Jumping through return rings of fire

I'm having the same experience as Jack O..
I ordered shoes and they are too small (I even measured my foot according to their guide before ordering). I contacted them via email and was told I could send them more money to receive a new pair and keep what I had. I have no use for them so I wanted to do an even exchange for a larger size. They started I could but then asked for pictures which I sent and they replied asking for more pictures, of what I don't know. Each email takes days to get a response to. I have not yet been given the form to return the item, but if it is truly going to China then I will also be stuck with some shoes.

RETURN POLICY REQUIRES SHIPPING TO CHINA

Their return policy requires one to ship your shoes back to China. $49.80 for 2 pairs of shoes that cost $109.00. BEWARE!

They lie

They lie, asked if I could return they said no they don’t take returns. When there policy states they do. As soon as I received them I contacted them to exchange for the correct sizes. When back and forth trying to resolve to no avail. I give up I’ll look elsewhere for shoes.

Shoes arrived and did not fit properly

Shoes arrived and did not fit properly. I began the exchange/return process by attempting to call then had to email. I had a quick response email which stated that I could send more funds and select a different product. I sent a return email requesting a refund and went through an email exchange which included them requiring pictures of the shoes and packaging. I complied and a few days later received a response with a return form that required me to ship them to China. Obviously shipping them to China would cost considerably more than I paid for the shoes so no choice but to live with unsatisfactory shoes. Will absolutely not purchase from again. Experience seemed like a scam and probably was.
Live and learn.

DO NOT BUY from Hike Balance!

DO NOT BUY from this company. Shoes are cheap knock offs. Not as advertised--no wide toe box. Returns are a nightmare. Took 4 weeks to get order.

The shoes are marketed as wide toe box…

The shoes are marketed as wide toe box but they aren’t. I can’t wear them. This happens sometimes with online orders, I get it. It’s the customer service I have a problem with. I can’t fault the communication as I got replies very quickly. BUT shoes have to be returned to China at my expense which is almost the cost of the shoes. I explained that they were not as advertised and got offered 15% then 20% refund and don’t have to return them. The return address on the package is Auckland, why can’t I return them there? These days with so much online shopping I expect better from a company. Definitely would not recommend unless you need a regular shoe rather than wide fit as the shoes look great, I just can’t wear them. I should have been able to return them within my country where they were sent from. With full refund. Or return costs covered by them due to misleading marketing.

Don’t Purchase - Small and Cheap Quality

I ordered two pairs of shoes for $100 which is buy one get one free. I checked a size chart and ordered the size that matches all of my current hiking shoes.
Over two weeks for the shoes to arrive in a plastic bag from China. As soon as I put them on, I could tell they were two sizes too small.
I reached out to the support team to request replacement shoes and they said if I paid them an additional $49.00 per pair they will send larger sizes.

Bad Company, DO NOT BUY

I ordered shoes and they did not fit, they were not true size and too small even though I ordered a size up. There was NO padding in the shoe AT ALL. I am still trying to get a refund for this purchase. Highly unlikely because I keep getting the run around via email asking me to buy more product. This company is in China. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!
Also, they keep asking how they can help, but never tell you how to return the shoes. Just got one of those emails today 2 months after I tried to return them.

Bad - I ordered 2 pairs for $100- too Small

I ordered 2 pairs for $100, They took 4 weeks to deliver in torn bag. Shoes are new, too small, not at all as advertised with wide toe. I emailed their website twice to return, but no response. I called the number on the website....disconnected. Reviews said it costs more than the cost of the shoe to return to China. Shoes shipped by "Jerry Yasfbara" a scam related company. Stay away.

Disappointed with Return Process – Buyer Beware

Before purchasing a pair of shoes from **HikeBalance.com**, I made sure to read their return policy carefully, since I often have difficulty finding shoes that fit well. The website gave the impression that they are an American company, so I felt comfortable moving forward with the order.

