Cogeco offers excellent products... until they don't. When a service interruption occurs they put a customer through a process I call criminal. A toll-free phone number leads to a looping tired recording about how call volumes are higher than normal and repeatedly steer you to chat with "Sam" an AI chatbot. After an hour on hold I caved to Sam and eventually was connected to an agent whose online response times strongly suggest he was overseas although Cogeco indicated he was in Montreal. If I could rate Cogeco sub-zero on customer service I would, totally deplorable.

Exceptional company..seamless service that is high speed. Customer service is better than any company I have ever dealt with. Every staff is respectful kind and patient as well as highly knowedgable. I will always have Cogeco has my provider!!!

Normally, I do not talk to people who come door-to-door to solicit for their company. However, the young woman who came to our door today for Cogeco was different and exceptional. Her first name was BARRA. While Young she had a maturity beyond her years a politeness that comes from being raised well and an intelligence that is innate. As such, we made the decision to do business with Cogeco.

Used for 20 days. Speed was good and close to the 1 Gbps plan.
However, after recent maintenance, the network became unstable. Frequent drops started from the third day, and today it was almost completely down (only ~2 hours of uptime).
Customer support is very poor—no proper weekend support, slow chat with long wait times, and phone support doesn’t connect.
Overall: Good speed when it works, but highly unreliable. Not recommended, especially for work-from-home users.

We arrived at our new home on moving day (yes, we had both someone over 18 AND our landlord to greet them before we arrived), and we trusted the company. Because it's Cogeco.
Wrong move.
The next day, none of us could log onto the internet. So I called Cogeco and it turns out they'd put the modem at the other side of the building in the basement. So random, considering our upstairs neighbour had a modem in her apartment and Cogeco Internet (though she did get in touch the next day to say her Cogeco services were down, but that as apparently unrelated). We've got several neighbors serviced by Cogeco.
I explained to Cogeco that I'd started a new remote job, and I needed Internet. They didn't care. Then I explained that I had a 4-day NLP online training this weekend I was going to miss.
They didn't care.
So, here we are on day 4 of no Internet after booking our services properly through Cogeco :) We've got another couple of days to go :0
Can you imagine? It's 2026.
I've got srs business going on in my life, and I know I'm not alone. I would never again trust Cogeco with the Internet services I need to carry on that business.
Cogeco says that our unit isn't equipped for their Internet, but we've got neighbors who have been using their service for more than 2 years.
Also, there's a modem in our laundry room(In the apartment) from days gone by, so yes, you can put a modem right in our apartment.
It's unfortunate that the information being given to us is so mixed up. It's even more important that they've chosen to lie to use on multiple occasion and that we won't have Internet anytime soon.

Garbage company. Cut my services out early cause they assumed I wasn't going to pay my bill over the weekend . So when I paid my balance in full before the date my services were already cut. Customer service was rude and said it didn't matter if I switched because they own all the lines in the area so whoever i went to they lease the lines of them. They price gouge you cause they can. Then when they realized my balance was paid they said they couldn't turn them back on till after the weekend cause no one services the area over the weekend. Absolute garbage company.

Well, I was initially reluctant to change Internet service providers, the representative from Cogeco, who came to the house, made a lot of sense and proved on paper that I could save $20 a month for my Internet service. He was extremely informative and professional, and answered all of my questions. The installation was very easy and can be done by anyone who can read simple instructions. The download speed that I am experiencing with Cogeco right now is actually faster than what I would have expected it to be. All in all it has been an excellent experience and I’m glad I made the change as I will save over $200 per year.

If you call them it is only about 20 hoops you jump through. Promised service 3 times failed all 3. Agents more interested in what they have to say then your issue. A really terrible company.

Everything No internet, no TV and no phone. Replaced modem still no service. Cogeco ran in a new cable, still no service. Modem goes down every two days and has to be rebooted. This is the worst cable company and service I have ever dealt with. For your own sanity DO NOT! Do Not! Do Not! sign up for any of their services.
