Wakey wakey!

Enfield:BMW booked in for a short service & MOT.Car left on opening at 8am.Despite 3 calls at 12pm ,1pm & 3pm no callback received & all I was told was that they were a "bit busy"! Finally collected car at 340pm when reception area was totally empty. Not a word of apology.

If I could give zero stars I would. AVOID AVOID AVOID

If I could give zero stars I would.
My car went in for a routine EGR valve recall. When I got it back it was juddering and driving poorly, they took the car back twice and claimed no issues. I ended up taking the car to a private mechanic and they found the breather piper had been torn and taped up very badly. This is a pipe that is moved to get to the EGR valve and common for splitting, the pipe costs £15 and 2 minutes to replace, they also split another wire by crushing it with the engine bay cover. When I emailed them with all the details I was ignored.
I would AVOID at all costs.

I just had a crankshaft pulley replaced…

I just had a crankshaft pulley replaced by DARTFORD branch. An hour down the road my car over heated and steam was pouring out of the bonnet. I called them and was told that they found a damaged water pipe that needed replacing which was right in front of where the original repair was being done. They left us at the side of the road with no help. No phone call to tell me that this needed replacing immediately. They sent me a photo by email of a pipe that i dont believe was from my car after I picked my car up. My car is a disability car that I use for me and my mum. I'm also adhd and this has all left me really depressed. I've never been treated so badly in my life. I feel sick. We both have hospital appointments this week but have no car to get there. I'm going to the local papers about this appalling treatment by hedin DARTFORD. No manager would call me back they said they were both busy numerous times. My name is Mr Turner I will never use this terrible, terrible garage again. My health is suffering alot because of all this. Please, please don't take your car here. They lie to you and treat you really, really badly. Just an update so my car was taken in by a really trustworthy, professional garage called inline automotive solutions which replaced the radiator that DARTFORD Mercedes broke and refused to pay for. Very high standard of work problem fixed but I'm out of pocket for over £1000. Thanks mercedes.

Terrible service – Hedin is damaging the Mercedes-Benz brand

Absolutely disgraceful experience. Hedin Automotive provides shockingly poor customer service that completely tarnishes the image of Mercedes-Benz. This company is a stain on the brand's reputation.

On top of that, the way they treat their employees is appalling – extremely low wages, no motivation, and a toxic environment where staff are constantly leaving. It’s no surprise they have such high turnover when the company clearly doesn’t care about the people working for them.

Avoid this place – both as a customer and as a potential employee.

I purchased a pre-approved Mercedes GLB…

I purchased a pre-approved Mercedes GLB from Hedin Automotive just three months ago, and unfortunately, my experience with their after-sales service has been disappointing.

A simple tyre replacement has turned into a prolonged inconvenience—three days and counting, and I still don’t have my car back. What’s most frustrating isn’t just the delay, but the lack of communication, absence of basic courtesies, and the casual approach of the Customer Services team at the workshop.

For a brand like Mercedes, one expects a higher standard of service, particularly when it comes to customer care and transparency. Sadly, that standard was not met in this instance.

Criminal service department

Very poor customer service. I brought my Mercedes EQC electric car with a battery malfunction. The car is about 4 years old, but has an 8 years manufacturer's warranty.
Because they knew i will get my battery fixed for free as a result of the warranty, the said the car has a motor problem. I asked to speak with the engineer to explain to me how a battery malfunction suddenly turned into a motor problem. The lady in charge won't let me speak to him.
Long story short, they ended up charging me over £6000 .
I'm now indebted to bumper.
Never again. I would advise everyone to seek for an independent diagnostic, buy the parts from them and look for a competent mechanic.
That was criminal.

Poor customer service

Dartford - Terrible customer service. Waited over half an hour for someone to come out and hand my car back to me after service was complete. When speaking to front desk they refused to help because they were ‘sales’.
Ad blue only topped up to just above half when it’s included in the service.
They cleaned the car but left lots of dirty hand prints on the internal door handles, which were not there before.
The after sales and service dept is completely different to sales, which I really enjoyed when buying the car.

