Room was dirty. Wall paper peeling, baseboards dirty, carpet dirty, a/c vent filthy, ceilling apparently had a leak and was poorly patched. Definitely Not up to Hilton or Doubletree standard. I'll nev... See more

Review for Brighton Hotel
Review for Brighton Hotel
"I'd rather sleep on the street!"
This hotel is one of the worst I've had the misery of staying in. Firstly the website took my money but didn't book the room, so I ended up paying twice. I later got one payment refunded (via Paypal). The hotel is VERY old, like horror story old.
There were strange stains on the ceiling and the once white gloss was now a horrible yellow colour. Who knows what secrets the carpets hold? The room service was offered but the price was £17.50 for a ridiculously small offering (the menu said £14.00 - thanks COVID!), of which I could have eaten five of.
The room was sparse and the air conditioning had been stolen I assume as although I could hear someones, it wasnt mine. As I didnt have any. This left the room hot and the window wouldn't open more than an inch. At this point I couldnt even call my family to rescue me...I assume the window only opens slightly to prevent "jumpers"
I went to sleep hoping breakfast would be awesome. It wasn't. I t was missing half the ingredient I ordered and was again one of the worst breakfasts I've had. Upon booking out I noticed my mobile phone wasn't charged - later investigation revealed the socket I was using didn't work.
Update - the shower is cold when I used the main shower head. The fun here is endless.
DO NOT STAY HERE
Hampton Inn
Hampton Inn, St. Augustine, Florida on Ponce DeLeon. I was extremely disappointed with this location. I understand that with Covid restrictions and limited staff hotel stays are not what they used to be. My experience: On our arrival on Friday, April 30th we used the bathroom and the toilet leaked like an open fountain. Water was everywhere, we panicked called front desk guy who was extremely busy, threw towels on floor to prevent water from leaking to the outside hallway, when the front desk guy arrived he pushed the towels aside and proceeded to use a wet vac to suck the excess water. He was working the front desk alone with no emergency help. He said he would put in a work order for the repair and could not provide another room because there were none available. We took off early in morning and upon returning to the room in the afternoon the soaking wet towels were still on the floor. You would think he would have requested the cleaning service the next day, but didn't. The water in the bathroom sink was barely coming out of the faucet, the toilet seat was lose and shifted easily, not to mention they advertise hot breakfast and it was a stale bagel in a box. I was so distressed and livid that they charge so much for a two night stay. I let the front desk guy have it and said I would be making this poor handling of this mess known in a review. The poor front desk manager was kind enough to give us credit and take off a one night stay, when in fact he should have credited us the entire bill, it was so horrible. I don't think Hilton is what it used to be and the excellent service Hampton Inn once provided is long gone. Don't think I'll be staying in Hilton Hotel any time soon unless they clean up the deteriorating structure of many of their hotels.
Hilton
Hilton, Memphis Tennessee off Ridge Lake... this place is terrible!!!! Pool is closed!! Staff is rude!!! Parking Lot is terrible!! Pot holes!! The grounds look so bad, all the rose bushes are replaced with weeds!! I ordered a caramel macchiato grande coffee for $7 and got a cup of black coffee!! The staff said no that’s what your ordered! Really for $7, I was so mad!! This place needs new staff!! I mean the lady working Starbucks had her daughter at work!! This place is a joke!! Don’t stay here. This has been the Worst Experiences I have ever have at a hilton property and I stay at the hiltons almost every chance i get .
I made a reservation at this property over a month prior and I needed a handicap accessible room which I asked for, And received.
Then a week before our visit I made sure that I had a handicap accessible room for this was very important to our stay , at that time the clerk assignment me a handicap room , room 317 I jotted it down in my notes , and all was good until I arrived.
When I arrived I no longer had my handicap assessable room .
And was told they couldn't do anything about it when I asked for maybe for a shower chair they offered me a plastic chair ., which I refused because my mother would've fallen off and probably killed her self.
Then they offered me to maybe try to stay somewhere else we decided to do as it wasn't safe to stay in this hotel with my handicap Mother.
Iam very disappointed that Hitlon desire to accommodate handicap is low priority.
I had to argue To get my hilton reward points back as i didn't used that room nor was it a acceptable room for handicap use.
Not to mention I believe there should be compensation of points for the entire weekend as I was out of town and have no place to stay they left me high in dry for three days.
I'm a rewards member and has been for many years and this has left a very bad taste in my mouth I hope somebody can make this right.
