This is the most unjust company on the market. I took a tour with them and only should have been for 90 minutes as it turn into over 5 hours. They promise me I could go anywhere in the USA and use my points. This was the biggest lie out there as I don't have places in 42 states. The man promised me I could give you my points in New York City,San Francisco,Chicago, Hawaii as he told me he had been to all of these places using his points. One lie after another. I told them 3 times I didn't want to buy this deal and I was misled and pressured into buying it. I sent them a letter demanding they cancel this crap and not turned me into the credit bureau and they did never. I am a senior citizen and didn't need this crap and the stress they put me through. Please stay away from these con artist and high pressure sells tackets.

We were pressured into purchasing…

We were pressured into purchasing points timeshare on a "free" 3 day trip to a Holiday Inn Vacations property in 2019. The only obligation was to attend a 2 hour presentation. The presentation went 7 hours when it ended at that time we were pressured into buying. We went on one trip that year using our points and have paid the maintenance fees for 5 consecutive years even during Covid and we have not used our points since. We called and tried to get out of it but was told we can't. I received a threatening letter today regarding outstanding maintenance fees. Just got of the phone with Zavier at head office in Orlando who now says if we pay the outstanding fees we can give it back to them. We have asked this every year since 2020. We have not visited or have any intention on every going to any of the IHG facilities or any RCI facilities again. Buyer Beware.

Don't Fall For It!!!!!

My experience with Holiday Inn Club Vacations has been nothing but disappointing. I was promised flexibility and convenience when using this timeshare, but that has not been the case. It has been extremely difficult to book the weeks and the actual locations I have wanted. I feel that I was completely taken advantage of by Holiday Inn Club Vacations, and I now feel trapped in this. I was told the maintenance and club fees would never increase, but they have, and continue to rise, which causes even more of a financial burden. I have reached out for help from representatives at Holiday Inn Club Vacations regarding my issues because I want to be let out of this lie, they sold me. I am met with nothing but pushy and unhelpful sales pitches instead of the genuine help that I am looking for. I would not recommend anyone get involved and fall for this trap!

Holiday Inn Club Vacations is a HUGE RIP OFF !!!!

I accepted a vacation July of 2024, to Cocoa Beach Fl. This required me to go to a "2hr"presentation which stretched into almost 3 hours! I said I was not interested several times but then he says oh we have this really inexpensive deal for you. Really low payment its a one bedroom, large with living room 2 bathrooms etc. You can virtually go on vacation to any of our destinations here in the US or abroad. Just think its like a free vacation and you can save all this money. I have not once been able to Book a Vacation with my timeshare they are always full no matter what time of the year. I have taken one Vacation with the RCI vacation part of the deal which of course cost more than my booking with my timeshare would cost. But again the Timeshare is never available. Steer clear of these people, they are a total RIP OFF. I did a refi on my house to pay them off. Also every year they charge a maintenance fee and a club fee the maintenance being $360 and the club fee I believe is $160 in addition to the Timeshare Payment for the privilege of owning something you can never use! I feel like I am paying maintenance on what a property I never get to use as well. I wish I knew what I know now but all I can say if they hook you into this so called "Deal" beware!
When I tried to leave the presentation, that was supposed to be 2 hrs, I would have to pay full price for the vacation and I would not get my "Gift Card" so there's that as well. Now that I have it paid off I definitely will look for an attorney or others that have gotten scammed by them for a Class Action Lawsuit this is the worst company and just a big Rip Off.

I am a Holiday Inn Club member and it…

I am a Holiday Inn Club member and it is the worst decision I have ever made in life. Whatever you do don't fall for the pushy sales people lying to you about how easy it is to book with Holiday and Vacation Club The Truth is it takes 10 months to at least a year to book most of their locations unless you are okay with going to Florida for the rest of your life. Not that Florida is a bad place but it is their largest hotel and it is the only one available on a average reservation time frame. Once they force you to sign that contract it is no turning back once you have committed to all the lies and hard pressure sales tactics. Their customer service department will tell you the truth that it takes a long time to book popular destinations but there is no getting out of contact. They will do nothing to help you get what you think you are getting when you sign up for Holiday Vacation Club.it will cost you thousands of dollars for the rest of your life. I'm warning it's a horrible decision unless you just love giving your money to Holiday Inn.

