Bought a car here and noticed a £50 pump was missing. I have an email chain spanning nearly 4 months where they repeatedly promised to send one, then agreed to pay for one, and finally asked me to send a copy invoice so they could reimburse me. I sent the invoice, and now they have gone completely silent. Shocking aftersales service. Safe to say I won't be back if they break written promises over £50

Unfortunately, despite HCS responding to my review stating that the bodywork payment had been “raised promptly” and that supporting documentation was being awaited, this does not reflect what happened.
I had already supplied the requested invoice and received no acknowledgement, request for further information or payment. I also received no response to my subsequent attempts to obtain an update.
I am particularly disappointed that HCS's public response gives the impression that the payment was dealt with promptly and that they were waiting for documentation, when I had already supplied the invoice and was still waiting for any response.
I have retained the relevant correspondence and invoice.
This is disappointing because I had hoped the matter could be resolved straightforwardly without having to pursue it further. I’m still out of pocket despite numerous promises

Following your contact regarding the missing pump and bodywork, our team reviewed both matters and, while the bodywork was considered general wear and tear, we were pleased to authorise it as a goodwill gesture with payment raised promptly. In relation to the pump, we initially sought to arrange a replacement directly but unfortunately experienced difficulties sourcing one, so we offered for you to purchase a replacement locally and provide the invoice for reimbursement. The required supporting documentation is currently being awaited, and once received, the reimbursement will be processed promptly. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and remain committed to providing a positive and supportive customer experience.
