HomaDorma is a great platform for students and host family. Easy to use and good support from homadorma. Only thing I don't like is that they have to qualify both couples to have police clearance in order for them to give a "badge", and not just one of the couple. so you have to pay twice on that. Also even if you have showed police clearance from your local police , HomaDorma does not honor it and asking for more info that Police already stated cannot release and does not have info about it. waste of money to get local police clearance that homadorma will not accept.

We do require both the husband and wife to provide background checks in order to obtain the background check badge, since the clean background of one family member does not mean the clean backgrounds of both members. Everything has been great, with one exception.
This is my first time using this company. It has been a really great experience! Everything is streamlined and they walk you through everything
The only change I would make, is that the hours for the home tour were better. They are only available for a couple of hours during the day. I work, so I am not able to do it at that time.

Dont trust homdorma
Dont trust homdorma. Student books tour but as a homestay host, cannot send message to confirm tour. System does not allow sending of messages.
As a result, students lose tour fee since tour cannot be confirmed or accepted on the system by host family. Homadorma staff had already visited the home several years ago and photos uploaded on system.
However, homadorma freezes account for any sharing of contact information or any general questions asked as part of our own prescreening process. It has happened several times to me and both student lose homestay opportunity and homestay host lose on potential student.
Will be deleting my homestay account.

I'm not sure whether you did book the homestay tour on homadorma, as several statements are not true.
1. Student books tour but as a homestay host, cannot send message to confirm tour. System does not allow sending of messages.
- All homestay hosts and students could send messages on homadorma. Hosts that have not received staff interview badges can send up to 5 messages on homadorma. After that, the host can get the staff interview, which is free of charge, and then send unlimited number of messages on homadrma.
2. However, homadorma freezes account for any sharing of contact information or any general questions asked as part of our own prescreening process.
- We do not freeze host or student accounts for sharing contact information after the homestay tour is booked on homadorma. This is not true.

It was a very quick and smooth transaction that day. It seems that she needs a place to stay and when she asked about the cleanliness I told her that my wife is very strict about it.
My experience with homadorma was amazing, the paperwork was so quick and transparent.

Tours is a scam
Guys, the tour payment is a scam, so be really careful about it. They ask you to pay for a tour, and some of the hosts don't agree to the terms they already agreed in the chat, and you will be left without a place to stay, and the website profits $400 for doing nothing for you. It's a scam, so be careful.
They don't have a phone number and the only option you can contact them is via email, which in my opinion is not good, but to be fair, It's not a terrible experience.

Homestay tour is a service purchased by thousands of students every year. It gives students an option to tour unlimited number of homestays on homadorma that invite them to book. Homestay tour is a good option when you are interested in a number of homestays on homadorma to choose from, and you want to pick the best one by touring every one of them.
However, homestay tour may not be a good option if there is only one homestay you are interested in on homadorma. After all, touring a homestay is not booking a homestay. There is no obligation that the host must reserve the room for the student when the student purchases the homestay tour. Hosts have rights not to accept a student after the student finishes a tour. The tour payment can be turnedin to a credit when the student books any homestay on homadorma.

communication could be better
I have had a good experience for the most part as a Host, but its too bad there is not anyone you can speak with (other than email) when issues arise. I did not like the delay in trying to communicate by email. Also it did not seem user friendly at all for the Student I was hosting- we figured it out in the end, but I felt bad for student

Find our student within 3 weeks !
A very reliable platform for both international students and hosts. They gave me a detailed interview before listing my home on their website for the safe of the students. And after getting approved we were able to review all the students’ information without paying any fee. Also they kept sending information of the students according to our request.
In addition, the terms of renting contract is thoughtful and secured for both parties. I hereby highly recommend Homadorma to everyone in need.
