We initially had a difficult experience with Koala regarding a protection fee refund. The process took longer than expected, and we felt we weren’t getting clear updates, which led us to leave a negative review.
However, Koala has now fully resolved the issue and refunded the protection fee. Their team followed up, clarified the situation, and ensured the refund was processed. We appreciate their effort in addressing our concerns and closing the case properly.

I booked insurance with you through RailEurope called CFAR Cancel For Any Reason which through HIKOALA.. The travel is not until December this year. I wanted to add another traveller in our party, 4 adults and 2 children. I was told by RailEurope I could not and that I had to obtain a refund through HIKOALA first- third party, and rebook. I have tried several times to access the HIKOALA form on the link form RailEurope and an error message keeps appearing. I contacted you through contact us and Lorenzo, only name I have asked me to send my details bank account etc by email. I have since asked him to send the form to fill in to request a refund as he did not ask for the train booking etc... I haven't heard from him.
We are flying from Australia and landing in Paris for a few days and had planned to take the train to Köln for a family get together.
I bought your insurance in good faith, we still want to travel by train, we just want to change the booking and add another person.
