Premiums paid on time every month since late 2025. Providers unpaid since March 2026, and we are the ones left holding it. Beware: they will take your money and you will be left with unpaid medical claims.

Every request for help ends with the agency, the plan, and the claims administrator pointing at each other. Nothing has been fixed. They have now stopped responding to our emails and calls entirely.

Find out who actually funds the claims before you buy a plan here. Do not trust them.

I did my homework before signing anything. I checked on who underwrites the plan I was being offered and their financial ratings. Jase answered every question honestly (I verified). The Healthy Insurance Dude holds an A+ BBB rating, the stop-loss carrier holds an A+ AM Best rating (21 years running), and the plan is administered by a publicly traded TPA. Jase gave me straight, documented answers to all of it which is rare in insurance sales. Beyond that, Jase was a genuinely warm person to deal with: courteous, patient, professional, and real, not scripted. I ended up saving over $6,000 a year switching plans, and felt fully informed the whole way through.

Then, after an easy and flawless signup process, I ran into a huge snag trying to cancel my old Covered California marketplace policy. In a panic, I sent an email the Friday afternoon of a holiday weekend to Healthy Insurance Dude’s customer service expecting the resolution to take weeks, if it was to be resolved at all. I had very low expectations. Then one hour after sending that email, Justis Wilson called me personally, looked into the problem immediately and just fixed it all. I didn’t get an automated email, or have a ticket number sitting in a queue. An actual human being called me and took ownership of a very big problem he didn’t cause, and he even fixed it! When does that ever happen in today’s world in ANY industry…especially insurance!? I can’t recommend Healthy Insurance Dude enough (you should ask for Jase specifically). I actually like my health insurance company now. Can’t remember saying that in the last few decades!

They give a shit about the people they work with, and they went to bat for me when I needed it most. THAT’S what makes these guys different.
