Very disappointed
Very disappointed. They didn't pitch up for the appointment that they made with me. I had to go out but was back 5 minutes before the appointment time but no one came and no one has called me to reschedule.

The cold caller caught me off guard and…
The cold caller caught me off guard and I agreed to the appointment without thinking about it. I did ask how long the visit would last and was told an hour. It was only after the caller had gone I realised I was allowing someone not in my bubble into my house. I tried to call to cancel but had to go online as there is no contact number on the leaflet. No answer to my call, in fact was cut off so sent an email cancelling - rep turned up anyway and looked unamused when I explained why I would not be taking up the survey offer. Should the cold calling be taking place in these covid times? If the rep had visited 3 homes before mine wasn't he breaking restrictions?
Not happy
Please stop cold calling during Covid
Please stop cold calling during Covid. You are putting everyone at risk. Not to mention I have two signs on my door saying not to canvas. You are breaching Police and Trading standards. Not to mention boiler sales is most certainly not essential travel. Not to mention the guy clearly had a cold.
Massively overpriced. This is a sales pitch - not a survey
After a door to door visit, I felt as though I was engaging in a gov backed initiative to install a more efficient boiler. The salesman the next day was polite, but a salesman. This wasn't a survey. It was a sales pitch - in my own home.
Worse still, this sales pitch was pushing me towards a hugely inflated priced boiler. £6600, regardless of payment installments is outright criminal. These boilers are not the best. After 10 mins of research after my appointment, I found an installer offering the best Worcester boiler plus fitting, and a 10year gaurentee for less than £2500.
This company needs to be investigated. I feel that they are not offering accurate advice.
Professional and Competitive
Recently used their service and was very happy. Professional work at competitive prices. Will recommend to everyone.
Canvassing without masks
Canvassing without masks. Targeting the elderly. Careless, dangerous and predatory
We had someone at our door and…
We had someone at our door and introduced himself as being from Home Efficiency Surveys. The initial idea of saving money sounded good. We said we won't mind listening to what they have to say. They booked an appointment for the very next day for 12:00. On the day, I had a call and they asked if is OK to come earlier? I said, no as we have other things to do. They said OK, however, 3 minutes later the engineer turned up... Never mind, have a chat. Our gas boiler is 17 years old so it could do with an upgrade.
The engineer told us they can improve our system and they would do a proper clean and change the boiler. The engineer always said he is basically from Zanussi and the boiler would be a Zanussi one (Ultra Combi 30KW). which is a re-branded Ideal Logic+ 30KW. That boiler cost less than £1000 including VAT (obviously you have to add installation cost + other bits on the top of that).
Home Efficiency Surveys said they would clean our system properly and add a main smart thermostat + smart thermostat to each radiator in their price. The 5K cash or 6.6K paid in installment sounded far too expensive for what they offer. They would give us 10 years free full warranty too but still, we feel this would worth a lot less than what their 5K price was. (or the option as 6.6K paid in installments over 10 years)
The engineer was a nice guy but he said his offer is only valid as long as he is at ours so I felt it is a bit pushy.
The whole thing happened in less than 24hrs so they made sure you got limited time to do your research etc.
I did my research since and would not use Home Efficiency Surveys for sure.
Unable to answer questions in a phone call.
I was told that I could have a new boiler and it would save me money and not cost anything to install. The guy on the phone could not explain how they can run a business installing boilers and no extra cost to me. When I pushed more question they just cancelled my appointment. It seems that the only person that can answer the question is a sales man that has to visit your home. This is breaking the lock down rules.
Why are you staff cold calling my home…
Why are you staff cold calling my home in the middle of a lockdown. Are you stupid. They could be asymptomatic and the ones responsible for the increase in cases in Northamptonshire. Bunch of morons!
Edit in response to reply.
Cold calls sales are NOT an essential service. And your salesperson was not wearing any face covering or keeping the required distance from the door when I answered. So not following the government guidelines at all. Think I will refer this to authorities in light of your very untruthful response. Very poor show all round.

Thanks HES
HES knocked on my door to offer me a free survey, I was paying too much on my energy bills and I was able to replace my old boiler and save some money at the same time, In days Zanussi came round and fitted a new boiler, just in time for the cold snap, Thanks HES and Zanussi.
Great experience
Really pleased with the service I received for my father from HES & Zanussi. I spoke to Dave at my dads door on the Monday and he explained the process and the surveyor came from Zanussi on the Tuesday to run through everything available to me and the new heating system installed on the Thursday. The turnaround was great and much appreciated. I had my own boiler updated by you guys and its been great since. My dad is a Happy Chappy before xmas.
Lied to me about free boiler!
John from HES knocked at my door - told me that I am entitled to FREE NEW BOILER if my old boiler is older than 7 years and if I am a homeowner. I told I am not on benefits and I am not entitled to any free boilers from schemes. He kept saying that I am entitled (as my boiler is older than 7 years) and most likely will get a new free boiler. Could not get any information from him as he tried to escape questions - only wanted my details and phone number. Obviously after providing number - got a call from a lady in the office and I was right - there is no free boiler as I am not on benefits - all that they want is you to buy a new boiler for double price from them...

We had a boiler fitted 12/11/2020 after a few days the water pressure kept falling on inspection we noticed a leak from one of pipes installed by the gas engineer We called the engineer several he fobbed us off saying he would call nothing We tried to call HES they’ve never sorted it out and now the leak is causing the wooden flooring in kitchen to lift ABSOLUTELY USELESS we are now having to look to pay for our own plumber to fix problem

Lied to me on their "specialist rates"…
Lied to me on their "specialist rates" it was uSwitch I could that myself. When they tried to transfer me they sent me to a different supplier which was more expensive than my current one. Also £5K for installation when it can be done for £2.5K

When 90% of your reviews for a UK based…
When 90% of your reviews for a UK based boiler company have been posted by people based in India you have to ask some questions. When these same people have 1 other review which is either for the website developer who published their site or a random restaurant in livingston you really have to question whether they are legit. Cold called my house, gave me a discount code for "shopping" with no description of how or where to use it. Not trustworthy at all.
Cold callers
Why on earth are cold callers out and about during a pandemic is beyond belief!
Five Star Service
My husband and I had been looking into buying a new boiler the last few weeks as our old one was getting on a bit, to say the least! As if by fate, a very helpful young chap called at our door and was able to arrange an appointment with an advisor for us. The advisor came to see us and after chatting about our system, we agreed that it was definitely time for us to replace our boiler. We were then offered a completely free brand new boiler that along with our new energy bill would save us £180 a year. We thought it was too good to be true, but we had our son who is an engineer, to look into it all for us and we were delighted to find that everything was above board.
We received a call after meeting with our advisor to arrange when we could have our new boiler fitted, and within a few days we had our fit. The chaps who came out to carry out the work did a very good job and even cleaned up after themselves!
It is not often we give such high praise regarding having work done around the house, but we have had our new boiler for over a month now and we have been delighted with the service HES have provided from start to finish.
Many thanks,
Marge & Richard
Absolutely Abhorrent sales practices
Absolutely Abhorrent sales practices, both their website and the salesman at the door claim they are able to replace your boiler at no extra monthly cost, offering a reward voucher of they are not able. They then proceeded to quote £42 per month higher than current and back track on the offer citing new staff and technicalities. If they come knocking it's not worth your time!