I hope and await to see compensation in my account for this horrifying weekend , or this will push me to discontinuing my membership with hilton .
My original points back it's not compensation!!!
Almost Lifetime....rethinking
Once recognized for my 8+ years of highest tier status. Although I don’t expect status specific customer experience, since 2020 no status or any status has any meaning. Ive traveled cross country, vacationed, and staycationed the past 18 months...company/franchise wide customer -appreciation has fallen off a cliff.
If you love your children
If you love your children, stay far away from Homewood Suites in Manchester, NH. We has reservations for 4/19 for a Tournament my boyfriend was playing on the following day. We were set to check in on time 3pm. We were informed they were understaffed and it would be a wait. Ok. 2.5 hours later we get the room key, unload the car and begin to put our things away. I hear a loud bang come from my sons room and he's on the floor with the 100lb glass door on his head. This thing was held on by 1/4in plastic?!? Then... my 4 yr old son, hands me a Blue Narcotic Pill he found next to the TV in the living area. Yeah.. Worry Free Stay Huh? My child almost died because of your neglect and lack of management skills. Then we are lied to by the manager about our refund, find out my bf got sick and developed a fungus from a moldy ice machine. The child safety locks were broken off the windows, furniture was busted and the bathrooms smelt like mold. Probably from the dunkin donut straws and trash stuffed in the vents. This place is a nightmare. Then to top it off someone was shot twice down the street at a poker room.
The Homewood Suites in Princeton
The Homewood Suites in Princeton, NJ is terrible. The staff is racist. The managers and the front desk are impolite and rude. The carpet on the room floor is filthy with stains. You can hear the person sleeping in the room next to you entire conversations because the walls are super thin. The convenience store is extremely overpriced. Very unwelcoming hotel.
The worst and most expensive stay
I would’ve given it no Stars ok so first they accused me of smoking in the room which I didn’t they said they found an ash on the toilet seat seriously come on so then I’m charged $265 😳😤 which is absolutely ridiculous I can’t tell you how many time I called and couldn’t get a manager then when I do the guy sounded like I just woke him up and I was bothering him he pretty much tells me too bad it is what it is then after emailing the corporate office over and over again nobody at all got back to me this is the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with but seriously $265 that’s a lot of money they can have there Hilton honors card back
VERY POOR SERVICE...GOING DOWN HILL!!
VERY POOR SERVICE...GOING DOWN HILL!!! I am a formal State government employee. On occasion, I would travel 1-4 week throughout the state and ever since I moved to another state to retire, I continued to utilize my business trips to include Hilton Hotel chains. Recently I stayed at the Hilton Hampton Inn in Plano. After asking for extra towels, staff told me to ask the desk. Staff was very unwelcoming! -Asked for a refund for 3 out of 5 days. I complained to Corporate and still wasn't able to rectify the issue.
Stayed Last night in Downtown Tampa…
Stayed Last night in Downtown Tampa Hilton which was a horrible experience. You’d think as a Hilton Honors member they would treat our stay w Honor. They put us by elevator shaft where you can hear the hotel all night long. When asking the front desk to respond to requests it took 3 calls and past midnight to receive needed items. Then the front desk and security treated us w contempt - no apology or help. Avoid this property.
I stay in hotels EVERY week
I stay in hotels EVERY week. I spend thousands a month on hotels. I am amazed at how poor the customer service is. I currently stay IHG and was trying to do a status match with Hilton but unfortunately I reached out to do so as soon as Covid began not knowing anything about Covid. Now they refuse to allow me to do it again since they’ve already let me once but traveling was restricted during the time period. And now they refuse and ignore my messages asking about it which I find crazy. I’m in the business world and wouldn’t imagine turning away a customer under those circumstances on top of knowing they would bring me several ground dollars a month. Every time I reach out it’s an hour hold time and emails are responded to with little to no help.
This was a staycation..
This was a staycation... I personally called hotel to see if pool and jacuzzi were open and working. I was told by 2 employees that they were working. Once we arrived and paid we found out jacuzzi was NOT working and there was nothing they could do about it. 1 person working the front and 6 people in line. Lots of kids in jacuzzi because jets were not working. Once she knew our reservation was made through hotels.com she said since it was done through a 3rd part there was nothing she could do about it. Rooms were decent but curtains dirty and tub was clogged. This will be the last time we stay at this hotel again. I’d rather take my money elsewhere. Speaking to other guests from out of town and their experience was the same.. not impressed at all.
