So far so good

So far so good! I haven’t been away yet so I can’t report on the host but the system works well.

Rosemary was lovely

Rosemary was lovely. So kind and helpful. The room was really clean, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. Rosemary made me feel so welcome and she went out of her way to be kind to me and my family.

Hassle-free service

I like how easy it is to make a reservation, especially the functionality of seeing the properties on the map as opposed to just having a property listing. Very user friendly web site.

Casa Particluar in Havana

Casa Particular in Havana
I booked a casa particular in Havana, Cuba, based on its location on the map provided by homestay.com. Once I booked and paid the hostal ended up being 2 km further down South in the middle of nowhere. I would not have booked that hostal if had known its true location. This is simply misleading information. The homestay website says that the booking fee is non-refundable, when I went to cancel.
Note: you only receive the exact address after you have paid.

I would not book again through this website.

I ended up cancelling my reservation with the owner and used another website to book a different accomodation in an area closer to the sea and the sights like I had initially planned.

The 10 Euro booking fee is gone for good though.

Hello Daniel.

Thanks for leaving your feedback.

We are a booking platform and the hosts themselves are responsible for what they publish on their profile, location included. After receiving your complaint we could verify that the location on the map was wrong, so we have changed it now and notified the host. Our Customer service has also replied immediately to your email, saying that your service fee would have been refunded and this has already been done. Please allow a few extra working days for the refunded amount to show up in your bank account.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. We hope that this experience will not discourage you from using our platform in the future.

Kind Regards
Homestay.com Team

Easy Booking

This was the first time I had found and used this site. I saw one that interested me and from there the process was smooth & easy. Contacted the host, who emailed back very promptly, and from there I proceeded to booking. The whole booking process was very easy and straightforward.
