The service is excellent
The service is excellent. You receive quick results that are very informative, with enough context to connect your answers from the main assessment before the test. I took the test to understand my hormones, as I had been experiencing some symptoms regularly and wanted to know if they were related to hormonal imbalance or perimenopause. While the test itself was great, the consultation wasn’t what I expected. To be honest, if you think you might be experiencing perimenopause, I recommend reading books by Stacy Sims for more insights. Nonetheless, I appreciate that I now know my critical hormones, such as thyroid hormones and FSH, are in the normal range.

Amazing service start to finish!
I have had irregular cycle since 12 years old ( I’m 25 now) and I got put on the pill the earliest I could have been, it completely messed up alot for me (hormone wise etc). I had been back and forward to the GP not taken seriously, no diagnosis and told to just ‘come back when I wanted to get pregnant’.
I saw Hertility and decided to give it a try, I can tell you that was the best decision I’ve ever made. From start to finish the service is amazing, the clinical call after I received my results put my mind at ease and I finally felt listened too, I was also recommended some natural ways to help my hormones. The results are also really easy to read, not confusing at all. The test is also very simple to complete at home (on your own, or with someone for moral support).
I finally booked my GP appointment and I finally have been taken seriously/ listened to and am receiving the treatment I have been waiting for a long time.
Thank you so much to Hertility, amazing service start to finish. After a long hard road to understanding my body/ hormones I can now say that I am on the path I used to dream of.
I 100% would recommend Hertility to anyone who does not feel as though they are getting support or answers they need from their GP or even if you just want to read easy/ non Confusing results, also understand your body & hormones more.

A deeply disappointing experience with a company that should know better
I had high hopes for Hertility – the concept, the convenience, the promise of support for women navigating complex health journeys. The blood test itself was straightforward, and the results came back promptly. On the surface, everything seemed professional.
But when I needed compassion the most, I was met with cold rigidity.
Due to unavoidable personal circumstances, I missed my gynaecology appointment. I reached out, sincerely apologetic, expecting at least a conversation or some understanding. Instead, I was met with an unyielding, dismissive response. No second chance. No empathy. No recognition that life, especially for women juggling countless responsibilities, can sometimes get in the way.
It’s deeply ironic – and painful – that a company dedicated to women’s health could be so lacking in basic compassion. In moments like these, we don’t just need clinical efficiency; we need to feel heard, supported, and human.
I wouldn’t recommend Hertility to anyone, especially not to women already navigating stress, uncertainty, or emotional strain. The experience left me feeling more alone than before – and that’s the last thing any woman should feel when seeking care.

Unfortunately, as we were only contacted a few hours after the scheduled time, our ability to make changes was very limited. While we have tried to be flexible in the past, we’ve had to adopt a clear policy aligned with the wider private healthcare industry, which typically enforces a 48-hour cancellation or rescheduling policy.
This isn’t a decision we take lightly. We’ve made this change to protect the sustainability of our services so that we can continue to offer timely, high-quality care to all women who need it. We absolutely understand that personal circumstances can sometimes get in the way, and we’re sorry we weren’t able to offer more flexibility in this instance.

Disappointed with Limited Testing and Rigid Service
I recently used Hertility’s hormone testing service and, unfortunately, found the experience disappointing and underwhelming. Despite advertising the ability to test “up to 10 hormones”, my panel included only four — and just three offered any meaningful insight. This was not made sufficiently clear at the point of purchase.
The test is marketed as bespoke and clinically guided, but in practice, it felt rigid and formulaic. There was no opportunity to adjust or expand the hormone panel based on personal concerns or context, and follow-up support was limited to reiterating internal policy. When I raised concerns, the company refused any refund or substantial remedy, citing their protocols — despite the minimal value the results provided in my case.
While the test may be suitable for some, I would caution others to read the fine print carefully and temper expectations about what you’ll receive, particularly if you’re on hormonal contraception. The clinical model may technically be in line with guidelines, but the real-world value — especially for the price — was simply not there for me.

We offer a bespoke testing service with our at-home Hormone & Fertility test. Our Online Health Assessment (the questionnaire you filled in before purchasing) is our diagnostic tool which assigns you your personalised hormone panel, based on the symptoms and medical history that you tell us about.
We aim to be as transparent with our customers as possible, as our mission is to empower everyone to get the answers they deserve about their own bodies. Our purchase journey is set up purposefully so that this hormone panel would have been shared with you prior to your purchase. This is done so if you do have any questions about the hormones we are testing you for, you can direct them towards our Customer Care team, who would have been happy to support you before purchase if you had any questions regarding your hormone panel.
To maintain our transparency with our customers, we also clearly state on our website that we can test for 'up to 10 hormones', however it is not guaranteed that you will be tested for all 10. We do not test hormones if there is no clinical indication for them to be tested.
We can understand how, without this clinical context, seeing a smaller number of hormones tested would feel disappointing. However, I want to reassure you that your hormone panel was reviewed and approved by our clinical team and was in line with best practice and current clinical guidelines.
Each report undergoes a strict quality control process and is checked twice before being published to ensure accuracy and value. It also includes a note from the doctor, a detailed breakdown of each hormone and its function, commentary on your specific levels, and most importantly, actionable next steps and clinically guided advice tailored to your individual health concerns. Your report will contain these personalised recommendations, which can be found in the ‘Care plan’ section of your report.

