Using hmsa online was the best thing I did I went to emergency room twice and still they weren't able to help me I used my hmsa online and I'm feeling much better they gave me the proper medication antibiotics for the infection. It's so easy to do so easy to use. If you have a computer you have a laptop you have an Android or an iPhone Doctor is right there available for you if you're in hmsa member

Good stepping stone

It was a really interesting and different process. They ask you how you feel and what is wrong with you. Then they self diagnose you depending on what it sounds. If you believe it is something very seriously internally, using online care would be a good stepping stone to going to the actual doctors in person. Because of the fact that online care, of course, they cannot do any testing, they can only prescribe you medication and give you advice on how you could get better depending on their diagnosis. But of course again. They can only do so much.

HMSA's Online Care is a lifesaver!

HMSA's Online Care is an amazing benefit! I use it weekly to have sessions with my therapist. I don't have to sit in traffic during rush hour or worry about having enough cash for parking. I can have my session right from my lanai.

I have tried everything (with you and …

I have tried everything (with you and with my internet provider) to improve the quality of the video (and audio) so that I might have an un-interrupted appointment with my clients, but so far, nothing has worked. All other video-type transmissions (for example, apple face-time) work just fine, so I believe that the problem is with you and not with my internet carrier. On the other hand, I have heard that there have been problems for other providers when they work with patients on the Big Island (which is a shame, because we really need additional providers here).

I have only had the system fully work for maybe one out of the last 10 sessions (this is pretty typical). BTW, I have been on the other end (as a patient) also - and experienced the same problems.

I had a hard time finding a primary care doctor
who was available and taking patients. The one I currently have is not great. HMSA should make this process easier. Also, the lack of records coordination and communication among various doctor specialists is alarming. I much preferred my Kaiser HMO in this regard. Their records were all integrated, which made managing one's individual health care much easier.

HMSA's online care service is really convenient, fast and easy to use. It's great to be able to easily connect with a doctor from your home when you are ill, and don't feel like going out to visit a doctor's office. It's the best service that I have received from HMSA.

HMSA's online care has saved me hours …

HMSA's online care has saved me hours of time and also money by allowing me to deal with my asthma issues at home and online rather than having to go into the doctor (hard to get in quickly) or Urgent Care (long waits in germy waiting rooms). The doctors I have worked with are knowledgeable, helpful, and caring and the majority of the time, I can see someone within 10 minutes. They take the time to review my records and ask questions to make sure that they know my needs and concerns. Although most visits are quick, they make sure to answer any questions I have. The fact that there is no charge or co-pay for the visit is helpful too as I am self-employed and insurance is costly enough without paying for visits. It is my first choice for dealing with things that are non-emergency but can't wait for a visit with my primary care provider.

Super convenient

Super convenient. I have used this service several times and I love being able to connect so quickly. It has come in handy when I am not feeling well enough to make it to the office or for times that are outside normal business hours.

Smooth HMSA online …

I had a very smooth HMSA online experience. I was able to speak to a physician very quickly and discuss what I was experiencing. Discussing my symptoms gave me peace of mind versus adding stress to it.

Convenience, Quality

It was so easy and convenient, and the medical advice and prescription I received was spot-on. Don't know why I never used the service before, but it will probably be my first option in the future. Excellent!
