Only Received Help After Filing a BBB Complaint

My first rollover through Capitalize went smoothly, but my second rollover was a disaster.

One of my 401(k) rollovers stalled for months because I never received the required envelope to complete the process. During that time, I spent hours trying to contact support by phone and email. Calls repeatedly went to voicemail, messages were not returned, and emails went unanswered.

The most frustrating part is that I was only able to reach someone after I submitted a BBB complaint. Once that happened, I received a text saying an envelope had been sent. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the months of delay, and no discussion of the financial opportunity cost caused by the funds being stuck in limbo.

These are retirement funds, and delays like this matter. While Capitalize may work well when everything goes smoothly, my experience was that if something goes wrong, customer support and accountability were extremely lacking.

Exceptional Customer Service

The customer service was exceptional! Prompt, friendly, and capable. Capitalize helped me rollover a relatively small amount of money from an obscure retirement fund to my traditional IRA. Despite it being a small amount, they helped me with all parts of the process and made it so much easier for me to deal with!

Very easy process

The process was very straight forward and easy to complete on my own. It did take a few business days but that is absolutely understandable. I liked receiving consistent updates and the process moved along.

Capitalize made the process SO easy

Capitalize made the process SO easy! In the past, I had to call one bank, print out the documents, scan and email them back . This time with Capitalize the effort on my end was minimal. I loved the experience & that you can schedule calls in advance.
