Worse tutor service ever. Cannot guarantee you result but still wants to get paid.

I was hoping for a great learning experience but instead I was lied to and taken for $850. I asked for information online. A sales person called me back and gave me their prices. They offered one price for a few hours and a lower price if I booked 15 hours. I told them that I was starting school and may not be able to complete all the hours. The sales rep told me that I can cancel at anytime and that I would just pay for the hours I used. I used about three hours and since I started school did not have the need nor the time for tutoring. I tried to get a refund. NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN was the answer I received from the person that took my call. Then I got a phone call from a supervisor that did not hear one word I said and just kept saying "IT IS NOT OUR POLICY" I said "is it your policy to lie to the students. I asked her to speak to the sales rep who told me that I could cancel and get a refund. Her answer was she does not work here anymore. I then asked to speak to a supervisor the answer I got was IT'S ME! I once again said to please allow me to speak to a supervisor her answer again was IT IS ME!!. I don't have a supervisor. I am sure the tutors are great people but the company is a scam. I was told that my tutor would have atleast five years of experience. "I WAS HIS FIRST STUDENT. He was a great person. Very responsive and caring. He was very patient. My complaint is not with the tutor it is with the company. I have filed a better business bureau complaint, consumer affairs and will probably go to small claims court. I really don't care about the money but I want to make sure they don't do this to another student.

I signed up as a tutor through Hey Tutor in August 2019. I am an English teacher with 19 years experience. I have applied to over 40 jobs posted on their site and have been given only two jobs! One client I don’t see anymore. I have called and emailed SEVERAL times about this and am told the same thing, “continue to apply for jobs” or “feel free to call when a job is posted.” I got offered an online job and they wanted me to start right then and there, not knowing anything about the client! Of course, I declined the offer! Hey Tutor does not put their tutors first and do not listen when a complaint is made. I find their professionalism shocking.

HeyTutor has been an excellent company to work for, and the staff they employ are equally as excellent.

Josh, Amanda, Daniel, Michael, and Ryan have been excellent representatives helping me obtain better long term tutoring clients and resolving any issues that arise in the most expedient manner.

Heytutor is an awesome way for anybody to get the hands on help that they need to get through tough subjects. As a tutor it’s great to help students, but it can be difficult to schedule sessions or come up with fair costs - Heytutor eliminates those complications. At Heytutor the scheduling is all based on availabilities of the students to better help them learn on their time and the affordable costs are all determined by the subject of study. There are also cool new ways to teach others online with the updated Heytutor website, allowing me to use a digital blackboard for students who live greater distances. Tutoring here I have had the pleasure of working with phenomenal staff members like Michelle, Danielle, and Josh, who take the time to carefully review the student/tutor pairing process and ensures the best tutors are selected for their clients. With the widest range of subjects to learn about, I highly recommend Heytutor to everyone.

First, I am a tutor via HeyTutor. I have worked over 150 hours with over 40 students. I tutor subjects ranging from Math to Chemistry to Physics for all levels. I personally like the way HeyTutor connects tutors to students via an account manager. This style of system seems to work very well and allows the account managers to get to know Tutors personally to give the best support to the students.

My experience with HeyTutor was amazing. Dani was always expeditious when it came to responding to my messages. His customer service was very welcoming and warming. He was there to answer any of my questions and his help is off the charts. I would definitely recommend HeyTutor.

I am a tutor at Heytutor. Since I have been working on the site, I have been assisted a great deal by Tim. Tim is an asset to their organization. He is helpful, provides great insight on the students, and always works hard to match yoh with the right clients.

As a tutor who has been working with HeyTutor for over 4 years now, all I can say is: they get it. HeyTutor understands their students’ needs and knows how to match them with just the right tutor, which saves everybody time and money down the line, and makes for a memorable and effective educational experience.

With associates like Gia, Amanda and Ashley, HeyTutor is definitely here to stay, and I highly recommend you asking for them when you call. They truly care.

As a tutor, I really appreciated my conversation with Dani today. He explained several points I was unaware of that will be a tremendous help in securing more students to assist. He was thorough and clear and provided a strong connecting point. A real boost to the process!
