Drawing from her own personal experience of divorce, her professional experience as a family lawyer and mediator, and latterly her more recent coaching training, Sushma has produced a readable, fresh take on divorce, for both professionals and the general public.

As the title suggests, it is quite an all encompassing approach to the genre that Sushma writes deftly about, including how to approach children's issues and property and finance division, and how to address emotions, changing relationships, communication and self care.

With a considerable emphasis on the underlying emotions individuals experience, and positive ways of addressing the more negative and potentially disruptive ones, this book will be a valuable resource for those considering or currently undergoing divorce or separation. It will will also be a helpful resource for family lawyers, marital and couple therapists, mediators and others connected to the family justice system.

Sushma Kotecha is an excellent, empathetic mediator who made what could have been a hideous experience relatively easy and straightforward.
I was particularly impressed by her understanding and empathy towards my uselessness at using technology and that she made reasonable adjustments to the way in which I sent documents to her to allow for that.

Sushma has unusual, perhaps unique experience in that as well as being a coach, she has practiced family law for many years, taking a holistic, non-adversarial approach and she also acts as a family mediator, so she can offer coaching from many perspectives.

I entered mediation not quite sure what to expect, Sushma was kind and reassuring throughout the process and very knowledgeable. She also understood that we were working on a budget and didn't have endless funds to put into mediation, she helped keep sessions to a minimum and made sure we prepared before hand to maximize our money. She provided a calm environment to discuss some difficult topics and instantly put me at ease, it was great to be able to do it remotely so that sessions could fit around work / family life.
