We had great stay here during the recent Hay Festival.
The hardworking, helpful and friendly team of Rob, Lisa, Paula and Peter, the well maintained surroundings and the excellent clean facilities, made for a perfect stay in a lovely environment.
We are looking forward to coming back again next year, and to seeing the expansion and upgrading of the dishwashing area which is already underway

What a lovely site Hay-on-Way Caravan Park is. Relatively small, but perfectly managed. Having stayed at many Caravan and Motorhome Club sites across the UK, we're often disappointed at the lack of attention to detail, so it was incredibly refreshing to see how this site team makes the effort to ensure everything is to guests' satisfaction. The toilet blocks are spotless, the loos/showers offer soap, shampoo and conditioner, the planters are full of fresh herbs, and a little welcome kit (for both us and the dog) was a lovely touch. The scenery is beautiful but still offers easy access to the main road into Hay-on-Wye as well as a 10-minute walking route to the festival area. Rob and Lisa (and Boris) and their team were so cheery and helpful. We hope to come back!

Friendly and helpful staff, great facilities and prime location for the festival.

We had a great stay for 5 nights during the Hay Festival. The site is in a great location for the festival, just a 10-15 min walk. The site itself is well maintained and the facilities are kept immaculately clean. Lisa and co are very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to returning next year.

Stayed at the Hay on Wye site for the second week of the Hay festival, as we have done for many, many years, in our camper van. When the original owners sold to Hillandale I thought it inevitable that the standards of near perfection were certain to fall. In fact the standards remain astonishingly high with the new team. Friendly, helpful, all facilities immaculately clean, several useful improvements. Well done! Not so easy to achieve when the site is full.

Brilliant access to Hay-On-Wye festival - 15 minute walk across an official pathway through the field.

Only down side, is close to busy road. But, this is also a benefit because the caravan park is close to Hay and easily accessible.

Friendly, clean, quiet site with lovely walk through a field full of news lambs to the Festival site.

Stayed in our touring caravan for five days during the Hay Festival 2024. Staff were helpful and friendly both prior to and during our stay. The location was perfect for the festival, and 15-20 minute brisk walk to the centre of Hay (or 5 minutes on a bicycle). The site was quiet, clean, tidy, and well laid out. Pitches were spacious and pretty level. Showers, toilets, washing up facilities etc were new, clean and sized to suit a full park. It’s a lovely campsite, with nothing to criticise, and we have already booked to stay again.

The new team running this site are really friendly and helpful. They work so hard to keep the site looking amazing 🌼🌼🌼👏🏻 ... And the shower and toilet block sparkling 🧼🫧✨ 👏🏻

Although the site is located just outside of Hay itself, there is a quiet walking route across a couple of fields 🐑🐑🐑🐎🏇🐎and along a country lane that takes you to the edge of the town

For the more adventurous, you can walk directly from the site up the quiet lanes to hay bluff - without getting in your car 🎉

I would really recommend this site for exploring Hay-on-Wye and the surrounding area

Just spent the most amazing time at this excellently run campsite. The team Rob, Lisa, Pete and Paula certainly made my holiday very special. They were all extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was to much trouble, they always had a smile of their face and made you feel very welcome. What made this so special was the campsite was totally full as I was there for the famous Hay festival, but the service they gave really made my holiday.

We had a great time at the Hay-on-Wye site in our campervan at the end of May. It is the best situated place to stay for a visit to the Hay Festival - a quick 15 minute walk across the field and along a quiet road.
Large flat pitches, immaculate shower/toilet block, thoughtful recycyling and rubbish area. Plans afoot for improvements. Lots of local info. And best of all Rob, Pete and the girls. A lovely friendly knowledgable team. Everything from dog treats, to recipe ideas, walking routes, and even pulling us out of the mud when we got stuck. Brilliant ! Thanks guys. Would love to see you again some time.

Lovely site, friendly staff, good facilities for disabled bathroom, convenient for the Hay Festival

Recently visited the Hay-on-Wye site and was met with a friendly and informative welcome, my dog was very happy because treats were involved. The facilities were very clean. The surroundings views of the countryside and gorgeous lambs in the adjourning field were wonderful. The walk into Hay was an easy stroll of about 20 minutes. Only downside was a very limited bus service from the site.

Well to start with, the location is sublime. Views, and sunset outstanding! Bearing in mind weather is the determinant of either shear bliss, or bravery! High winds, simply anchor down and hold tight 😂 But when the sun shines and the wind is kind, you wouldn't want to be anywhere else! Believe me.

The staff are welcoming and super supportive.

If you're towing a caravan, plan your final part of the route. Single track road, hilly and winding in and down to the site. Use a Sat Nav that you can set your vehicle type as a truck or trailer vehicle so it can help get the best way in at the end stages.

Quiet atmosphere, immaculate facilities, toiletries provided in shower block, washing up liquid in dishwashing area, given welcome pack of teabags, coffee and food recycling bag. Pleasant walk across fields to Hay on Wye.
Would highly recommend.

We’ve just had camping connect installed I would recommend it to anyone who were thinking of getting it installed .

We have been on the park for the last four years as seasonal pitch customers which we have thoroughly enjoyed. We then had the opportunity to purchase a static on a lovely fenced pitch.
The park is absolutely beautiful, all year round. The wildlife and an abundance of birds is just lovely.
All staff are so friendly and welcoming and the facilities are spotless. The grounds are kept immaculate with herb gardens , hanging baskets and flowers. So glad we came here in the beginning . You are local to Bewdley and Stourport. Five minutes by car either way. What a gem!!!

Found Riverbend 7 years ago and we fell in to its dreamy, enchanted clutches. Where else could you get a riverside pitch and enjoy otters 15ft from your window. Woodpeckers, Jackdaws, and host of little feathered friends on your bird feeder plus those pesky squirrels.
Watch the kingfisher darting too and fro along the river above water voles and wild mallard in droves
Trees of all descriptions are growing all through this small park the grass is always kept in a prestine condition.
The washrooms are possible the finest I have seen anywhere, all this and more is provided and looked after by manager Angie and Lyndsey with their crew of two Max & Ash.
