Beautiful Peaceful location
Beautiful Peaceful location, close to the river and on its own island surrounded by trees, "idyllic", The warm welcome from Eliane and Richard. Eliane had made us a local Galette which was delicious, gave us a bottle of wine which was lovely, Thank you Eliane. They were also very helpful with getting the heating working for us (the air conditioning units were set to cool, after the summer), as weather wasn't very good at the start of our stay and it was quite cold. The gite was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. It is only a few minutes drive to Ruffec with good supermarkets, restaurants and shops etc and close to Verteuil Sur Charente (beautiful Village again with great restaurants), Once the weather improved We were able to use the boat to row down he river which was lovely in the evening sun. We highly recommend this Gite and will definitely be returning. Thank you again Eliane and Richard for making us so welcome Mark and Julie x

Sońia was lovely and really was I contact the entire time until we were settled inside the apartment 😍
Not even a sign she was frustrated when she helped me try to figure out the tax form ,she was so patient with me 😍
Even let us check in early as I got my flight times wrong and arrived earlier!
