Great experience, just one problem

I love the recipes and the delivery is done well. I wish that you could choose to either substitute ingredients (e.g. carrots, in lieu of green beans) or you could opt out of certain ingredients. We end up throwing out certain ingredients that we just don't like or are allergic to, and it is wasteful. I also wish you could tell if the chicken was raised outside. Other than those two complaints, we are quite satisfied with the food and the variety of recipes.

A lot of vegetables in packages

I love it how much vegetables are always included in the packages. The recipes are very easy to follow. The delivery is always timely. I also like how the recipes are grouped on the website by how long it takes to prepare. What I would ask you to improve is to add bio options for animal derived products like eggs and meat. I would be willing to pay more for this option. Also, we don't often order meat recipes but 2 times when we did meat was not of good quality. Chicken with a lot of fat and once we neede to throw it away because it smelled badly even though the product was still within due date. Otherwise the servise is of huge help to our family! Thank you.

Overall Experience Summary

Package is good organized. Unfortunately all is in French and no English translation available also on the website. Some of my items was having limited "expiry date" so in stead of eating a steake on Sunday I had to make Bao Buns :) Not a big deal but if you want to make Sunday dinner "nicer" all items should have the validity for the entire week. Beside tat I like the recipes options. I have ordered 3 boxes so far - lets see how prices will looks like after that time. If competitive I will stay - otherwise will look for something else.

Today (14 Nov @ 15h15 in 8233 Mamer) I had a person from Hellofresh-Luxembourg ringing at my private door. My door bell says very clearly "no advertisement, please". I opened the door, a sales representative of Hello-Fresh complained that she had already rang my door bell twice - and that my dogs scared her ..., I asked what she wanted and had she not seen the "no-advertisement". No she said, it was not clear. I asked where did you NOT see it? She startet to insult me, that we were not nice and that the law in Luxembourg allowed her to ring the bell ... this started off from a bad foot! I do believe that hello-fresh should train their people to be respectful and stay away with a no-advertisement sign. We are good people, we work 14-16 hour a day, we donot like this kind of haressment AND we will certainly NOT buy in these circumstances

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

The last box did not have what I had chosen. But most importantly there is NO WAY to reach out to someone. I did the chat thing and did not have an answer!!! Ever!
I wish to cancel my membership. How can I do this please?

Client service alarm

In terms of menu:some elements are always missing from the recipes.

In terms of client service: your app is not 100% synchronised with the website. I’ve put a pause 6-22 September and the system didn’t no reflected it correctly. Therefore, backages during that time were delivered, waisted and my account charged. Could you please resolve this and let me know please?
I was trying to reach out to your client service but none of them speaks English (how is it possible do not have English service in a country full of expats?)
Therefore, client experience was awful

best recipes ever

really fresh products; clear recipes; great volumes; absolutely tasty!!! Even for someone who cooks since over 40 years : learn something new, astonishing good !!! You can add a spice - or leave one... just 'a gusto' and still it's better than in most Restaurants!

Very good experience

Very good experience, I like the concept.
One important thing that need to be improved: the quality of some vegetables (I receive red tomatoes that does not even have the red color, in this case it would be better to not deliver it and tell the customer that he has to find tomatoes by its own.
Stop almost all recipe with juice broth, this is the most unhealthy ingredient.

Order canceled without notice. Rude call center employee

Subscribed and waited the whole Saturday for the first food delivery. While HelloFresh app was showing “delivery underway”, the indicated timeframe (9am to 4pm) was over and no delivery received. The call centre was extremely aggressive telling us that it was our fault and order had been canceled for no payment (however the card preautorization is visible on the account, funds sufficient, “delivery underway” on the app, no message or notification about the so-called failed payment; just wondering- maybe the problem was caused because they asked for card details showing one price and only afterwards asking for recipe options resulting in a higher amount? How come all other apps from various countries handle this without problems?). No attempt to find a solution just very rude replies, fully blaming the customer). Would not trust such company for weekly food deliveries.

Delivery is almost never left at the…

Delivery is almost never left at the location given in my account. Today it was left in rain.
If you try to complain you find out there is no more email, only a chat. In the app they ask you for your identity (email) while you are logged in to the app. So it's actually a step backward from the previous email contact.
Then they tell you that is the procedure and close the chat without helping.
If they are so great at procedures maybe they should put up one for the delivery guys making them read the delivery instructions.
Of course any complaints are never followed up. Apparently forwarded to some department, never to be heard from again.

Beware of the aggressive and lying…

Beware of the aggressive and lying sales people.
Emphasis on local quality food from farmers. This is just pure bulloshit. I was told app and Website have multiple languages, only French so straight up lie.
I should have received an email before the first order to choose but never came, so a box with some random stuff arrived. I needed to contact customer support and took couple of days until I got a English speaking person on the line.
In relation to the food and boxes. The food is overpriced and there is a lot of packing, so not environmentally friendly. With the order comes a link to a video, does not work in Luxembourg as always directed to the Belgian site.
The recipes are fine and this is convenient option but the various points listed about will result in me canceling the service. It is the minimum to offer other languages in the App/Web as easiest thing if you don't have a lazy French IT team.