Never again after disappointing…

Never again after disappointing service.

I had an appalling experience with this service centre. I am fully convinced that they are NOT worth the money you pay for and must be avoided at all costs.

They took more than 5 hours for a service A which essentially is just changing the oil and some fluids if lucky/decent centre. They probably do this to justify the cost of £400+. Previously they used to do a full inspection report and video also and someone would go through the paperwork at the end of the service. This time around someone just gave me keys and said your car is outside, when I checked the levels of oil, windscreen wash, adblue, coolant etc all seemed the same as prior to going into service. Makes me wonder if they really did anything to it or just kept the car in for 5 hours.

I suspect they only get business because people go to get the stamp from an "approved service centre" as opposed to going there because of the quality of service.

I had to chase for paperwork with emails being ignored and then called in. Shocking!

Honestly it's a complete waste of money, you will get a better service locally from garage you've known for many years.

Avoid at all costs.

Disappointing diagnostics

Disappointing diagnostics!

Booked my GLA in for an investigation as there was an error message on the dash board. They originally stated there was nothing wrong, all of a sudden there are fault codes and delays in repairing the vehicle. Disappointment is an understatement!

Unreliable vehicle diagnostic waste of money

Unreliable vehicle diagnostic with incorrect verdict which didn't resolve the problem. Also the car had been kept for more than 24 hours despite the pre-booked appointment in advance. No repairs only to diagnose the problems. In results had to take unpaid day off work plus 239 to pay for the diagnostic which is not resolved the issues. Still need to investigate further....

Refused to buy back faulty for what I paid for it

Hedin Mercedes Croydon sold me faulty, MOT failing car and refused to buy the car back for what I paid for it resulting in me losing £3250.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.

I purchased a Mercedes A Class in October 2023, the car was freshly MOT'd and delivered to me with a slash in the rear tyre as well as cracked windscreen. On the second day of owning the car I broke down with my partner on a trip and had to wait for Mercedes road side assistance to come out. The reason for the breakdown? Filthy air filter, leaves, muck, despite the car also being delivered to me with a fresh service. Over the next two months, Mercedes Croydon, took the car back to rectify the issues and replace the tyre. They replaced the opposite tyre to the one that was cracked. The next week, the car developed a coolant fault, I was then told to take this to my local dealer, where I could find out it if it was covered under warranty, If not, I would be charged £200 just for the diagnosis. Eventually Mercedes Croydon agreed to 'Buy' the car back off of me for £3250 less than what I paid for it. I owned the car for 3 months and drove the car for a week without fault in total. They did say they would rectify the issues I was having, but I no longer trust them or the car.

As I sit here writing this, I have not actually received payment for the car which they collected 3 days ago. I am told it is not company policy to pay out for the car until they have the V5 in hand and payment processing team could take a further 5 days for me to receive the money. If you value your time, or money, go elsewhere. I have dealt with Fardeen and Glenn at Mercedes Croydon.

Major faux par by Mercedes with Hedin Auto

Since taking over the Weybridge Mercedes World Dealership (assume they have others to dealerships too?) , I have to say the level of service at a showcase “Branch” has been nothing but shocking.

Quality of sales follow up is poor, with what seem to be little or no interest in selling vehicles, limited flexibility in what they can do with our referring up all perhaps linked to the new agency model approach? (another royal pain in the ****), although this is imposed by Mercedes themselves; am certainly thinking about other manufacturers now because of this alone.

Having had the current two cars in for service and then also an MOT, jobs were missed, requiring a return of the vehicle to complete the work, despite asking for items to be done at the first attempt.

The “issuing” of the MOT certificate was nothing more than a photo of the document emailed, not even an electronic copy, which I have now had to ask for, for both vehicles.

Hedin really need to up their game, just to get back to previous levels of Mercedes service, let alone exceed it!
