Five stars, absolutely!
Five stars, definitely! Heartbeat offers a remarkably complete system, backed by fast, personal support from a team that clearly cares. Their AI, Pulse, has been a genuine co-creator in my work. Regular updates and major improvements keep arriving, and the communications, trainings, and support are all included. For the price, the value is extraordinary. Highly recommended for anyone building community with the intention of achieving great success!
The heartbeat team sweats the small stuff. Try it. :)

Customer Service is A+
Our nonprofit has been using Heartbeat since 2024 after migrating from a much less advanced platform. Overall, we love all the functions and find they work well. One especially important point is the customer service that’s grown and evolved over the years. It’s so easy to get a question answered from Heartie Bot, but if the bot can’t answer, it sends us directly to a real human who is REALLY helpful! Thanks, Heartbeat!

Purchased HeartBeat life plan Tier 2 membership access via AppSumo in 2022, they deleted my access to the dashboard and have not replied my email inquiries. They broke their promises.
Please refund if you do not keep your business promises.

Heartbeat is so easy to create with!
Heartbeat is easy to use, great to build in with both AI support and manually. Their customer support is also highly responsive and always respond quickly. We are able to create the look we want easily.

We've been running Heartbeat for 2 years...
We've been running Heartbeat for about 2 years now after moving away from Facebook groups, and couldn't be happier. I really appreciate all the community events and trainings that Heartbeat continues to put on - you can tell that this is a passionate company that has built a passionate community, which is the real proof that there's something special here.

Fantastic parent community builder
We have been using Heartbeat as a communication platform for our learning community. It has been a fantastic space for parents to connect, learn about opportunities, join events and DM each other. The different groups have worked well and enabled experiences in the workshops to be shared. We are planning to expand this summer and create a membership model too which we are excited about doing.

Amazing community platform
Amazing community platform! It's beautiful and easy to navigate. It has so many options for a personalized experience for every member and Pulse, the AI assistant, can do all of that for you. Would highly recommend!

The BESTEST Community platform for me
We recently moved from Skool to Heartbeat after much research on our use case and we have really really benefitted. First, teh team behind it is awesome and second, the platform is absolutely beautiful and well thought of. For us, events and cohorts was key to get high ticket clients and Heartbeat not only has those features but excels as compares to others. We should have made this move years ago.

Heartbeat is a company that starts with…
Heartbeat is a company that starts with a great product. Then they did something crazy. They listened to their users and gave us what we want. Not once. Every month. They keep us informed. If you have questions, they have answers. It's also feature rich, and yet easy to use (their AI tool setup my last cohort class saving me TONS of time). What a concept. Great product with great service.

Ended up loving it
It was a difficult learning curve at first but I got the hang of it, but when they introduced Pulse (AI Agent), that changed everything and it's been a very valuable tool.
There are some things they are working to improve for community organizers and I'm patient because they have the right idea.

Great platform
Great platform, even greater support. Very transparent – even when things can be improved ... they truly listen to their community. And their AI agent (Pulse) is amazing.

Coach LJ
As a business coach, entrepreneur, and community builder, I’ve explored several community platforms over the years, including Circle and Mighty Networks. After using Heartbeat, I can honestly say I have been impressed with the platform’s simplicity, functionality, and value.
What stood out to me most was how easy it is to set up and manage a community without feeling overwhelmed by complicated features, especially now with their AI called Pulse, helping you build your community. The user experience is clean, intuitive, and designed to help creators focus on building relationships instead of fighting with technology.
I also appreciate that Heartbeat includes features that many competing platforms charge significantly more for. The ability to host courses, create community engagement, facilitate networking, and encourage member participation all in one place makes it a strong option for coaches, consultants, educators, and entrepreneurs.
The platform continues to evolve, and the team appears committed to improving the user experience and listening to customer feedback.
If you’re looking for a community platform that balances affordability, functionality, and ease of use, Heartbeat is definitely worth considering.
I look forward to continuing to build and grow communities on the platform.

I think im being scammed
I think im being scammed, im been contacting this company for a week for a custom domain i can't setup and is impossible to contact.
This is an almost perfect platform with one downside.
This is an almost perfect platform.
I've used Heartbeat for the last 2-3 years to host a community. The "course" element is excellent, much better than similar tools like Teachable or Thrivecart's course add-on. It's easy to publish courses, get homework/assignments from students, etc. If you just need a place to host courses and review student work, Heartbeat is excellent.
The BIG downside to Heartbeat is the forum/community UI/UX ... no subjects/titles on posts, one LONG scroll to find new posts, and no sorting by date. It's basically set up like a chatroom with one single thread (or appears that way to the user), not a true bulletin board or discussion area like Circle or phpBB, with different posts you can pull up in different tabs by clicking on the post subject.
If they could fix this, it would be perfect.
The team behind Heartbeat is great. They have a monthly update presentation that's open to users and the development of the platform has been continuous from what I've seen. There's a good community of people using the platform, so you'll likely be able to get any questions you have answered via their forum if you can work with its limitations (see above).
Overall, I think it's excellent for people selling courses. If you have a heavy community and want a lot of interaction via forum, I would look at other options before committing.
Worthless Support
Worthless support. I signed up for a course and then my access was later pulled. After the administrator gave me access again. Heartbeat support would not allow re-entry and kept telling me I had to keep going back to the administrator. I asked why they did not speak to the administrator directly instead of going back and forth with me, I was told they don't speak to the administrator. So to me, that leaves the person needing support, unable to be helped and screwed over. I paid for the course, but can't get access to what I paid for. Thanks Mafalda for clearing things up. Worthless.
This Platform Wasted My Time, Misled Me, and Took My Money
If you value your time or run a professional business—avoid Heartbeat. I spent over two weeks setting up a private community space for licensed professionals, paid for the platform, and still found out critical features either don’t work as promised or are intentionally buried behind misleading design.
You cannot customize login behavior in any meaningful way. My members are forced to get a new login link every time they want to access the community—even on the paid plan. That alone is a non-starter for any serious business. But it gets worse.
Channels say they’re private, but unless you spend hours digging into hidden menus and triple-checking access groups and onboarding settings, you won’t even know if they’re secure. There’s no clear indication of what non-admin members can actually see. And even once you’ve “locked” them, the entire structure still looks like it’s public-facing, creating confusion for both you and your members.
Their UI is a mess—poorly labeled, error-prone (you can’t even use an ampersand without the platform breaking), and nowhere near intuitive. What should’ve been a simple setup turned into days of backtracking and tech support-level guesswork. Add to that misleading login UX, rigid templates, and zero onboarding support—and it becomes obvious this platform was not designed for real-world professionals. It was designed to look like a community tool, but not function like one at scale.
In writing what LOOKED LIKE a third party review, I was into 5 pages plus screenshots of my review when I realized they don't want a review. That's why you see a lack of reporting about this time and money waste. DON'T BUY THIS APP.
If you’re a coach or creator who loves wasting your time and enjoys friction and confusion, maybe this will be fine. But if you are running an actual organization that needs clean onboarding, reliable access control, and member trust—this is not the platform.
At this point, I don't know if this is an actual platform or an email collection account.
I wasted time. I wasted money.
I completed my course on Certified Nursing Assistant but did not receive my certificate. I am still waiting for it.
I completed my paid training course but did not receive my certificate, neither did anyone respond to me when I reach out to Heartbeat. I still want my certificate.
