I used Hek Jones for my recent property purchase (Leasehold), with Natalie Flint acting as my conveyancing solicitor. At the outset I asked if they would be able to complete the conveyancing within 7 weeks before the 1st April stamp duty increase deadline, and so avoid having to pay the higher stamp duty rate. Understandably they could not guarantee to achieve the deadline as there are many aspects outside their control (e.g. reliance on third-party information and responses) but they undertook to do their best. As it turned out, the sale completed in just over 6 weeks. Natalie Flint was diligent, responsive and provided clear explanations and advice on all related matters, and made every effort to expedite the process. I can highly recommend her and Hek Jones for conveyancing work.

Not even the director and the person you go to when you have a complaint knows what they are doing. Completely incompetent and will do anything in their power to prolong the journey and make your life a living hell!!! 9 months in and still no end in sight because not even the director can deal with matters effectively. Strongly recommend that you stay away from these solicitors whether that be using them directly or third party. Never experienced anything like it.

Laura Flook who was my solicitor was absolutely great throughout the process, she kept in contact with me every step of the way and answered every question that I had asked. Laura always kept in contact with the other solicitors for updates and ensured that we had a completion date within our time frame. I would highly recommend and happily use Hek Jones and Laura again.

I recently used Hek Jones Solicitors in Cardiff for the sale of my house. It was not an easy transaction as the chain kept collapsing. Jade my Solicitor kept in contact every step of the way and always chased the other side for updates etc. I was happy with the price and everyone there was lovely. Would highly recommend.

I highly recommend that you find a difference firm because this has the been the most incompetent firm Ive worked with. But if decide to use them and If you are assigned Jason Strange, then you must request someone else. He took 6 months to finish a chain free deal. Didn't even process my queries. Would take about a week to respond to emails, Ignored phone back requests. He added loads of extra charges to my invoice without informing me. After taking the funds from me, he didnt pay the relevant parties, so I was being chased for late payments after I thought the purchase was complete. Terrible experience.

Our solicitor Alexandra Jenkins was exceptional during the selling of our holiday lodge and the buying and selling of our old and new home. Each of these transactions faced difficulties but never once was Alexandra anything but extremely professional. Her communications during each engagement went above and beyond making sure we always knew where we were in the process. I would highly recommend Hek Jones Solicitors and in particular Alexandra. We really can’t thank you enough.

Very poor, I never experienced anything quite like that. It seems like they are not in charge of anything, blaming the system (oh, it is computer that has generated this....), which reminds me Little Britain's 'computer says NO' scene. I believe solicitors must take charge, be able to mend paperwork, get paperwork done and ready without saying: ' sorry that's system generated a mistake I can not do anything'. Shameful. It does not feel like I am dealing with solicitors. It feels like I am dealing with someone who has no clue, does not care about the customer. Avoid at all costs.