Don’t fall for this scam

Don’t fall for this scam. We’ve been owners for 25 years and finally paid our loan off in full, but the "fees" never end. It’s a total money pit. Even when you don’t owe a dime on the balance, they find new ways to squeeze you for cash. The maintenance fees have gone through the roof, and the company couldn't care less. When we asked for a way out, their only "help" was telling us to sell it ourselves or pay them EVEN MORE money for an exit fee. It’s a joke.
This place is just a huge, expensive headache. Save your money and stay far away. Once they have your signature, they never let you go.

False Claims / Completely Dissatisfied w/ Holiday Inn Club Vacations

I am writing to file a formal and urgent complaint against Holiday Inn Club Vacations. The timeshare was purchased under false pretenses and consistent misrepresentation.

The sales presentation was fraudulent, as everything stated was a lie. Crucially, I was never informed about the Annual Maintenance Fees, nor that they would increase yearly. I was promised 60,000 points and easy booking, which is demonstrably false. When I attempted to reserve, a representative mocked me due to the limited points I hold.

The process was characterized by aggressive sales tactics, fast talking, and refusal to allow me to ask questions. After the purchase, the salesperson's personal number became useless, as they never answered. An "update" meeting only resulted in a high-pressure attempt to force an upgrade.

My explicit demand is that this timeshare contract is not passed on to my children. I was sold this product under fraudulent circumstances and demand immediate action to resolve this matter. I just simply want to cancel this contract, but they are refusing. I recommend NEVER getting a timeshare!

Holiday Inn will not help us

We have been trying to close our timeshare account with Holiday Inn for quite some time now. In October, we tried to go through their “Horizons” process; however, they told us we only had until November 1st to start it, or else we’d be responsible for the entirety of the next year’s maintenance fees. We tried to start the process on time, but they told us we had a week banked with RCI, and we “had” to get it resolved first, which took conveniently just enough time for us to pass the November 1st deadline. It is ridiculous to start charging us two months in advance for something that would become due on January 1st–and not only that, but for something we would never be using again. We were even open to paying their paperwork fee of $1,200. That’s a lot of money already, but Holiday seems to want even more. Do not do business with Holiday Inn Club Vacations. They really only want to scam you out of more and more money wherever and whenever they can.

Timeshare offers no way out

am writing to express my severe dissatisfaction with my timeshare ownership at Holiday Inn Club Vacations / Orange Lake. My primary goal is to cancel this contract, but the company is unwilling to provide an exit solution, despite my current financial distress.

As a person on a fixed income, the financial burden is now unsustainable. The annual maintenance fees have increased drastically from an estimated $900 to $2,800, severely impacting my ability to afford other necessities. I still owe an estimated $15,000, though my mortgage and maintenance payments are currently up to date.

The timeshare is no longer being used, and my adopted children and two grandkids have no interest in inheriting this obligation. I attempted to exit approximately two years ago by attending seminars, which proved to be unhelpful and misleading.

I urgently request a full resolution that allows me to cancel this contract and be relieved of all future financial obligations and escalating fees.

Thank you for your time and assistance in reviewing this complaint.

low availability and high costs

The current availability is significantly below what was initially promised, and the associated fees have become excessive. Consequently, we wish to close our account immediately to stop incurring further charges.

Holiday Inn has been completely lying to me

Holiday Inn has been completely unhelfpul. I’ve been trying to exit my timeshare agreement for two years now, but they insist the only way I can do so is by paying it off and transferring it to someone else. I was originally told I could rent it out, that it’d be a wonderful investment, and it would give me cheap and affordable vacations–none of it was true. They use a point system to book holiday Inn nights at nice hotels not to only get a few nights for thousands of points. Plus the yearly maintenance fee (which I was assured wouldn’t increase) has doubled. They only have an interest in getting their money. I need this cancelled and refunded immediately.

I urge you to not buy into the HICV system…

I urge you to not buy into the HICV system. We bought 100k points 5 years ago ( and have consistent and perpetual difficulties using them. They reserve a significant portion of their capacity for other systems to access their inventory (i.e., RCI, Interval, IHG), so while there may be capacity through other systems, we've found it very difficult to find inventory allocated to the points trust system. Furthermore, any time we've gone to Orange Lake (our preference), half the time it's been through our RCI points, then the sales team over-promises, mis-represents facts, and presses for the purchase of even more points. So, do NOT buy. Yes, go to their properties...they're very nice. But, do it through renting through other systems, renting from HICV directly, or from a current owner.

We reached out through their Horizons website, and they are just ignoring us. They only want to try and upsell us on something or get payment. They won’t let us close our account.
