With all the reports of orders being cancelled and not turning up it was refreshing that Home Fuels Direct kept their word and honoured the price made on the 3rd March and delivered on the 19th March.... See more

Ordered fuel on the 25th February, Money taken from my account and and got confirmation of my delivery date soon after (6th of March) but my fuel didn't turn up. I appreciate the current situation in the middle east but I have had no communication from HomeFuels at all, no response to emails/messages, no phone calls answered. This lack of communication has certainly increased an already anxious situation especially as I have 3 young children and my heating/hot water fuel running out.
And just to add to this, I am reading other reviews of people who have ordered fuel after I have ordered, (and if I was cynical, I would also say, who have ordered fuel at the higher price that I have) seem to have had no problem getting their fuel delivered. Very poor.
As an update to my review, I have since spoken with homefuels, and in fairness to them they informed me that they did tried to deliver the oil on the day it was supposed to arrive but a crack was discovered in my tank and therefore the oil could not be offloaded. I wasn't informed of this however until now (4 days later) i have made arrangements for my tank to be replaced. On one phone call I was told the oilnwould he held for one week but on another i was told it had been cancelled on discovery of the crack and that a refund had already been processed. So, communication is still poor but my issue is not entirety there fault either. I have therefore updated my rating from 1 to 3 starts. Now I need to find out how to leave a review of Donald Trump.

Home Fuels Direct posted on Facebook on Monday 2nd March saying “Please order as normal” so we did, this was at around 70p per litre.
I have just been online now to check the status of the order and it says it was cancelled on Thursday. No explanation, no apologies, nothing.
We now have to order else where for a significantly inflated price.
As a customer of 5 years, I expected a lot better from Homefuels.
Why except an order if you can't deliver? I would have ordered elsewhere on Monday if it couldn't have been fulfilled.
We actually need the fuel and not filling up because of what is helping in Iran.

Got told on the 4th that my oil would be delivered within 3days, still no delivery. They delivered oil to my dads house this morning who is a 1minute drive from me and ordered his oil a week after me, only difference is he paid double!

I’ve just completed another order with HomeFuels Direct and the service was excellent from start to finish. The online quote was quick and transparent, with competitive pricing and no hidden extras. Ordering was straightforward, and I received clear updates at each stage so I always knew when to expect delivery.
In a market where prices and service can vary a lot, HomeFuels Direct continue to stand out for their consistency, communication, and ease of use. I’ll definitely be using them again for my next fill.

So far so good - consistently cheaper than b*****juice - saving around £15 to £20 per 500l order. Previous deliveries have been prompt and reliable. I'm slightly concerned by so many recent reviews mentioning failure to deliver on time, so fingers crossed all will be well for my order placed on 1st March for delivery by the 13th. AD.

Appalling service. Delivery scheduled for 3rd March and didn’t arrive. Final date of delivery today and also didn’t arrive.
Promise of call backs never materialised in spite of assurances they would. Calls on hold and terminated after 20 minutes.
Difficult to avoid the conclusion they are holding onto fuel whilst the price is high.
Tried to call Certas who actually field calls for HFD but they refuse to deal with complaints about them and just put you through to HFD queue.
Will never use either company again - their senior management should take heed of the increasing negative reviews and the potential impact on their future business

After having probably 50 refills of my tank this company said they cannot refill the tank as it is painted it has been painted for many years and nobody has mentioned the fact it is painted. It seems strange that this has occured when the price has doubled since my order so maybee it is better for them to refund me than deliver at the lower rate. they are almost impossible to contact by phone.

I am still waiting for my heating oil. Ordered it on Thursday 26th Feb and told it would be delivered on Sat 28th Feb. I have been unable to contact anyone. Tried emailing and telephoning but they cut you off after 20 minutes of trying. Now we have run out of oil.

Ordered oil 19/1/26 with delivery date given as 3/2/26.
Didn't arrive, so chased. Told delivery postponed by a day because of 'delays'. Would be with us tomorrow (i.e. 4/2/26). Still no sign. Went into a cold , dark Feb weekend and wasn't delivered until 9/2/26, the Monday after.
By this time there had been no contact at all from Homefuels and the low oil level light had started flashing on the watchman. Felt obliged to find an emergency delivery from another company as we worried we would suddenly run out of oil. This cost £1531 for 500l, included emergency delivery fee of £620 and small lorry charge of £350. Oil was £350.
I sent a complaint by email on their 'ContactUs' button, and a separate request for reimbursement of cost of emergency delivery. No reply to either. Finally they emailed on Monday on the day the delivery was made, saying the delay was due to 'driver shortage'.
Homefuels really let us down with their terrible communication, with no idea when our oil would come, not replying to emails, and leaving us to find an alternative company to make an emergency delivery at a huge financial cost to ourselves. Beware!

Worst experience ever. I ordered and paid for 900 litres of heating oil on 19th February and told it would be with me within 10 working days; still waiting for delivery nearly three weeks later.
I called them last Thursday and was promised it would be prioritised. Despite promises, still nothing. I tried calling again at 8:59am today and told lines not yet opened. I called again immediately and went into a queue telling me to wait as my call was “important to you”!!!
I was cut off after 20 minutes waiting so called straight back. I was cut off again after waiting 20 minutes. I tried a third time and cut off again.
We now have no oil. I am 69 years old with a heart condition, so vulnerable, and this service is appalling.
My next door neighbour ordered her oil through Boilerjuice and her fuel was delivered by Certas within 5 days. How can that be when Certas own Homefuelsdirect!?
I am cold and have to rely on electric heaters as I cannot use my central heating.
What am I supposed to do? They don’t even have the courtesy to tell me when the oil will be delivered.

Came up trumps in the current climate, having oil available for my order today 9th. March at the best price I could find. MT

Reply from HomeFuels Direct
Order placed 22 Feb. Delivery promised by 6 March. Has not been delivered, no communication at all from HFD, several emails sent to them have been ignored. I have even emailed the Certas address which is often posted in HFD responses for customers to contact them, and that has not been replied to.
This is the second time I have ordered and received the same appalling service.
I know they are busy but my oil was ordered and paid for before the current crisis started. They obviously do not value customers. Avoid if you can.
