Never pre-order

Ordered products and they were never delivered due to the company selling items they didn't have. The stock they did have wasn't set aside, instead they sold all the items. When I wanted to get a refund (4 months) they wanted to charge a restock fee for items they never had. Order carefully as you will not receive ANY items until they can all be shipped at once. Meaning if you order 10 items and 1 comes out in September, you won't receive any of them until the 1 item is available. When that 1 item is available they might have sold all of the other items on your list. I highly recommend only ordering items that are available. My items would have JUST become available. Happy Father's Day to me!

We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced with your order placed on January 10th, 2023. Following that date, we have no record of additional orders. Regarding Order #2961, it contained four items, some of which were pre-order items. Unfortunately, we do not have control over the estimated arrival times for these pre-order items.

Our policies are designed to ensure the smooth operation of our business. If you place an order containing both in-stock and pre-order items, as outlined in our policies, we hold the in-stock items until all items are available. This process incurs storage costs and temporarily makes the in-stock items unavailable to other customers.

If you choose to cancel an order that includes in-stock items, we do charge a restocking fee as stated in our Refund Policy. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding.

Possible one of the worst online retail…

Possible one of the worst online retail experiences I've ever had. The order was significantly delayed by months due to one preorder item being "release" delayed (not the store's fault), but the options I was given to receive the instock items was to pay more shipping charges on top of my initial order payment, or make more order payments. I was not allowed to swap out the delayed preorder for a same priced instock item either (the reason being I used a coupon code which prevented any changes to the order, which seems inflexible). A representative below is offering to add screenshots to prove a point about the coupon code and the alternative offers given (which I agree were made) but they all involved making some kind of additional shipping payment, or another order with an additional shipping charge or a further significant order over a certain threshold amount (which I could not find items I wanted to this achieve this amount) - I did not feel it was right that I should pay any additional charges (or make orders) ontop of my original order which passed this threshold amount, as the delayment of one item was outside my control - so I said I would continue to wait after exhausting all possible "non-further payment" options, which I too can provide screenshots of. Furthermore I got multiple incorrect statements saying only one item was being waited on but it was in fact 2 it turned out, during the months I was waiting, which while not being material to the end result did add to the frustration . Upon delivery the shipment was missing 1 of the 4 items (*Corrected from 3 of 4 - Typo) in the order, which was also a preorder item . Customer services Kaushal would not respond to this error, and I had to go thru the Shop app customer service to get a response… after a week I eventually had to say I was going to open a case with SHOP and report my experience in the FB toy collector groups in Canada that I was a member of. I then received a refund for the missing item, but Kaushal email was written in All Caps (communicating some kind of annoyance attitude) along with no apology for the poor service. If the owner of Heretoserveyou is not Kaushal then I strongly recommend you look into the customer service department as I will never order from the store again and will still be reporting this bad experience in the FB groups mentioned. I hope this info helps to improve this business for other customers. Thank you

Regarding the use of all caps in your email response, I want to clarify that it was not intentional. After checking with our customer service department, it appears to have been an error, and I apologize for any confusion or misunderstanding it may have caused.

Additionally, I have reviewed our records, and it appears that you received 3 out of the 4 items in your order, and refunded for one missing item. But you have mentioned 3 out 4 was missing. I can understand, mistakes happen but please correct it whenever you get chance. Regarding swapping an item it seems you had a coupon code used in your order which is why our customer support was unable to edit the order and instead we offered you two option to pay shipping for In-Stock items to be shipped out or place another order. We are unable to attach the screenshots here otherwise we would have for your reference.

Quick to ship

Quick to ship but it’s difficult to get past the free shipping threshold - their support team let me know some items can’t be combined since they ship from different warehouses.

That’s okay the shipping was fast and the figure was great. I would order again.

I don't fully trust them anymore

I'm a patient and understanding collector, but I keep being disappointed by this online toy seller and I'm tired of giving them the benefit of the doubt. The latest has been having my last 4 messages to them ignored, 2 by e-mail and 2 through their website. Before you wonder, their "answers" were not in my spam folder and I left at least 24 hours between each message. It was regarding them mixing up my 2 last orders and getting a refund for a figure. A refund I was promised I would get "shortly"... more than 3 weeks ago. Refund because an Aquaman figure that was supposed to be in stock, even at least a week or two after my order, turned out to be "sold out" about a month later when the associated pre-order figure arrived to complete that order.

I've also had the following problems:
1) Shipping for supposedly in-stock figures taking much longer than anticipated to the point I had to e-mail them to know what was happening. Sometimes more than two weeks, one time more than a month.
2) Learning through their newsletter one of my pre-order figures became supposedly in stock, waiting for weeks for it to ship with other figures from that order, writing to them, and learning in fact it was sold out. So it seems the item was in stock and for sale before all pre-orders were fulfilled.
3) An extra $20 plus taxes in shipping asked for a Batmobile that was supposed to have free shipping because the box was too big. Their shipping policy had not changed for additional charges if the item is "larger than normal size" at that point.
4) I get their newsletter notification that a very in-demand Wonder Woman figure was arriving next week. I order from them to encourage their smaller indie store, I cancel my long-standing order from Amazon. The day after, Heretoserveyou cancels my order and I'm stuck with no Wonder Woman.
5) No guarantee your order will be shipped in a box or securely packed unless you pay extra for "collector's packaging". From my experience, it was in boxes with minimal or no protection. A few items arrived with their packaging slightly damaged.

