My real experience with Heytutor is very disappointing. My first tutor constantly cancelled my lessons last minute. So I ended up receiving only one lesson a month instead of one per week. After five lessons, she completely cancelled my lessons. My second tutor made up excuses twice and did not even respond the third time, and still charged me $75! I called the company for a refund. Like many others' experience, I was told I did not qualify because I did not meet with the second tutor and also I should have reported to them sooner if I was unsatisfied with their service. Let me get this straight. Heytutor blamed a reasonable customer for coping with their poor behavioral tutors and refused to refund because the customer did not meet with the second tutor who did not even notify the customer to cancel!!! I will not waste any more of my time with this company. You can keep my money and at least improve your customer service!

STAY AWAY!!!!!! DO NOT USE!!!!!! I purchased Spanish tutoring sessions and was matched with a tutor who didn't have a curriculum nor did she know all of her Spanish. I asked for a refund as I was not happy with the match. They told me that they have a two tutor policy. I never received a second call from another tutor. There is absolutely no accountability! Customer service is horrible. Still waiting for my refund.

It is the best platform one can think of to find a part-time tutoring job online. The process of applying for the job is quite easy and fruitful at the same time. You need to create an account on Heytutor and apply directly for the job.

I was looking for a tutor for an accelerated stats class for an MBA program. My husband submitted a request online for information and within minutes my phone rang with a salesman on the other side. He spoke fast and it is now clear that his goal was to get my credit card transaction on that call. He talked me in to buying $850 in tutoring services when I only needed three sessions. He claimed that they don’t offer less than 10 session packages. It was a whirlwind and I regretted it the second we hung up the phone. The salesman informed me that it would take a week to find a tutor for me. This was an accelerated class, I don’t have a week. This happened on June 7th. I went online and found a reputable tutor online the next day. My husband and I tried contacting HeyTutor via email on June 9th to cancel with no response. My husband then called and actually reached a human and told the lady that we wanted to cancel the account. She said that someone from the billing department would call back in 24 hours. No call. I called again and tried all their automated options and went straight to the same voicemail every time. Finally I got in touch with the woman on June 23rd. She tried to tell me that they are charging me a service charge of $85, or one session, because they already put the search out for a tutor. This is a terrible business strategy. What a nightmare. There are plenty of other tutoring services out there. Don’t go with one that pressures the sale.

Our experience with Heytutor was phenomenal. Arvind Suri, CMA tutored our son in college Finance and Accounting the last 3 - 4 weeks and he was magic. His ability to make the concepts easy to learn and easy to remember was exceptional. He has a way of making the boring process of accounting come to life with analogies and stories that are unforgettable.
My son got an A but Arvind gets an A plus in my book. We will use Heytutor again and again when needed because of the quality of our experience.

I was aiming to crack a competitive exam and halfway down the line, I had fallen behind on certain subjects, as they were getting tough for me. I was panicking and through thorough research came across Heytutor to find me, tutors, in those respective subjects in my area. I was matched with tutors who were within easy reach. They came home for classes, this not only saved time, but I also received hands-on experience of the exam beforehand. The subtle concepts and tricks imparted by them are the sole reason I have received admission to one of the reputed universities.

I had enrolled in Heytutor for finding me a tutor of certain software. I was a little skeptical at first over my decision. But I was amazed to see the work input put in by the tutor. He is equally adept in the software and its applications in the industry. We meet twice a week for the course, the syllabi and teaching technique are assembled in a fun way, and the out of the box deep thinking assignments has made me fall in love with the software at an instant. I already feel like a pro with esteemed confidence.

My Tutor is Lou, and she is amazing. I need a lot of help understanding the process and language of numbers. Lou is encouraging and patient. She makes sure that we end every session on a positive note for enforcement! It really works for me. I look forward to all our sessions and feel very proud to progress in my math studies every time I spend time with Lou. I know Lou will get me to the finish line.

