Absolutely gutted I didn't get the original mystery box treatment. Ordered it so long ago I forgot all about it, not once thinking she'd actually have the sheer audacity to post it!! Was forced (not really!) into signing the NDA so I can't go into detail on what was actually in the box but if they ever come back, you'd best believe I'll be stocking up on them.

What a load of WOKE nonsense. Think a NDA can stop me exercising my freedom of speech RIGHTS. I will not be silenced to protect our women and children from….

Mystery box; an absolute waste of time and money. I could have bought all of it in Sainsbury’s myself. I had to wait AGES. Amazon, Temu, Shein really have the right idea. This small, independent business nonsense with handmade artisan cakes - quality takes time blah blah blah. Just take my money and send me my stuff five minutes ago.

Totally forgot I'd ordered a Mystery Box. Went away on holiday and came back and now a week later here it is! Absolutely awful contents - NOT!! They're greaaat 😍Especially like the surprise item! As it's a surprise I shan't mention what it is. More Mystery Boxes FTW

The excitement of possibly being part of a viral scam was ruined when a mystery box appeared on my doorstep, possibly full of toilet roll holders, in time for my birthday.
I enjoyed the not knowing, the anticipation, and the lack of dispatch date and now it’s over. What have I got to look forward to now?
I have squirrelled it away so my children don’t see it and I signed an NDA so cannot tell anybody anything. All I know is that I would do it again, because I am a right knobgoblin

Of all the things to happen, hero bakes had the audacity to try to send me a mystery box when I was on holiday! The cheek of it. After complaining, and sending a holiday pic of a rather fetching castle, it came a week later, and my neighbour took it in fgs! I managed to retrieve it and wish I hadn’t bothered. It was far too light and fluffy and delicious.

Such a disappointing experience- I mean who actually delivers a Mystery Box, it was so awful I had to hide it in my room away from my family to “keep them safe from such a disgrace”. Hated every minute- would 100% go through it again. Hard recommend

Absolutely Shocking! I would never recommend buying any of these products. Not only do they look disgustingly tasty, but they came delivered safe and secure. Absoluteley not what I ordered, in my Mystery Box. Don't fall for it, it's not like you actually want to receive it. Would definitely not recommend not buying.

Ordered a Mystery Box ages ago, it's turned up 1 month and 6 days after the dispatch date I had asked for. I almost thought it probably wasn't happening. Going to use the empty loo rolls to make some binoculars to look out for my next order 👀👀

What on earth!? Why? Why would anyone do this to themselves? [Buys mysterious mystery box, which turns up at random with fabulous surprises inside]. No, it's better just to go without.

Furious, unlike standard mystery boxes this contained absolutely no margarine.

Well, I bought it for the humour as I don't even like cake. She made a funny post and I'm a sucker for a laugh and a small business. Took WEEKS to get to me which isn't bad considering I bought the mystery box know it may never arrive. Thought it would be full of sh*t and it was! A load of delicious, wonderful sh*t which I have scoffed. There was a secret surprise in there which I am under legal agreement not to disclose but let's just say, it's bloody hilarious. Great company, better jokes! Would buy again! Seriously though, fantastic customer service. Exceptional bakes. I cannot recommend Hero Bakes enough and I've really enjoyed this whole experience because it's not just cake it's a whole event which I've been genuinely excited for the whole time. I'm now wondering if they do wedding favours at a huge discount for die hard fans 🤔

Purchased as a social experiment to prove that all mystery boxes should be paid for, not delivered and have to subject the purchaser for a charge back. They then had the cheek to not only send me a mystery box but make some of the contents delicious too. I was once a fan but have now just become disillusioned with the product here and until better poor customer service is returned I won’t be buying another mystery box. The cakes in a tin on the other hand…..

Bought a Mystery Box from a luxury cake maker thinking it was worth the risk. It eventually arrived yesterday after significant delay with ZERO communication (needs to fire her comms people, Chat GPT). The worst part is I've been left so disappointed that I have to buy another one now and go through this all again because the rest of my family are also maschoscists who enjoy delicious treats. FML.

What an amazing experience, the mystery box was a delight, and Reshmi was a delight to deal with from order to delivery, keeping me informed every step of the way, and calming my nerves with kindness and support when I had concerns over deliver date. Would 100% recommend and will be ordering again…… ( ps, she made me write this, or she said she would post me all over the internet. Send help!)

Ordered a Mystery Box off the back of the Terry Drama, and the business owner had the nerve to actually send it!!!! Can you even believe it? I was promised the full Terry charge-back experience and now here I am, sat stuffing my face with irritatingly delicious Hero Bakes, have gained 3lbs, and can't even take her to small claims. FUMING! Shittingly hilarious service, disgustingly good bakes, would definitely not recommend not ordering. You will be thoroughly disappointed!

After over a month of waiting, my mystery box finally arrived. I won’t disclose the contents, partly to preserve the surprise and partly because I’m not sure I can afford a legal battle with a woman whose supporters identify as knobgoblins.

The whole thing is an outrageous amount of effort to go to for a piss take. I’d intended to remain a casual observer, but apparently I’ve now paid to join the knobgoblin tribe.

Absolutely no regard for those of us who enjoy having something to complain about.

What a bloody stupid idea! Got sent one of these shitty mystery boxes for my birthday - without warning! Who thought of that bloody nonsense?!

Even more annoyingly, the cake is stupidly gorgeous and I definitely want more! How annoyed am I?! There goes my diet, straight out the window.

How dare you sabotage me like this?? I was doing perfectly well until you came along with your delicious little box of temptation.

Hero Bakes should be ashamed of themselves. Ordered the mystery box and was disgusted to discover that it actually arrived after an unspecified amount of time after I’d requested it causing some mild anxiety/enjoyment.

Terribly sarcastic and savage customer service throughout. Cannot recommend (enough).

I was hoping for at least ONE disappointing cake so I could feel justified in writing a proper complaint. Nothing. Not even a slightly rubbish one. Just an obnoxious collection of delicious cake.

Completely unacceptable, total pi$$take that I’m having to go back and buy one for a friend now.

Unfortunately, the actual bakes are unbelievable.
