Stranger Things mystery box never arrived

Ordered the Stranger Things mystery box one month ago and have received no shipping updates and no delivery, no follow up at all. Should've known it was just an Instagram ad scam.

When I go to their "Contact Us" page, it gives an EXAMPLE email address as if the page was never properly set up. It offers a live chat that you can't find anywhere.

AVOID

AVOID. I think this could be a scam website. I ordered some Sonny Angels on the 26th of February and they still haven't been shipped (it's 10th of April now). Every time I email them to check, I get a similar reply which tells me to wait. So far, nothing.

DO NOT ORDER from this website.

SCAM! Fake product, false advertising & illegal practices

I ordered a Smiski figure from this store, and after waiting an entire month, I received a FAKE product. I compared it to a real Smiski, and the differences are undeniable:

❌ The material is cheap and nothing like an authentic Smiski.
❌ There are visible manufacturing defects that should not exist.
❌ The box arrived OPEN, which is completely unacceptable.
❌ And the WORST part? It doesn’t even glow in the dark! A real Smiski is supposed to glow—that’s its whole purpose.

At first, they told me the delay was because they had "too many orders." If that’s the case, organize yourselves better! The original shipping estimate was 5 days, but I ended up waiting a full month for a fake product. Absolutely unacceptable.

To make things worse, when I contacted customer service, they asked me to send proof. But once I tried, my emails wouldn't go through. Instead of offering a real solution, they completely ignored me. This is nothing but a scam to take customers' money while avoiding any accountability.

⚠️ Selling counterfeit goods is illegal and considered fraud in many countries. This store is violating consumer protection laws by engaging in false advertising and misleading customers. If they refuse to take responsibility, I will not hesitate to report them to the appropriate authorities.

I strongly advise against buying from this store. If you want a real Smiski and an honest seller, go somewhere else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!FAKE ITEMS!!!

Customer service was fast and response when asking when my order would be shipped, however when the items were finally delivered, the items were fake. For reference, I ordered 3 smiski blind boxes and all three were fake with their heads being detachable and the material clearly different to that of a real smiski.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE - FAKE PRODUCTS AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I emailed them to ask where my items were, all the emails bounced back, so I put in a visa dispute with my bank.

1 month after the visa dispute, they emailed me saying they have now shipped my items.

3 months after I initially placed the order, it arrived and it’s is so clearly fake!!

Do not waste your time ordering from here!!

Worst service ever

Worst service ever - don't bother to order, because you probably won't ever get your order! We are waiting for order for over a month now! They insist it can not be cancelled at this stage; and on the other hand they don't ship it and ignore our emails ... don't waste your time or money on them

Deceptive Business Practices & Counterfeit Products

As other one-star reviewers have noted, the products sold by Hippers.co are not authentic despite their claim to sell "officially licensed Sonny Angel, Smiski, and Mofusand products, ensuring a genuine collectible experience." This misrepresentation misleads buyers—particularly those new to the community—into believing they are purchasing legitimate collectibles.

Beyond selling counterfeit goods, Hippers.co employs deceptive business practices that obstruct transparency and make it difficult for buyers to seek refunds or warn others:

● Inactive Social Media & Suppressed Customer Feedback
All official social media channels appear to be inactive, preventing buyers from leaving reviews or sharing experiences. This lack of transparency suggests an effort to silence customer concerns and avoid accountability.

● Restrictive & Unfair Refund Policy
Returns are only accepted in unopened condition within 30 days, meaning buyers cannot verify authenticity before requesting a refund.
Once a blind box is opened, the merchant refuses all returns, even if the product is counterfeit. Buyers are required to cover costly international return shipping to China, which discourages refund requests altogether.

While the website appears credible, the testimonials they showcase do not align with reviews on third-party platforms like Trustpilot, raising concerns about fabricated feedback. The lack of transparency, misleading advertising, and obstructive refund policy make this retailer highly unethical.

This site does not operate in good faith.

Fake products and won't reply to me

Fake products and won't reply to me

I've sent multiple emails, after they asked me to provide them with photos of my products being fake. I sent them the pictures, with hope they would be understanding, but they've been ignoring me ever since. I placed 2 orders. Spent over 100 dollars. They are fake, I'm so disappointed.

THIS IS A SCAM, READ REVIEW

Please look into it before purchasing. The products aren't authentic and are notorious for partially fulfilling orders. If it's too late, request a refund from your bank.

The website looked legit, has reviews on the website itself and also Instagram presence and the padlock, so I thought it would be safe.
19/02/25
I received the first part of my order; the other 2 parts had not yet been dispatched. I emailed and was reassured it would be with me within a week.
26/02/25
I emailed again after not receiving the rest of the order and promised again it would be with me within the week. I then sent an email requesting a refund; they said it was against their policy to do so.
I am a law student and am lucky to understand plenty about my consumer rights. I reiterated the relevent ones to them, they still refused. IT IS IMPORTANT HERE TO KNOW THAT POLICY IS NOT ABOVE LAW. THEREFORE, REGARDLESS OF POLICY, YOU ARE ENTITLED, LEGALLY, DUE TO THE CONSUMER RIGHTS ACT, TO A REFUND.
Anyway, so I've looked into their company some more. This scam is a terrible one, and I want to share with you who are reading this, how in-depth this scam is.
(copied from most recent email)
I am convinced you are running a scam website for the following reasons:
1. Your social media links do not work, yet you promote your Instagram page using ’supposed’ posts from your account. Interestingly, on search, your Instagram does not exist. Your Facebook link works but shows no posts and a limited amount of followers.
2. Your terms and conditions flag as AI-generated, when I looked into this, your texts follow the same patterns used in Chat GTP and Deep Seek. Furthermore, your terms and conditions have various spelling mistakes, such as ‘United Sates’ and ‘purschase’.
3. You argue that legal disputes will be resolved in the Courts of the United States; this leads a consumer to think this is where you operate. However, Yunexpress is a logistics service provider which operates from China, this would indicate that you are actually operating from China. Your Facebook address is 2 Charles St, RI 02904, USA. There is not a Hippers.Co operating here, however, there is Dreams USA Inc., which seems to manufacture Smiski and Sonny Angel products. This is a legitimate manufacturer for the USA branch of Sonnys Angels; they do not use Yunexpress and do not accept shipping to resellers or allow for bulk buys. Furthermore, these are the four locations addressed for Yunexpress, 17th Floor, Chuang Hui International Center, Bantian, Residential District, Banxuegang Avenue and Yongxiang Road Intersection, Longgang District and Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, P.R.China.
4. You have no clear company information and hold a vague “About Us” page; this does not make for an attractive trait for a real business to have. You have no phone number, no location for operation, things necessary for a business to be real.
5. Your website offers contradictory refund/ cancellation policies, ones which allow refunds but make it difficult or within terms and conditions to do so without demanding more money from consumers. This typically is against the law; as mentioned earlier, the law is above policy.
6. Your Trip Advisor review page does not reflect your actual reviews on the Trip Advisor rating and provides consumers with fake reviews.
7. You claim to sell authentic products, yet it is clear from experience that what you sell is not legitimate. The Smiskis are supposed to have a matte finish; mine is glossy. The eyes are also distorted.
8. The shop on your website does not exist; upon researching the location state of your shop, I came across the directory for the mall you stated.
Hippers does not and has never been located there or anywhere.
This is a business pretending to be a legitimate manufacturer of Sonny Angels, Smitskis etc, in the USA.
They are actually based in China, and the people shown in their video reviews are either paid actors or people working for their company. This is clear as on reverse image search nothing appears of them.
This business is breaking the law.