I'm still waiting for a pre-order figure from the first mixed-up order, Parallax, which should have shipped in two weeks according to the website back around April 22. As I write this it's been almost two weeks, if not more, and I'm not sure I'll ever get it considering they're obviously ignoring my messages. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because despite the problems, I did receive most items from them in the past. I might edit this review based on future developments.

EDIT ON MAY 14: On my fifth message, with no replies to the last four, and after posting my review, I finally got an answer and my issues were resolved. The refund is supposed to finally go through, and I received Parallax today. I will now reply to certain points from the store's own reply.
1) Dark Phoenix from order #1905 was more than a month, but mostly this complaint was about those "in-stock" figures not being shipped for 2 weeks and me having to contact you.
2) Dark Phoenix from order #1905 (although I did get her eventually) and Dirge from #2622. I could add the confusion with Riddler and Deathstroke from order 2467. Deathstroke was in stock when I had ordered, the preorder Riddler wasn't. Riddler became in stock, waited 3 weeks for shipping, then was told it was Deathstroke out of stock. After replying, I was then told it was a mistake and Deathstroke was in stock.
3) As I wrote, when I initially ordered and later, when you sent me that notice for the extra charge, that policy was not yet changed on your site. It's even me who had to point it out.
4) I understand distributors can be unreliable, but you should not have said in your newsletter that figure was here, now available and arriving next week.

We are extremely sorry for any delay in responding back to your emails or getting the refund initiated.

I have personally checked all your conversations and it seems the refund was asked and it was already initiated but due to some reason it did not went through, after your recent email we have manually processed the refund and now it has been processed from our end.

1. I have checked all 12 orders till today and I have not found single order being delayed for a month (Unless you have Pre-Order items mixed up with In-Stock items). If we are missing something please let us know what orders were delayed.

2. Please provide more information on what items was sold out and you came to know after contacting us and if it was not shipped to you.

3. We have Policy's in place to run this business. We have mentioned clearly in our shipping policy that if the item is larger than normal size Toy Heretoserveyou have full authority to ask for additional payment.

4. Yes, we did get the news from our distributor and we did place the order for Wonder Woman Figure but our distributor then cancelled the order due to their own policy. We are totally out of control on what items we receive and how many. We are totally on the mercy of our Distributors/Manufactirers.

5. We do have the option to choose the Collector's Packaging for the In-Box Collector's so that other who are not In-Box collector can save on packaging. We do ship in Box if you have choose Collector's Packaging.

I have checked your recent order for Parallax and I was able to see it was delivered today.

We do apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused but sometimes we are out of control on certain situations. We do our best to provide the best service where possible.

Great Prices. Fast Shipping

the prices of the figures are at or below their competition. Customer service got back to me within a few hours and completely addressed my concerns. They have fast shipping, and their international shipping rate can't be beat.

The good

The good: the figure that I purchased was well packed. I requested that they pick the one with the cleanest paint application and the best card condition. They did exactly that and I was satisfied. Shipping was very fast and easy to track.

The bad: I ordered multiples of this item, only to be told prior to shipping that they had to limit it to 1 per customer since “the supplier did not send them enough”. To provide context, my order was a pre-order. Several weeks after I placed the pre-order, I saw a promo email listing this item as being “in-stock”. By then, the seller had increased the price of the figure and continued taking orders. However, a week goes by and my item still hasn’t shipped. I proceed to contact the seller, who explains that they were still fulfilling pre-orders that were made before mine. Another week or two goes by and it still hasn’t been shipped. Finally this is when the seller claims “they did not have enough”. If you didn’t have enough why did you raise the price of the figure and continue taking new orders? It felt like my orders were dropped in order to fulfill the orders that were sold at the higher price.

If the seller has set a quantity limit earlier, this wouldn’t have been an issue at all. I could have ordered more from other retailers. But it was too late by the time they informed me of the lack of supply. It had become sold out at every retailer. For this reason, I do not have faith in placing future pre-orders with this company.

They provided a refund for the two other copies of the same figure that I ordered, but this also meant that I ended up paying for shipping cost equivalent to the cost of a single figure. They didn’t have anything else in stock that I wanted. I’m happy that they satisfied my request as mentioned above but that was the least they could do to make up for overselling. I would’ve been happier if they offered a discount for their mistake or free shipping.

I would urge you to work on your allocation in the future. I understand that sometimes suppliers don’t come through but you need to take responsibility for continuing to take new orders disregarding the possibility of a lack of supply. This was my first purchase with you and a very disappointing experience overall.

My attempt to cancel my order was ignored.

Not long after made this order, I sent a request via email to cancel the order. I sent the email to the only email address I could find in the site infoatheretoserveyou.ca The text of the email is copied and pasted right here, "Hello,
My name is Joshua Knappenberger. I would like to request a cancellation of order #4521 which I made yesterday. I have changed my mind on it. I understand there is a percentage restocking fee. I am ok with paying the restocking fee.

I received no reply email acknowledging my request, but I assumed all was well. I was perturbed and surprised when my order shipped. By the time it arrived today, I was fuming.

From now on, I will stick with BBTS. When they claim to have a cancelation policy, it means something.
