Excellent experience

Excellent experience. Communication was excellent, including the reminder. One of the small number of businesses that call back when they say they will, and take the trouble to review your account to know your preferences.
The pick up and return service is a big plus for me, and the drivers are a delight to deal with.

Service, professional, courteous and friendly

Again, a very professional and courteous service, First a reminder email to tell me to book my car in for a service, followed by a reminder phone call (the day the day before the service).
I drove my car to the garage, went to the service counter and the girl behind the service counter knew my name before I had even told her.
A text video was sent to my phone showing the checking process with the engineer explaining his findings.
On collection, again the lady behind the counter knew my name and gave me my keys and paperwork explaining each page to confirm what had been found at the service and any work that was advised.
Car had been cleaned and vacuumed,
Again a really happy customer!
I even saw a new car I liked as I walked back to my car, maybe next year!!

I recently purchased used Ford focus,Charles the salesman was very helpful and informative. Had a couple of small issues with the car which was quickly sorted and fixed The reception team was polite and helpful especially Katie who kept me informed of what was going on.

Another great experience from the…

Another great experience from the Hodson Ford Service Team. Car was booked in for MOT and service and a minor repair and everything was done smoothly and on time. Everyone is courteous and you can tell the technicians are dedicated to great customer experience by the way they conduct their video inspections. They always keep you up to speed on progress and nothing is too much trouble for them. Well done to all involved!

My first full service for my car with…Hodson Ford

My first full service for my car with Hodson Ford. Staff very welcoming on the telephone prior to the day and offered various ways to help get my car in and serviced. I chose for my car to be collected from my house and returned (same day) I loved this option, stress free!
My car was serviced, and I could see the service that was videoed. Very clear inspection and advisors discussed what they had changed e.g oil and adding of washer fluid.
A curtesy call made to myself later that day. Staff very polite and helpful. Thank-you Hodson Ford :-)

The best staff

Took my car in for assessment following an accident many months ago. Staff were excellent! Absolutely professional. They answered all my questions and put my mind at rest on all issues. I was even able to arrange a valuation on my vehicle, if I should wish to part exchange it against a newer model in the future. Simply wonderful. Would definitely recommend this garage.

Impressive service

Always impressed with the customer service received when my car has its annual service and MOT. Someone always collects my car in the morning and drops it back later in the afternoon after giving it a wash. There is never any pressure to have any additional work done and any findings are detailed in a written report. A nice touch is the link sent to enable you to view the checks being done.
Russ and all the contact team do a fabulous job.

This was the final warranty test before MOT

This was the final warranty test before my MOT. I asked at this service for my handbrake to be checked as both myself and a friend have had issues with our hanbrakes on the Ecosport. NOT holding and I have been leaving it in 1st gear. I asked for this to be checked on the service and it was a whopping £95. bringing my total bill to £323. I will not be returning to Hodson Ford again in the future. I do so few miles and will now after the warranty be able to choose a non dealer ship garage at an affordable cost. Communications also got a bit muddled. I was viewing the service on line and then advisories were on the screen and my husband had agreed the handbrake check but the message that this work had been carried out did not come through on that screen so was left at needed to be done.Hopefully I will be able to test drive the car and the handbrake issue will be resolved.

Extremely good customer service

Extremely good customer service, care with vulnerable families still with ongoing pandemic. Considerate, good value, reliable, professional and honest service and MOT for both cars every time. One of the few businesses we interact with where people actually do their jobs professionally such is 'Great' Britain. Do not behave irresponsibly with regard to covid as pretty much every other business appears to. Thank you. Straightforward. Right first time.

My car broke down and was taken to…Hodson Ford

My car broke down and was taken to Hodson’s Ford by Ford assist. The Workshop controller Lucy, arranged for the diagnostic to be done to find out the fault. Lucy Kingscott kept me informed via email and phone with the prognosis. She informed me the cause was suspected vehicle was jumpstarted causing a spike in the transmission control module causing shift point data to be erased. She advised me of the cost to fix the problem which I authorised for the work to be carried out. Lucy kept me updated, above and beyond all my expectations and helped me get my car back on the road. Katy called to take payment and Lucy arranged for my car to be dropped off at home. I would like to thank Hodson’s Ford for all their help in getting my car repaired. I felt at ease and remained stress free as i had confidence that my car was in good hands with a reliable team of people who always take good care of my vehicle and bring it back all cleaned too. I would also like to mention Russell who collects my car whenever it is serviced and drops it off at home. He’s always courteous and nothing is too much for him. The service I have received from Hodson’s Ford is excellent and the staff are always friendly, helpful and keep you informed.

