They set prices they don't intend to honour. A popular game was recently set to a discounted price so of course naturally there was a lot of interest, but nearly every single order at the discounted price was cancelled 2 days later, citing stock issues. With the number of cancellations, it's clear they never intended to honour the price.

Failed to honour order, cancelling due to predictably high demand for a game on heavy promotion. They then had the audacity to blame the issue on 'deal sites' marketing the discount (who'd have thought?!).
Why on earth their online order 'system' doesn't simply respond to demand and stop taking further orders once the allocated stock has been depleted is questionable.

Would avoid. Multiple times this year this company has massively reduced a game and allowed thousands of orders to then go and cancel a week later. You’re then sent an email explaining they had so many units at the reduced price. Funny how the game is back on sale at a much higher price. Once maybe I would’ve given the benefit of doubt but repeatedly they clearly do it on purpose.

Hit now asking for further details, like we're all liars, their plan is that if further details aren't submitted the review is taken down by trustpilot after 3 days.

Every time they have a deal on, purchase and 24 hours later its a cancellation email citing stock issues, won't bother purchasing from in future

False price/stock advertising. Bought Jedi Survivor on their site on sale only to be told later that they've cancelled the order as they ran out of stock and 'couldn't turn off the option'.

Edit - recieved an responses saying they're a small company, clearly has been copied and pasted from other reviews/complaints. Also evident that they are repeat offenders on cancelling orders. Avoid at all costs.

I have had many problems with Hit (formerly Base) cancelling orders over the years, in this case Order Reference 698671841486 was also just cancelled for them seemingly having no stock. Stop advertising stock you cannot fulfill please! I now have to leave a bad review after it happening so often, it seems rebranding to Hit has not changed this Recurring problem.

Thanks to Hit. I ordered EA FC 24 on the 19th of September. After reading some reviews, i was impressed. The sent me an email that the money will be debited from my account only when the game was dispatched because it was due to be out tomorrow (29th of September). On 26, the payment was processed and was notified that the game was dispatched. It had been sent to Royal Mail from their dispatch. Today morning, around 11am, i received my disk on my door step. I was evenly surprised. I thought i was waiting for a release tomorrow. I'm so over the moon. I'm happy and I'm referring everyone to Hit, because all my friends are surprised how come i habe the game today. I have believed Hit, it was my first time ordering. This is my go everytime i want to buy games now! A 5 star 🌟 rating without doubt. Well done

Made a purchase for starfield limited edition. Got it earlier than expected. Good price. And got updated regularly on my order process.

Always the cheapest price on new releases and great, speedy service. I don't bother looking anywhere else for new games anymore. :)

I used to use them when they were Base.com and never had any issues, I'm happy to say the name change hasn't diminished their excellence in any way and I will be buying from them again :)

i placed an order for a PS5 game went to check the status of my order as i hadn't heard anything after a few days other than my order conformation email checked online and it says my order has been cancelled. i phoned up and was told i should have received an email informing me that my order had been cancelled as they do not have any stock of the item why advertise that you do then? and that my refund is being processed avoid this company

How are you lot rating this company high! What a complete joke. 2 out of 3 games late or no show. Had to fight to be refunded. Still waiting on a game from them which is late again! You release, that they take money from your bank account before your order is even confirmed that its been sent! And how bad is it when they send you an email and they confirm themselves, that they have a bad service history! What the hell! After this game arrives,if it arrives, that will be the last time I use this company. For a few £ saved it's not worth the hassle. Very poor managed company.