Disappointing and Misleading Experience
I decided to try Hertility because I wanted to be proactive and find out if there were any potential fertility issues in advance. The idea of an at-home test seemed convenient and promising, but unfortunately, the reality didn’t live up to the expectation.
The process of taking the blood sample was laborious, painful, and honestly quite stressful. The finger-prick needles weren’t sharp enough, and trying to get that much blood from a fingertip was incredibly difficult. I was left feeling sick and had sore fingers for a week.
The results came back within about 10 days, but I’d strongly recommend taking them with a pinch of salt.
My report flagged a few concerns, but the way the information was presented felt very clinical, with little explanation or guidance for how it related to my personal fertility journey. Rather than feeling empowered, I felt confused and anxious.
Following their recommendations, I ended up spending a significant amount of money on extra tests and advice. Eventually, I decided to repeat the blood work through my GP, and everything came back completely normal, directly contradicting what Hertility had reported.
Overall, this experience felt more like a money-making model than a supportive or accurate health service. I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend. If you're genuinely concerned about your fertility, I’d advise going straight to your GP or a trusted medical professional instead.

Firstly, we are sorry to hear that you found the sample collection process difficult. We are aware that taking the test can be tricky for some customers which is why we have created a number of options to support our customers with their sample collection process. Within every testing kit, we provide a step by step instruction booklet that includes pre-testing recommendations, helpful tips and we encourage customers to reach out to our customer service team if they are having difficulty during the process. Our Customer Care team is available to assist from Monday to Friday 7am-6pm and on Saturdays and Sunday from 8am-4pm with any issues customers may have when taking your sample. We mention in our instruction booklet that if you encounter difficulties after using two lancets, you should contact us for further assistance.
We provide a video guide which supports our customers who prefer visual support. In addition, we encourage the use of our Hertility app which can be downloaded via the QR code provided to you in your test kit, which includes an interactive test companion that gives very clear instructions on each step of the testing process
We also offer personalised 1:1 guidance via video calls, providing tips and tricks to ensure a successful sample collection. We have found these video calls to be very successful in reducing haemolysed samples and currently less than 10% of all of our samples fail when they reach our lab to be tested.
With regards to the results themselves, we would like to reassure you that our lab is UKAS accredited (ISO 15189:2022) for capillary and venous blood sampling and was the first UK lab to attain this level of accreditation. It leads the UK in the capillary testing specialisation having published widely on the subject, it maintains the highest form of internal and external regulations. This means that our testing has to be accurate to uphold these accreditations.
Our hormone & fertility test kits are CE-marked for IVDR use and MHRA registered, we adhere to strict testing policies to uphold our compliance.
The reports are all written by one of our expert gynaecologists, who provide a comprehensive overview of each of your hormone readings, what that hormone is and their commentary on the result itself. The doctor will also create a section within the report which consists of their recommendations and follow up steps that are relevant and actionable to you.
We would also like to highlight that tt is important to be aware that different clinics use different assays, and this may be why your GP clinic and our test results may have differed.
Another note to bear in mind is that hormone levels are constantly fluctuating, and many influencing factors will have a direct impact on the reading (time that sample is taken, stress levels, day of cycle, to mention a few!)

Not even remotely worth the cost
They don't tell you what they are going to test for before you buy the test. Two of the three hormones they tested me for were Thyroid related and I had already had them checked twice by my GP within the previous few months.
My kit was still £249 - so for one new test it was a total waste of money. I don't know anything that I didn't already know - and if you want to chat through your results with someone then you have to pay more.
They should either tell you implicitly what they are going to test BEFORE you buy - or at least check what you have already had tested?
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, and I won't be using of their additional cost follow up services.

We offer a bespoke testing service with our at-home Hormone & Fertility test. Our Online Health Assessment (the questionnaire you filled in before purchasing) is our diagnostic tool which assigns you your personalised hormone panel, based on the symptoms and medical history that you tell us about.
We aim to be as transparent with our customers as possible, as our mission is to empower everyone to get the answers they deserve about their own bodies. Our purchase journey is set up purposefully so that this hormone panel would have been shared with you prior to your purchase. This is done so if you do have any questions about the hormones we are testing you for, you can direct them towards our Customer Care team, who would have been happy to support you before purchase if you had any questions regarding your hormone panel.
To maintain our transparency with our customers, we also clearly state on our website that we can test for 'up to 10 hormones', however it is not guaranteed that you will be tested for all 10. We do not test hormones if there is no clinical indication for them to be tested.
We also wanted to take the opportunity to highlight that within the Advanced Hormone and Fertility test package, there is a Clinical Results Review Call. This is a call with one of our expert midwives and nurses, who would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about your results report. This call is included with every Advanced Hormone and Fertility Test and does not come with an additional fee.

No real result.
You pay quite a big sum, to receive a standard blood test back. Which by the way the blood test kit isn’t quick and easy I ended up having to prick myself 4 times. The results don’t come with a consultation to discuss the results. They want more money for the information on the test. I feel let down, still no closer to knowing if I can or cannot have a baby and if not then why.

With regards to pricing, our price includes not just the blood test but also the shipping and fulfilment costs of the kit, the lab processing fee which is required to analyse the sample and also the comprehensive results report that every customer receives along with analysis of their results and recommendations. All of our reports are written by one of our doctors, all of whom are experts in women’s health and gynaecology. This is a thorough, end-to-end care service that we are proud of, as we are offering a bespoke service as we believe in offering a personalised medical service to all our customers.
We have done extensive research to ensure that our pricing is fair, and in comparison to private clinics, which in some cases, customers could be saving thousands of pounds.