Don't trust Hodson.

You would like to think you can trust a dealership with a name like "Ford" But, believe me this shower are just the worst hiding behind that badge, and you need to run while you can. I had my service plan here so did the other half (emphasis on the "did") who will also be leaving a review soon and what we have discovered will make your toe's curl.
We both have Focus ST's, we trusted Hodson being a ford dealer with our cars. It's only because of her Service that took place on Jan 24th I/we had reason to scrutinise things. I can honestly say everything I mention here can be backed up. I had 2 sevices over 2 years on my car and decided to go through my paperwork in detail especially after the trick they pulled on my missus, swapping out her front tyres for old part worn's, completely different models, but same brand as our receipts would prove. Only for them to claim they needed replacing for £189 each on her service and the brake disc's and pads labelled in amber for future cost's of £800 as these were at a minimum. (car has only done 28k) She's not doing track days for gawds sake. (an interesting fact about Ford is they are not allowed to go near tyres for the mobility Service, you must go to Kwik-Fit) I wonder why that is? But thats to be explained on her review. So looking through my paperwork they claim that my car "only having travelled 2.1k in a single year" used 1.2mm of brake disc to 1mm of brake pad - How is this even possible? This was repeated all round and looking at the vids they send you and it's clear from the Amazon brake disc tool they use it's not a professional set up. So how can they tell me in a service that I'm paying handsomely for what the true sizes are on my car, they don't remove the caliper as thats the only way you get a true reading, the vid shows a (-) in the figure so that proves that the scale has been zero'd out of scope and adjusted to show you what they want you to see and these are guesstimated, the tyre measurement gauge is never reset to zero in the vids and they show nearly 1.5 mm less than the tyre actually has at that point, so how do we know and trust they are changing the oil and filters etc? we asked for a (SAR) to view the cctv of the service on her car and they ignored our request. They seem focused on planting fake stories and excuses while calling us liars to cover their own misgiving's after they had been caught out. They plant seeds of doubt on all chargable parts and this is just wrong. My car had travelled 17k from new at the first service with Hodson and the service shows my brake discs @ 24.70mm, they are (25mm New.) So I have used 0.3mm of disc in 17k. On my last service I have used 1.2mm of brake disc in 2.1k?
I'm not paying for B/S, I'm paying for a service and I expect that to be honest, but after what we have been through with these people over the last month it would make you wonder why they are in business. When we approached them all we got was a few snotty letters virtually accusing us of "your lying, your making things up, we don't do anything like that, we don't want your business, so cancel your plans and take your custom somewhere else" What wonderful customer service they have, they even called the supplier of the new tyres to check what we had bought for the missus as they thought we were making this up! DO NOT USE HODSON unless you have deep pockets and suffer from extreme gullibility.
UPDATE: Hodson tried to have this review removed, truth hurts i guess. I proved my point to TP and now this review is Verified by TP.

Consistently excellent service

As a Hodson Ford customer for several years now, I am continually impressed be the level of service given.

I had my van taken in for a service and Mot, taking advantage of the complimentary collect-and-deliver service that they are happy to offer. The van came back with a clean bill of health and the service team had evens rectified the engine management issue that has been intermittently plaguing the issue since new (not bad for a Ford dealer working on a VW van!) without asking.

As an independent trader myself, I can appreciate how important it is to consistently go above and beyond to keep your loyal customers happy

First class service as usual

Ford CMax was collected on schedule and within a couple of hours I'd received a video link going through issues with the vehicle. A service representative called me and we discussed the way forward. The work was completed and I paid over the phone and in due course my CMax was returned. 100% happy with Hodsons and the Ford CMax. The only issue over the last 12 months has been an annoying squeak from the gearstick when changing up and down. This was identified and the problem resolved