This is the most useless platform I've seen and the tutors just suck, one of the tutors informs me 5 minutes before the session that she can't access the PDF files and I was shocked that she tries to access it 5 minutes before the session and did not review the materials at all. The second tutor I got matched was so unprofessional juuling and vaping during our study session and not having an in-depth understanding of the topic all we did was practice exam with the rationale that was given. The customer service is not that great either , I emailed a couple of times did not hear back, I tried calling in-office hours rarely some picks up. I requested for a refund according to their terms of use I am guaranteed a refund but NO, they still want me to stay even though I gave them such reasons that I don't like their platform, and I still did not get a refund for my 30-hour session.

HeyTutor has been great to work with. They paired me with an excellent tutor and she is awesome. She makes me feel like this NAB test will be a piece of cake. Super, excited for taking my test !

In 2018 I didn’t study for the GRE and got a 294. In 2020 I studied with an amazing Tutor for the math section (Isaac Burkholz) and a really great English tutor. We met online weekly for an hour, sometimes two. We began at the end of March and had about 30 hours of sessions. I took the test mid May and scored 6 points higher as heytutor promised I would. The platform was easy to use and anytime I had an issue with billing or a question about my account, heytutor was quick and super helpful. I cannot stress enough how great they were. They were friendly, never gave me any trouble or issues, and never took longer than a day to get back to me. Sometimes they would even call back within the hour. I highly recommend this company for tutoring.

totally recommend this company!! My nine year old daughter adores her french tutor and has learned quite a lot in her sessions. Our tutor, manon, always takes time to make the lessons fun, and to tailor them to my daughter's interests. worth the investment!

I paid for 60 hours of tutoring on 2/27 and then Covid19 came "knocking on the door". The tutoring was purchased for my daughter with special needs who needs the direct in-person teaching. We had used 2 lessons by the time the social distancing order was in place. On 3/20 I called and cancelled with a rep at Heytutor (Vicki) and expressed my desire for a refund of the remaining hours. She told me that her supervisor would call me back to discuss and so he did on 3/23. He informed me that "the rules" (that I never were presented with at the time of sign-up) state that there is a NO refund policy under any circumstances (might a pandemic qualify as an unexpected and valid circumstance?) however, he promised to talk to "upper management" and get back to me. On 4/3 "upper management" called me to basically make the same statement as the guy before - NO REFUND! I explained that my husband could be laid of work at any time and we needed the money ($3,500) paid for services that had not yet been rendered and by that meaning, not been paid out to a tutor (sitting cozy in their account). I was basically pleading for the person to have some compassion for the unusual situation we are in, however, this guy was only concerned with the money in his bank account. Apparently THIS is how Heytutor is doing business - VERY DISAPOINTING👎🏻

We are so happy that we chose Heytutor for Statistics. Our son did so well - his tutor Isaac Burkholz was amazing . He was patient and took the time to really teach him. If he needed to understand homework Isaac was flexible and would make sure to work with our sons schedule .
We highly recommend Isaac Burkholz as a tutor and would use him again.

I was quickly assigned a tutor who was very proficient in the subject area for working with my child. The administration is prompt in getting your child assigned a tutor and even when we needed to be reassigned, it was very seamless and we had another qualified tutor for the remainder of the semester. I am very confident that HeyTutor will match your child so that he/she will become successsful!

Dr Knupp is stupendous. Felipe has learned more from her in just 17 lessons than he did from 3 university classes in Cali, Colombia which used Embarrassment Punishments for any student who used a single Spanish word to ask questions in classes. She has incentivized him to continue on in a classroom environment now with a thorough grasp of English grammar as well as a rich vocabulary. Her methods and pleasant manner as well as her recommended materials are great!

Payment is secure and confidential, the site is user-friendly, and representatives are always quick to message you back with any concerns you might have. This has been a most valuable asset to my LSAT training and I believe I will use it again sometime for other areas of study.
