With all the reports of orders being cancelled and not turning up it was refreshing that Home Fuels Direct kept their word and honoured the price made on the 3rd March and delivered on the 19th March.... See more

What do you do when, you order, pay for it, they say it's been delivered and it hasn't and a week later you still can't speak or get in touch with a single person. I'd call this theft! It's outrageous. You email, FB, message, nothing. I'll never use an oil company I can't simply pick up the phone too. WHERE IS MY OIL!

Watched the price in our area go up from 58p to 130p in our area over the last 2 weeks- understand there are issues in the Gulf, but why so quick to raise prices and not quick to reduce them, feels like you and other companies are taking advantage. You need a better strategy to smooth peaks and troughs in oil prices and better reserve management and delivery restrictions- at one point in the last week it was almost easier and as expensive to get diesel from my local garage than get your heating oil!!

I've searched several companies for a few days and HomeFuels prices are still the lowest. It is a stressful time for us customers, but I'm pleased to see their competitive prices and reasonable time of delivery.
Thank you

Ordered oil on February 23rd was ment to be delivered yesterday, zero communication from HFD, I have email HFD and certas no response from either, also tried to call certas on hold for 1 hour then cut off. Think twice about ordering via HFD

I placed my order on the 1st with the allocated delivery date on the 9th. No sight or sound of it. No update on their web dashboard since the 2nd. No contact number available on their website. No option to cancel. No reply to emails.
This should be a warning to anyone like me, who chose or are thinking of choosing this organisation over a local supplier which is marginally more expensive. Interestingly, said local supplier has held their pricing through these ‘unprecedented times’ and are offering to deliver as soon as we like. Too bad my money is tied up with HomeFuels Direct.
DO NOT USE

I ordered heating oil on 27 February, just before the start of the attack on Iran. It is being delivered today, on 11 March, at the original price although oil prices have risen drastically in that period. Our neighbours ordered oil on the same day but from a different supplier and had their order cancelled a few days later and were told they could order again but at double the price. Well done to HomeFuels Direct for showing integrity and looking after loyal customers. Thank you.

Our go to Home Fuel retailer. Best prices, prompt delivery period of 2 weeks given but we received our delivery in 8 days of ordering. Price quoted was what we paid. There were stories of other retailers cancelling individual orders of their customers then proffering their same product at vastly inflated prices because of Iran conflict. Yes prices have gone up everywhere but I was fortunate that I ordered at the right time. Delivery driver was friendly and considerate of our property when delivering…less than 5 minutes job done. Will buy via HFD in the future.

First order with home fuels direct. I had a text to let me know when my oil would be delivered, it never arrived but no email or text or anything to let me know. I’ve emailed twice since to find out what’s happening and when it will be delivered but not even the courtesy of a reply. So I’m £460 down and no oil (which is now running really low) and no idea when it will arrive. I would not order from them again.

Appreciate there are big issues going on at the moment but having accepted my order on 3rd March I haven’t heard anything since that date, nothing has been updated on their website site more of most annoyance is the fact they do not reply to any emails made through their website.
I would appreciate a message saying there is no news but their incompetence at even replying is staggering. And of course you cannot speak to an individual.
Useless and will not be using again.

A delivery of 500 lites of domestic heating oil was ordered and paid for but the delivery date they (and their head company, Certas) gave me was missed. After 3 days I rang to see when it would come. I was told the driver refused to deliver as the tank was covered by fire resistant boards. These boards were required by regulation when the tank was replaced about 7 years ago. No notice was given that an inspection was due for this (or any) delivery and this was the first delivery declined for that reason. This required a reorder after removal of the boards and of course price rise due to US-Iran war. Coincidence? Convenient excuse hiding profiteering? Seven years of previous deliveries without inspection required? If I hadn’t rung, when might I have found this out? At the very least: poor communication; delivery refusal without warning or even knocking on the door to tell me(I was in all day); lack of guidance on tank inspection requirements. Subsequently, it transpired that 5 other villagers were given excuses for refused delivery, by DIFFERENT companies it has to be said… clearly CABAL profiteering going on! DONT ASK FOR A REFUND AS THAT ENDS THE CONTRACT. INSIST ON THEM FULFILLING THE DELIVERY CONTRACT HAVING OVERCOME THEIR EXCUSE eg by removing the boards in the above case. You may be asked to email the company but mine was ignored when I did.

I ordered Oil on the 26th Feb, fully paid and confirmed my delivery on the 2nd March.
I emailed on the 6th asking if they could just simply confirm I will still get my order - no answer.
I called up on the 9th, multiple times to just be disconnected after waiting for 20 minutes on hold. I was finally greeted by the most sour person I have ever met. I know the current situation is causing a lot of calls and emails but I was patient and polite on my side so why can they not treat me the same? I'm not complaining, I know there's delays but I just want some transparency and updates.
Homefuels - please do not reply to this post with a generic message trying to save face asking for me to contact you with the postcode over email or phone because it's useless. You will not reply to my emails or answer my phone calls. I will change this review one I know my oil has been delivered.
EDIT:
I got my delivery finally. I have updated my rating from 1 star to 3. Although I am very pleased my delivery was fulfilled, and was not cancelled or forced to be re-ordered, I do think the customer service was atrocious. It has unfortunately mademe rethink if in the future saving a few quid is worth it rather than going direct to a supplier where customer service is guranteed.

NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. We ordered fuel from them 2 weeks ago. Told it would be delivered last Thursday 5th March but never arrived. Contacted them and was told lorry had broken down and would be delivered yesterday. Did not arrive so rang again to be told driver was sick and could not give a delivery date. So no oil and running very low. Tried to contact today but not answering so have no idea when we will get a delivery and can’t reorder elsewhere as they have our money. Disgusting way to treat customers would never use this company again. If could give them a minus star rating I would 😡😡
