Not one delivery has been put in the correct storage place. Not one delivery person rings the doorbell to deliver properly. Every week the parcel stabds outside somewhere, I have to search the premises and often it is rained upon. Just a hastle every week! And no help from HelloFresh or the carrier company.

Worth a try, somehow no fit for us
We always wanted to try HelloFresh and decided to do so based on the Miles & More new customer offer, and liked our first impression. The only downside at first was that a lot of unnecessary plastic packaging was used for ingredients, which could have been packed more sustainably. Unfortunately, in the course of subsequent orders, we started to struggle big time with the transparency of the rebates and offers, and the support couldn't help much. We are still not informed which requirements we need to fulfill for the bonus Miles (what was the actual reason to get a customer), and also we got advertised to refer to a friend, and we would really like to do so with our parents, but also this was not working, and we stopped trying after several attempts, being left very frustrated (support could not help). So in total, the effort you save around the meals you spend on the strange system, which unfortunately feels unnecessarily heavy.
Update 12.02.2026: Back to the customer support chat: "case is escalated, you will hear back from our manager".
Update 17.02.2026: "Thank you for your patience while I consulted with our specialist department regarding your Miles & More miles.
I have received feedback from our team: As Miles & More is an external partner, we unfortunately have no access to their platform or their mileage credit system. Our hands are tied in this regard, as we cannot manually book miles into their system from our side.
Therefore, I would like to ask you to contact the Miles & More customer service directly to clarify why the link or the credit did not work in your case.
Since several things unfortunately went wrong during your start with us, including the issues with your parents' subscription and the "Refer a Friend" voucher, I would like to offer you a gesture of goodwill. I have just credited €30 to your HelloFresh account. This amount will be automatically deducted from your next delivery.

The recipes are varied, fun to cook and the portions are just right. In other words I avoid waste and therefore actually save money! Delivery is top and the website helps you order. The system of saving discount is well thought out. But above all it all tastes great!

Endless variety — 6 months in and still no repeats!
I’ve been using HelloFresh 3–4 times a week for the past six months, and I still haven’t cooked the same meal twice — not because the recipes aren’t worth repeating, but because the selection is unbelievably huge. The concept is not worthwhile
Ingredients are often missing or completely spoiled, which I usually only notice when I want to cook. Then I get a small refund, which is probably the price of the product, but I'm standing in the kitchen and want to cook, my family is hungry, and then I have to get in the car, drive to the supermarket, which costs me a lot of time and, of course, more money for the product. This is very annoying, it defeats the whole purpose, I might as well go shopping myself. The refund for missing products needs to be higher.

Allerdings bedauern wir, dass die Portionsgrößen für Euch etwas zu knapp bemessen waren. Unsere Gerichte werden eigentlich auf Basis durchschnittlicher Nährwerte so kalkuliert, dass sie gut sättigen, aber wir verstehen natürlich, dass der Hunger individuell sehr unterschiedlich sein kann. Dass Ihr nicht ganz satt geworden seid, tut uns leid.
Auch Deinen Hinweis zum Preis nehmen wir ernst. Wir versuchen stets, ein faires Verhältnis zwischen der Qualität der frischen Zutaten, der Bequemlichkeit der Lieferung und dem Preis zu finden. Es ist schade, dass dies für Euer Budget aktuell etwas zu hoch angesetzt war.
Solltest Du bei bestimmten Gerichten das Gefühl gehabt haben, dass Zutaten fehlten oder die Menge deutlich unter dem Standard lag, melde Dich gerne noch einmal kurz bei unserem Kundenservice. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn wir Euch vielleicht in Zukunft doch noch einmal von uns überzeugen dürfen.

Honestly so grateful for this service.
HelloFresh has absolutely changed my life for the better. Planning my meals and cooking felt incredibly overwhelming to me at times (ADHD says Hi...), and honestly I thought HelloFresh wouldn't help much initially, because I still have to do the preparation myself after all. However, the mental load that not having to plan and shop for healthy meals has taken off my plate (heh) is absolutely incredible.
I eat sooooo much healthier now, and I love most of the meals. It's awesome to try new things too. Sure, it's more pricey than buying at the store, and I don't love the trash it produces, but it's honestly worth it for me.
One thing I really would love is if they tried to push a bit more for plant-based meals and especially sides / desserts - there's like nothing!! Even though especially baked goods are sooooo easy to veganize (which helps people with allergies too.:) )
Sometimes there are issues with ingredients like something's missing or maybe gone off, but it's really easy to report an issue and get a refund for that ingredient.

Meat box despite “no meat” signup. No refund.
I signed up and selected that I do not eat meat. My first box was still scheduled with meat and was already paid. This looks like an onboarding or preference setup failure.
When I contacted support, the chat disconnected quickly and the interface made it hard to follow the conversation.
Support only pointed to the cutoff date and refused any reimbursement or credit, even though the box did not match the preference I chose at signup. I canceled my subscription.

vielen Dank für Dein Feedback. Es tut mir sehr leid, dass Dein Start bei HelloFresh so frustrierend verlaufen ist. Es ist absolut verständlich, dass Du enttäuscht bist, wenn Du bei der Anmeldung explizit fleischlose Gerichte wählst und dann trotzdem eine Box mit Fleisch eingeplant und berechnet wird. Das klingt nach einem Fehler im Anmeldeprozess, und ich kann vollkommen nachvollziehen, dass Du Dein Abo daraufhin gekündigt hast.
Es ist zudem sehr bedauerlich, dass die Kommunikation mit dem Kundenservice so schwierig war – ein Chat sollte helfen und nicht durch technische Probleme oder mangelnde Kulanz zusätzlich frustrieren. Auch wenn es strikte Bestellfristen (Cut-off-Dates) gibt, sollte ein Fehler, der bereits bei der Registrierung passiert ist, seitens des Unternehmens kulanter gehandhabt werden.
Ich rate Dir dringend, Dich noch einmal schriftlich an unseren Kundenservice zu wenden. Da die gelieferte Box nicht den von Dir bei der Anmeldung gewählten Präferenzen entsprach, möchten wir diesen Fall gerne noch einmal prüfen, um Dir eine faire Lösung oder eine Gutschrift anzubieten, auch wenn Dein Abo bereits beendet ist.
