Brought a BK5 folding bike a few months…
Brought a BK5 folding bike a few months ago and assembled it, now here is where all the problems started. The folding stem of the bike does not seems to have any sealant or cushioning in-between it. So when you rock forward and backward it has a creaking sounds as if metal is touching metal, this was also a hazard on the road, almost causing me to have an accident, It had come loose, from the terrain of the road. Also my left-pedal got broken from the just me pushing off in traffic. I don’t know what material HITWAY is using but it is not durable. I personally think that this make and model of the BK5 e-bike should go under quality control. Hit way also made me pay for my pedal, when my bike was still under warranty. Not happy

Very poor quality
I bought a bike, assembled it, already seemed like the display wasn’t new but okay, charged the battery untill full locked it on the bike but it won’t turn on.. didn’t even get to ride it and it’s already not working.. would like a refund
2 days later spoke to custumer setvice only through e-mail explained that the battery isn’t working, and they do not understand they want to send me a new display… this is ridiculous.

My card and phone was stolen in London a busy Oxford street , after going to my phone provider and getting a brand new phone with the same sim and having to go to the Apple Store to restore my iCloud. I later found a email from this shit bike company saying the bike has been delivered at address I don’t know, plus the person used all my information and my card details as my phone was unlocked at the time so they had access to my whole phone. After contacting”hitway”serval times with a crime references from the police they have stated they are unable to give me a refund because the order went through successfully . I will be taking them to civil court to fight for my rights and my money I did not spend. Avoid these shit bike sellers. Didn’t even want to give it a star. Customer service “winter “ is shit

Urgent response needed
I bought a bike for my dad 2 months ago and we are having issues now with power going to the back wheel. I have looked to try and contact you but there is only a live chat which takes 2 business days. This is urgent as my dad solely relies on his bike to get to work.

Bad quality and support is useless
The handlebar and the back wheel broke within 6 months.
The back wheel saga:
They do not let me take it to a shop to fix it sent me a completely irrelevant video of very different model. Furthermore they assume I have all the tools needed and when I ask what sizes I need they pretend like they do not understand the question and do not respond to it. I have asked 4 times in 3 weeks about the size of the tools and
The first time, they ignored the question. Second time they referred me to the video which doesnt have the size of the tool. Third time with "yes, you need the tool". Forth time "we will let you know". It has been a week, no information.
Handlebar issue:
I sent them a video for my bike, explained the problem, sent them another youtube video that has the same problem but more visibility. They say that they cant see anything. I send more videos, more clearly and they say they cant see anything. They must be blind...

Please think twice before purchasing from this unlawful company , with no integrity nor care for the customer . I purchased a bike that arrived damaged and clearly I think had been returned as it looked used . On contacting them they told me I will have to pay £120 to return it and then they will deduct money for usage or damage . I have been back and forth numerous times to say that their own return policy states I can return free of charge for a full refund or replacement but they are refusing to follow their own policy . I am now going down the route of consumer law , ombudsman and citizens advice .
A Nightmare Experience with Hitway Electric Bikes – Save Yourself the Hassle
I had an awful experience purchasing an electric bike from Hitway. The bike arrived with broken parts, and I immediately requested a return. However, they insisted the return was due to "our reason," and as a result, they charged us £120 plus postage for the return. After nearly a month of frustrating back-and-forth emails, we reluctantly agreed to halve the cost—something I was still unhappy about, but the situation wasn’t going anywhere.
Even after returning the bike and providing a tracking number, they claimed they couldn’t locate the bike and therefore wouldn’t issue a refund. It took further effort on our part to contact the courier and provide additional evidence before they finally processed the refund.
This experience was absolutely terrible. I strongly recommend staying away from this company. I deeply regret purchasing such an expensive electric bike online and wouldn’t wish this ordeal on anyone else.
Thankfully, we purchased a Halfords electric bike afterward, and my son is now happily using it daily.

trying to return a faulty bike under "right to reject within 30 days" - as bike got puncture in first week and pedal assist is stuck at highest speed at week 3 - company is unlawfully saying it will cost me 295 in shipping and restocking fees.

The issue lies with the rear wheel design, where the motor cable cannot be disconnected, making tube replacement complicated without damaging the cable.
Initially, the seller declined my return request, citing the 30-day period had passed. However, upon providing proof of my initial contact within the return window, they agreed to accept the return on conditional that the will not cover postage costs and deducted £120+ from the refund.
I advise others to avoid purchasing from this company. While their bikes may seem affordable, the design flaws and lack of after-sales support can result in significant frustration. For peace of mind, consider investing in a reputable brand, even if it costs more, as repair accessibility and serviceability are crucial.
After visiting six repair shops, none were willing to handle the bike due to its unserviceable design. If repairs are impossible, the bike becomes unusable. Ensure you choose a brand known for quality and support to avoid such issues.

My daughter is in Netherlands and her bike that she purchased has motor issues. How does she contact for an emergency replacement? She has written an email stating it’s an emergency but has not received a response. She relies on the bike for everything! Can someone please reach out to her??
She continues to have several issues with the bike and is very upset with the investment of 700 euros spent on the bike which is now sitting in the garage!

Purchased the BK10s
Purchased the BK10s. Super powerful pick up. Very well built, bit like riding a motor bike with the 4inch tyres. I'm glad it's capped at 15.5mph as per EU regulations. Don't think it's safe to ride a motorised bike any quicker. Love the integrated battery, I get 25 miles all electric from a full charge which takes 5hours 30 minutes. Had issues with the handle bar moving out of line when holding the wheel with my legs. Maybe this is something due to the weight, as definitely made for off road in mind! Great customer service.

BK11 folding bike
Purchased a bk6s in May and really pleased with it, yes issues with tyres deflating, but keep pumping up and will replace shortly. Have now ordered a bk11 as the other half liked the bk6 but didn't want the lower bar. Ordered last Tuesday arrived 8 days later. Been put together and impressed. If only problem is same as mine with tyres, not an issue we will replace. Great value for money bikes. Excellent service. UPS delivered, great service all round. Would recommend
4 WEEKS NO REFUND
It’s been 4 weeks now and I still haven’t received my refund. I’ve escalated this issue with the bank and my lawyer because it doesn’t seem I’ll be getting this money back. I feel like they’re lying to me about where my parcel is and on top of it DHL which was the company that delivered it is keeping poor communication with me as well