Shipping took a while, and once I was finally able to track the package, I discovered the shoes were coming from **China**—not the U.S., as I was led to believe. When they arrived, they were new and in good condition, but unfortunately, they didn’t fit. The shoes were too narrow and tight—not true to standard U.S. sizing.

I contacted Hike Balance about returning them. They asked for photos to determine whether they’d accept the return, which I provided. Two days later, they approved it and sent instructions—**asking me to ship the shoes back to China** at my own expense.

The return shipping costs more than the $60 shoes themselves**. I was very upset. Had I known, I would have ordered from Amazon or another trusted retailer with a straightforward return policy. Total regret.

Final Thoughts: The shoes may look nice, but the return process is a hassle and misleading. Be cautious before buying.

Lesson Learned

So far, I find this company a little shady. On their website I found a statement offering both a 30 day and a 60 day trial & refund. Also conflicting info on if you can wear them and return or if they need to be unworn. Also, it appears the company y is in the U.S., but the tracking info is coming from China. I have yet to receive the shoes, so I can't comment on quality yet.
UPDATE: 7/30/25
I received the shoes today. The toe box is not wider than other brands, they are too tight. Also no arch support. Initiated a return, customer service were quick to respond. I did need to provide pictures of shoes & packaging. I need to pay return shipping, however I didn't see or realize shipping is to Asia. I checked with usps and shipping would be appx $90. BTW, the shoes arrive in a plastic shipping bag (no box) and the return address is in California. Lesson learned.

Do not buy from this company

I wish I could give a review of the product but I haven't received the shoes after three weeks.

Won't be donating money to this company/fake storefront again.

I hope I can get my money back!

Sent the wrong size shoes

Sent the wrong size shoes, came in torn poorly packed bag that had torn open. Shipping took 21 days to arrive with no mention of that kind of slow shipping. Refused to pay for the return shipping when i sent their shoes back that they sent in error. The shoes are cheap, thin materials and poorly made/sewn and extremely, abnormally narrow. RUN away from HikeBalance.

Overall Terrible experience

Got my shoes. Too big. Is a total hassle to send back. You have to pay this shipping back which is half of what I paid for the shoes. Customer service was terrible. Took 10 emails to them just to get what I needed. I wouldn’t waste your money!

If you decide to order these

If you decide to order these, size up. I wear a 9.5 womens and bought the 9/9.5, too small. My friend ordered the 10/10.5 womens, these fit me.
I have been trying to exchange my shoes to get a larger pair, the company wants me to buy a pair, half price and get a second pair half price, why?
Than they want me to take a picture of the shoes to see if they would approve the exchange,if they decide to exchange them
Don't buy these shoes! There is no way the thin soles can be good for hiking either
Also, the company advertises that you should buy from them because companies from other countries are trying to sell something similar. These shoes are shipped from China!

I will never order a product from hike…

I will never order a product from hike balance again. Their size chart on the website stinks. I ordered two pair of shoes, one for me and one for my wife, neither pair fit. Nowhere on the website are the sizes listed in centimeters yet when the shoes finally show up there is a sticker with the cm size one them. I know what size I wear in cm, if they had listed the correct equivalent sizes and put the cm sizing on the web I would have ordered two completely different sizes. In the process of trying to return them I had to email several times and send pictures of the new/unworn shoes several times before they emailed me the return information and address to return them. They want me to send them to China!!!! It cost $175 to send two pair of $50 shoes back to China. What kind of BS is this? Not only will I never order a product from this company I would say buyer beware, you might want to read other reviews before you ever order from Hike Balance!!!

Counterfeit Knock off

Shoes are a very cheap knock off of something, and definitely not orthopedic shoes. Lining inside shoe not properly stitched and you can feel it lifting even before wearing. Very thin material and sole, no support anywhere in shoe for foot support and thinly glued together.

Convoluted returns policy with multiple requests for photos of the delivered product before they will allow a return at owner's expense with an alleged promise of refund upon arrival.

Do not buy.