A Hilton in Name Only
After researching hotel safety precautions under Covid, I chose a Hilton because of their professed protocol.
Part of that protocol where a tool is “sealed” with a big blue sticker after being serviced to show the room is sanitized and no one has entered the room to compromise the cleanliness.
When I opened the door it was apparent the sticker was very loose.
My usual practice is to bring my own quilt and pillow whenever possible. Upon removing the comforter and pulling down the top sheet, there were depressions in the fitted sheet that indicated pressure (like that of a human body) had been applied to a large area of the sheet, pushing it down into the mattress pad.
I called the front desk to report the problem and was told there was nothing that could be done, as there was no staff available. When I persisted, I was told it would be a 45 minute wait until the line desk clerk could bring me a clean sheet. A bed in another room was not an option as the hotel was full.
At 10:50 the desk clerk did bring clean sheets and a mattress pad. The sheets were wet.
I slept wrapped in my own quilt.
Never had this problem at a LaQuinta.
The room itself is spacious and appealing.
we booked to stay at Double tree park…
we booked to stay at Double tree park Vista by Hilton ,Gatlinburg . TN for the nights of 3/31/21 to 4/1/21 using my HH points at the recommendation of Diamond member representative. When we arrived we found out that the hotel is very outdated and the room that was given had full of old food items left over in the refrigerator from the previous guest . In addition the bath tub had hairs , toilet seat had stains and used old shampoo bottle were left on the bathroom floor.
The bed sheet and pillow covers were old and not changed.
The night general manger came up clean the room himself and WE changed the bed sheet and pillow cases ourselves.!
The Manager Daniel promised to return full Hilton Honors points for two nights since we were not satisfied with the stay.
I called next morning at 11 AM at the number that was listed on the parking tag of Double tree Park Vista Gatlinburg . TN to cancel the next night stay and was assured that next night room reservation will be cancelled and Hilton honor points will be re credited.
The day Manager “John” refused to honor the return of 55 K Hilton Honor points back to me and was not helpful at all and adamant in keeping my HH 55 K points !!!!
I had to call back Diamond desk member representative to get my points back .
It was such a horrendous stay at Double tree Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg . TN . !!!!!
DO NOT STAY at this HOTEL !!!!
Losing faith in Hilton Honor Hotel !! b

bad im in atlanta georgia no room service or anything and over priced store closed early so i would starve. Plus security was very bad a known nice young man get hurt because of his job not cool. No but charge full price.
I always thought hilton chain was good
I always thought hilton chain was good. NOT ANYMORE. I am a diamond member and they make me feel like they are doing me a favor for letting me stay in their hotels. The one embassy suites in Parsippany nj was the worst. What a sham. The hotel looks very nice however their is no control over their guests. 100 kids and adults checked in and were running up and down halls screaming for hours. Noone wore masks. I saw noone hand sanitizing. They internet in my room didn't work. They want to fill rooms . They care less about business guests. They want big groups who can do whatever they want disturbing other guests. Customer service offers points. I dont need points. I wanted a peaceful place to work and relax. Not in this hotel. Poor management
Frankfurt, Germany Airport Hilton - Excellent Customer Service!
I stayed at the Frankfurt, Germany Airport Hilton in January 2021. Sadly, my fiancée left a very nice jacket in the room. She returned to her home in Germany and I returned to the US. I contacted the hotel upon my arrival to the US and after just a couple of emails the jacket was placed in the mail and received a couple of days later!
I want to recognize Yvonne, Front Desk Operations Manager, Hilton Frankfurt Airport / Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt Airport. She was attentive to my problem, prompt and very courteous! Please recognize and thank her for her efforts!
What shuttle.....no, that's not guraranteed!
Stayed at the Tulsa International airport Hilton on February 28th. The reason I like staying there is their free shuttle and proximity to the airport terminal. My flight came in at 9:30, called for the shuttle, but it was not available. I had to pay a taxi $20 to go a quarter of a mile or so. I've used the shuttle in the past with no problems. Now I'm told there is no guarantee that the shuttle will be available. It lists shuttle on the website, with no mention of limited availability. There is no other reason that makes staying at that location worthwhile. Nothing is close except the airport. The remote control, didn't work and lamp didn't have bulb. My complaints were met with little concern. I'll never stay there or for that matter, any Hilton in the future.
