Absolutely despicable with communication. One minute my issue is covered, the next minute it’s not covered. They claim they didn’t receive the proper documentation. Needless to say five days have passed without a resolution. And I have to be the one constantly calling them to get information and updates. And the reimbursement for my issue isn’t even worth it! I discouraged the use of this company!

Given approved name/ph# of contractor to do diagnosis & call. Contacted them - they don’t work with you guys.
So u gave another number, they said same thing. So cust Svc guy (Carlos) said I’ll need to find my own contractor and - good luck. This is a scam and will be reported to BBB, etc
Reply given to this message is not accurate regarding contractors. Neither have anything to do with this company. Beware.

Just got my “check” from home warranty claim. After being told they would send a $1500 check (after being told a whole ac unit needed to be replaced) they send was a whooping $450! Make that make sense! Proving more and more home warranty is nothing but scammers and crooks!

I bought a house. The people that sold it bought a home warranty through Home Warranty Inc, for a year. Last month, I started having AC issues. The gave me the number for an absolute horrible AC repair person. He was at my house for 3-5 minutes. Told me the freon was low. He wouldn't answer any of my questions. After 4 days of not hearing anything, i called another company. They did a proper inspection. The AC was not low on freon. Turned out the gas heater had a hole in it. The AC was clogged with dog hair from the people that last owned the house. I do not have any pets. Long story short, I had to get the system replace. $16840. Home warranty did absolute nothing. No help. Find another company. DO NOT USE Home Warranty Inc!!!!
What HomeWarranty wrote below is false. The freon was never topped up. The tech that you recommended, was here only once, for 5 minutes at the most. He never came back, as I told him it was not low, and that I had called someone else. He did a really bad job. Didn't check the whole AC. The other company I called, did a really thorough check. Told me honestly and exactly what was wrong and what I needed.

Just wish I could explain to the tech what was going for the whole issue with the A/C and the blower unit. Instead had to make 3 claims to solve the problem.

at first they told me everything would be put under one claim and that I would have a single deductible. Then they split the claims and would only cover 30% of the cost for the second part. When I called to tell them that I was told it both repairs were connected and that I was told that it would be one claim, Ron did everything possible to get me to say something that would disqualify the first approved claim from being covered. I told him I'm not the repair tech and don't know how to explain what happened. He then said that they don't cover subsequent repairs and that the second claim would be deleted completely. The second part was discovered a couple of hours after the first repair was made. How is this subsequent? Obviously both parts failed but it takes a while to notice the air is not cooling and to have the tech return. He can't just camp out at my house until the temperature drops. Before I could get the number of the second claim, he deleted it from the system without a trace. He claimed that the calls were transcribed and that at no one ever told me it would be one claim or that it would be covered which is not true. He claimed to be reading it and it was clear it was a summary, not what was actually said. He did not provide the transcripts or the contract which he states doesn't cover "outside lines" (which is not what was broken) or the second part that was needed to repair the initial breakdown. All he said is "that's just the way it is". The contract is not available for viewing anywhere in the portal either. The links take you in a loop. Why would they not make it available unless its to be able to interpret the language to their benefit. He also claimed that they tried to contact me and I didn't answer so that's why another company (of their choosing) was assigned to it even though I had somebody working on it. I was told my company is in network so that was not the issue either. He just wanted an excuse to not pay for anything. He can take my bad explanation of what happened as a reason to cancel a claim but will not honor the statement made by the other rep. If anything, he should have called the repair company for a proper explanation and adjusted the claim accordingly like the first lady had done. The claims department reached out and I accepted the resolution. However, I am leaving the review as is because all this still had to happen in order to achieve a fair outcome.

The whole process was fairly simple. At the end, once I submitted the paid invoice for the repairs I received the echeck very quickly.

The CS rep was extremely helpful and courteous. The claim was completed the next business day after being opened on a Sunday no less. Fix was completed quickly, no hoops to jump through regarding payment or otherwise. Easy process all the way around and pleased with current results.

I called and immediately I received notice that my claim was accepted and we called the air conditioning service the next morning and the tech was out by 10:30 am and diagnosed the problem and two hours later returned with the new board. The air was up and running by the afternoon. I am very greatful!
