Had a Hikvision replacement CCTV but…

Had a Hikvision replacement CCTV but the professional installer could not explain why there was an extra camera outlet that (I) I couldn’t access and (ii) couldn’t permanently delete. I contacted Hikvision to ask about the extra camera outlet but received the response that they would not answer my questions and would only deal with the installer. When I complained, I was told by this adviser that he received over 30 positive feedbacks a day but understood that I may feel a little sour if I could not manage my expectations!

Installed a very expensive system and…

Installed a very expensive system and when it came to a fault the supplier couldn't fix, Hikvision UK washed their hands and refused to help.

I am extremely unhappy!!

Hikvision's excuse is that their product is "commercial grade and only supported via registered installers" - well Hikvision, I have news for you. The product needs to work regardless of who installed it...

Still being Chinese owned and there being calls for this company to be banned in the UK, I suspect there will be little support for anyone going forward...

Not a good experience

*Set up Events but they have now stoped sending emails.
*PC strugles to find Camera image on both Chrome and Edge,even after downloads
*System Can not as standard send Event by Text only email not practical for mobile alerts.
*Sited recorder in loft as recomended by retailer however remote is not Blue tooth so NO good.
*Tried several times to setup Sony tv to view Cameras over Network with No luck.

Had our cctv installed and was pleased…

Had our cctv installed and was pleased with it, the year warranty ran out and the problems started, the connections are absolute rubbish and we have to keep replacing them to be able to view our cameras, we paid extra for night vision but its rubbish. Will be looking into another brand of cctv very soon.

Hikvision is one of the worst cctv companies online customer services is bad I have had I very expensive system fitted the dvr box nearly set our home on fire when contacted they just passed the complaint and ignored me I sent them everything they asked for now its legal action costing us more money redicilas bad for business avoid

Terrible support

Terrible support. Equipment does not work well with internet browers. Keep needing Firmware updates adn plugins to allow continued use and these are hard to find and these dont last long, so you end up with cameras and dvrs that cant view the cameras via browsers - this is really poor. Most cheap and nasty IP camera systems dont have these problems - so why does one of the biggest security companies in the world - beggars belief.

Hikvision Support UK ** arrogant and unhelpful**

I have an issue with accessing the Hikvision online cloud to view my CCTV images remotely since swapping phone. The Support UK team refused to support me asking me to go to a retailer I bought it from. My retailer no longer sells or supports Hikvision. Don’t bother buying Hikvision. What a waste of time and lacking any sense of customer service.

I was quoted over and over again, it’s Hikvision policy to not support you further. !!

Hik Vision are great

Hik Vision are great. That’s why all shops, businesses and government use them.

HOWEVER: FOR THE PEOPLE PUTTING BAD REVIEWS GOT THEM INSTALLED WRONG-HIK VISION CAN ONLY BE INSTALLED BY PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION INSTALLERS OTHERWISE IT WONT WORK.

Horrible

Horrible, horrible system. My first clue should have been the installer making excuse after excuse for how buggy the software was. My favorite part is how the PTZ cameras occasionally change position on their own without anyone moving them. They just start moving, as if someone is remotely controlling them (not me). I would never buy this system again, and wish I knew how to get a refund.

Re cctv faulty dangerous &very bad customer services.

I have had fitted on all my properties mainly hikvision cctv the one on my home the dvr as burnt out and the camera as stopped working I tried to resolve this with them and they just ignore me very bad customer services
I'll never buy there products again

Poor Hik vision app

I had a security system put into my home by professional installers 4 months ago and at the start it worked as expected but as time went on it went off line more times than it was on and more recently it has stopped giving any notifications whatsoever which defeats the the whole purpose I tried getting in touch with them with no success I then found a website for them giving a place where you can review them personally I went through the time to write out a review exactly what I have stated here and also giving 1star when I was finished it asked for a nickname to be added I went through at the very least 100 different nicknames some which were totally outrageous and would be very surprised if anyone else had came up with them but everyone I put in I got the same response this nickname is already used it probably would have been different if I had given a good review I am an honest person and do not like to see the public ripped off so when I do review I give it from personal experience so as others can see and beware.By the way although app is showing that my notifications are enabled they must not be as I am receiving nothing.

Had to spend about a week of phone calls to Uk technical support on how to reset passwords as an electrical surge knocked out the NVR
Was told they will only support the NVR not their cameras as I’m an end user
Eventually sorted out with persistent emails and phone calls but I’m already looking at getting a system that the owner is in full secure control of
DONT BUY HIKVISION they don’t care about sold items only care about selling them

I have never come across such poor…

I have never come across such poor customer service, despite paying hundreds of pounds for hikvision cameras and a dvr it does not work. Hik vision will not help, they say to contact the installer. However the installer is no longer in business. Absolute bunch of conmen. Do not buy from this company

Extremely poor customer service

Extremely poor customer service. I think Hikvisison takes a cut from the installers. They only support the installer and not the end user, whereas if the end user is not happy then these reviews are written and word gets around. I had and still have a simply isse with the micro SD and even for this they asked me to contact the installer. It is just unbelievable.

Genuinely don’t bother

Genuinely don’t bother - cameras 80% of the time say “this device is offline” when you ask why this is the case they blame the connection at client end regardless of your 130 download speed, 4G and flawless ring doorbell connection.
