Complained about being pestered by text, phone calls etc. Company replied that I had been unsubscribed and would no longer receive calls etc - this was in the last week of February but hey presto still receive another message on 02/03/2023 with a link to confirm interest etc. Very dodgy and dishonest practice - perhaps they think I am senile and will cave in. I won’t. Please get this simple message.

Had an appointment booked which suddenly got cancelled because I questioned how long it was going to take. I was told that my husband and I had to be in attendance otherwise they could not come around and then they insisted that the appointment lasted exactly 90 minutes. When I asked why I didn't really get an answer. Next thing I know is that I receive an email cancelling the appointment. All a bit odd.

A waste of time!!!!!
I received an email on 28/02/2023 from Honest Quotes and decided to follow up on the Solar Panels. The next day I received a phone call from EVERGEN SOLAR and decided to go ahead and get a quote. They booked me in for a home visit appt at 1300hrs on 02/03/2023. 1300hrs past and no sign of the EVERGEN SOLAR rep. I received a call at 1340hrs from a EVERGEN SOLAR rep who said he had tried to call, but left no message. (I was in the shower at the time) and he started to try and book me another appt which I turned down, if this is the sort of customer service, I'd be getting from EVERGEN SOLAR then there is no way I would use them to fit my panels or to recommend them to anyone else. What A WASTE OF TIME!!!!

1. Solar Panels with a larger wattage rating on them have a larger surface area so putting less bigger panels in or smaller wattage panels with a smaller surface area ends up taking about the same area if a roof
2. Panels do work in daylight but work on receiving radiant heat from the sun so a dull day in the uk means next to no production of energy

The size of a solar panel is determined more accurately determined by output per square meter, rather than simple physical size. In this sense current gen solar panels are capable of generating over 400W per panel, in comparison to around 200W per panel for almost identical sizes in previous generations, making the system capacity homes can have installed significantly higher than in the past.
Solar panels used for electricity production don’t rely on radiant heat from the sun to generate energy. In fact the hotter there are diminishing returns in terms of efficiency with solar panels the hotter they get. It might be that you were thinking about solar thermal panels which do rely on heat to generate hot water.
We try our hardest to give every one of our customers the best service we can, and we pride ourselves on being able to save our customers energy and money with every solar installation we are able to facilitate, especially during the current energy crisis.

After my appointment was made, I still got sales calls emails and texts everyday. When the sales calls checked they had my details, apologised, then called to sell again the next day!
The ‘expert’ advisor, had no knowledge and really didn’t know what he was doing. I had to ask him to leave, all very embarrassing!
