What a great find this place is. We were running very late due to the M5 but Lisa was amazing, told us where our plot was and even left a treat bag for us on our own picnic bench. This bag included a treat for our dog Bertie, a poo bag, biscuits, tea bags and all the instructions we needed, never had this before and it was a lovely touch.
The site is immaculate and would highly recommend a stay here.

Just returned from our second stay at Hillandale. Excellently run site, facilities superb, even have soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the free showers. Lovely flat hard standing pitches. Very clean and tidy. Owners very friendly and helpful. Well situated with only a short (1.5) miles into Hay on Wye across couple of fields and lanes. Also a lovely walk in along the river.

Our second stay at the cleanest friendliest site.

What an amazingly clean, well appointed site with (what feels like) brand new facilities on this Hay-on-Wye, Hillandale Caravan site. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner all provided in super effective showers. I particularly liked the dishwasher (machine, not my husband!)
Great touch. For £1 you can take a day off washing up-)
A lovely little stroll of a mile, on a quiet country lane and footpath, into Hay and all that has to offer
Rob and Lisa are very friendly, helpful and welcoming and Boris the JRT is super friendly
Yes, a fairly busy road does run by the site but that is only a small issue

An excellent campsite. We were warmly greeted by enthusiastic and happy staff. Lovely clean site with level pitches, all very well maintained. Great loos and showers all of which are immaculate.
Lovely views from the site and very close to Hay on Wye.

Helpful and welcoming staff who were always on hand if needed. Very good pitch and the picnic bench was a real bonus.

The quietest and cleanest campsite I have ever stayed at. An absolute joy to experience. Friendly and helpful hosts too. Can't recommend highly enough and will definitely return.

Stayed at hay on wye caravan park absolutely faultless the team here work tirelessly to make your stay good Facilities are spotless and kept that way all day and the pitches are very level and well kept No criticism at all Well done to you all.

We stayed one night but instantly felt at home. We were made to feel so welcome - Paula and Peter were amazing and clearly go the extra mile to make sure everything is absolutely perfect. The facilities were spotless and the grounds were really well kept. The warm welcome was also extended to our puppy, Celt, who thoroughly enjoyed all the attention. The welcome pack dog treat was a lovely gesture. The walk into Hay took around 20mins and is ideal to work off the wide range of meals and ice creams available in a number of dog-friendly eateries. We will be back as this campsite is definitely one of the best we’ve stayed at.

From the warm welcome when we arrived, to the incredibly clean facilities along with the site being more than dog friendly. We could not have asked for more on our weekend visit. All set in a beautiful country setting and easy walk to Hay on Wye. We will come back and will look at the other locations as well. Top marks.

Hadnt booked. Only wanted an overnight stay. Staff v friendly and welcoming. Facilities v clean.
Would definitely recommend and use again

This is an outstanding site at anytime of the year, but especially during The Hay Festival with its easy access to the festival itself and to the main road to the lovely town of Hay-on-Wye. We have stayed here with our Motorhome over many years and were pleasantly surprised that under the new management team, standards and facilities were even better than before. Lisa, Rob,Paula and Peter are so friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.Set in beautiful countryside this site is a real pleasure and we can’t wait to come back next year.Highly recommended.

A warm welcome, beautiful site and super clean facilities - we couldn’t have asked for more. And the short walk into Hay through fields and a quiet lane just made it all perfect.

A great site. Wardens very friendly and helpful. Site well organised and quiet. Close to Hay Festival site - walkable across a field and along a quite back road, or a short trip by car. Already booked for next year.

First visit to this site. Lovely friendly staff, very helpful thank you. Facilities immaculate. Once new washing up area completed would give it 5*. Near enough to festival and town to walk ( very pleasant). Took our granddaughter to her first ever Hay festival! Perfect visit

Hay on Wye caravan park is outstanding. From the warm friendly welcome, the exceptionally clean facilities to the quiet very green site. It is perfect for the Hay Festival. Lisa, Paula, Rob & Pete are friendly professional hosts. Nothing is too much. We have been caravaning for almost 40 years, it is our GOAT site! Can't wait until next year.
