this issue to the school, but instead of receiving a clear resolution, I was told to continue reaching out again. Because of these ongoing delays, lack of communication, and the absence of real support from the program, I have requested a refund of my tuition. At this point, I simply want my money back, as the school has not been helping me resolve this issue and it has already cost me an entire year of my education.

It has now been two weeks since I submitted my refund request and I have still not received a response. I would appreciate a prompt update regarding the status of my refund request.

They are scammers, They don’t do anything they promise, They block your calls after you pay your tuition in full.
